What a great experience we had with Beth. Our kitties were happy as can be after five days away and she gave us consistent updates and photos the whole time.

Diane provides excellent service. She got back to me right away. She showed for each visit as agreed upon. You could tell that she has experience and knowledge of dogs. She sent photos of my dogs and took them to the dog park. She even went out of her way to schedule a meet and greet before her date of service. She is competent and accommodating. I highly recommend Diane.

About: I’m a huge animal lover and the type of person who will absolutely stop to say hi to every dog I pass. I truly love caring for animals and making them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home while their owners are away. I’ve been watching dogs and cats for years for friends, family, referrals, and people I’ve met along the way, and I genuinely enjoy every minute of it. Growing up, my family helped with dog rescues — and still do today — so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I love getting to know every pet’s unique personality. I also have experience with longer-term care and have watched pets for entire summers (up to 3 months at a time), so I understand how important consistency, patience, and trust are when caring for someone’s furry family member. My goal is always to make your pet feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away and make sure they are happy, loved, comfortable, and cared for. I know leaving your pet with someone is a big deal, and I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and someone you can genuinely feel comfortable trusting with your pet. I would be so excited and grateful for the opportunity to meet you and your pet 🐶🐱. I work from home remotely a lot and am able to take full care of your pets on the weekends and most weekdays. It is a hobby/job for me because I love animals so much! I treat everyone’s pets like my own. Growing up, I had cats, dogs, horses, and every animal you could think of. I would love to have an animal now of my own, but I travel often!

About: I have lived with and cared for animals for as long as I can remember! I walk, bathe, feed, and play with my own family's dogs all the time; And, I have several extended family members, friends, and neighbors who have been able to count on me for dog walks, dog and/or cat sitting drop-ins, as well as overnight stays when they are away from their pets. I am hoping to work with animals in the future and am even vegan for animal rights. I assure you that you're fur baby will be in good hands with me :) *I have experience with puppies, middle-aged, and elderly doggies! I am currently home from college, for summer. Other than a few scheduled vacations on my end, I am available any day of the week or weekend, any time of day! I am available to feed, walk, play with, and just hang out with your pet. About: Recently moved back to Islamorada. 6 years I used to work as a Kennel Attendant, and Groomer's Assistant. Supervising and cleaning up after dogs big and small, While I know the job can sometimes be challenging, I also know how rewarding it can be. I walk daily on my own so exercise and being active would be no problem to incorporate, I have experience working with even the biggest of dogs and letting them know who's Alpha. I am sensitive to dogs needs regarding hot pavement, and would work to do my best to keep them in shaded or softer areas for walking. Since I worked as an attendant and bather, a simple bath and brush would be easy to arrange if shampoo and towels are available and your pet feels safe having a stranger do it. I would love being able to provide that little extra to make your dog feel like a personal client and special friend. I work a rather unpredictable schedule, but often have off weekends, where I'm home almost the entirety of the day if you check with me I can best let you know if I can host your pup. I care for a very very nice dog named Finley who would love a friend to hang out with, we have an outdoor porch and a big grassy yard, and I stay close by, playing with toys between chores or cuddling while watching a movie. There are also parks around if you feel comfortable having your pup come with me on a longer walk or to socialize with others. I am looking for more even tempered dogs to host but good playful energy is welcomed if they get along with others.

About: I have cared for my own and others’ pets for over 35 years—large and small dogs, different kinds of cats, birds, hamsters, bearded dragons, even fish. I have the most experience with dogs – I’ve loved and owned dogs since I was a young girl. Most recently I volunteered with and fostered dogs (& one kitten) for Detroit Dog Rescue for 8 years, which only stopped because I moved away. I have fostered and trained puppies, young to mid-age rescues, and also adjusted as my dog became a senior. I can walk your dog, have play time in a yard or a park, just have some chill time, and I can incorporate some enrichment to get them thinking and busy if you would like. I am also an expert at administering medicine with dogs and don’t mind doing this. I am also trained in Fear Free® pet care which focuses on behavior and body language with strategies to lower stress and anxiety in pets. I have vast experience with fearful and reactive dogs, owning one and fostering a few myself. My approach is patient and never pushy, letting the pet choose how they would like to interact, which could be none at all for some. I used Rover for many, many years for my pittie girl Penelope and understand the importance of clear communication, doing what the client wants, being on time, etc. I am excited to meet your pet and take care of them the way you would like. I am currently working part-time at a dive shop and have a bit of free time until we get busier. If I work, it can be any day of the week with weekends more busy than during the week. I can have a morning or afternoon shift or both. Mornings are 7am until noon and afternoons are 1115 to close to 4pm. I can travel directly to work to and from your home in the morning and afternoon. I can do drop-ins, longer stays, or overnights. I will make sure your pets are safe and secure in the yard when we are out there. I can easily crate them as well. I will do as you wish in your home.

About: I've been surrounded by furry friends my entire life and have a lifetime of experience taking care of multiple animals. I have a background in dog training through my undergraduate at Colorado State University, and in conservation focusing on dolphin training and marine science education at the University of Miami throughout my masters and Ph.D. I have been a pet sitter since I was a young girl ranging from daily walks to overnight stays. My schedule is extremely flexible as pet care is a crucial daily routine because these animals love us unconditionally and we need to do the same for them! I have a lot of crate training experience as my dog used one back when she was a puppy. Through years of learning positive reinforcement in both dog and dolphin training, I have taught many animals their basic tasks such as "sit" and "shake", as well as higher-end tasks such as "place" and "wait". Your furry friend will have endless amounts of fun with me and will have the option to learn new things!

About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life (29yrs old). I have helped countless families and friends take care of and train their pets. I am an animal lover to my core; your pet will always be in safe hands when in my care. I DO NOT PROVIDE SERVICES FOR PET OWNERS NORTH OF THE FLORIDA KEYS. I am exclusive to the Florida Keys and can provide services from Marathon to Key Largo. As a retired Air Force veteran, I have a lot of time on my hands. I am available Monday through Sunday at any time needed. I am here for your pet! I can crate your animals if needed, take them on walks, let them play outside (if you have a backyard), and I will give any amount of love and stimulation to the pets if they want it. I can follow any diets or diet restrictions that your pet may be on. I can also tend to disabled animals as well. Anything that you and your pets may need to feel the most comfortable.

About: My wife and I provide dog sitting, dog walks, drop in visits for multiple families in the Upper Keys area and have three fur babies of our own. We have been dog sitting for several years and have provided care for a multitude of canines, from dog walking services, fostering, and boarding. We are willing to take all canines that are well-mannered and play nice with others. We are also willing and able to care for puppies and older companions. I also provide obedience classes for shelter animals, puppies, and adoptions who need help with simple tasks like crate training, walking on a leash, sitting, and house training. Pet care is already a natural part of our daily routine. My wife and I work as a team, which gives us flexibility to make sure pets get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. We enjoy being active and spending time with animals, so caring for additional pets fits easily into our lifestyle. Our goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for just like they would at home. We’re a husband-and-wife team and longtime dog owners ourselves, so caring for pets is already a big part of our everyday life. We have three dogs of our own and understand that every pet has a different personality, routine, and comfort level. In our home, we focus on creating a relaxed, safe environment with plenty of attention, playtime, walks, potty breaks, and downtime. We treat visiting pets like part of the family while still following the routine and rules their owners are used to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we’re respectful of both the pet’s routine and the home. We follow feeding schedules, walking instructions, medications or special directions provided, keep things clean, and make sure pets get plenty of companionship and attention. Having two of us also means an extra set of eyes, extra attention, and more flexibility when caring for your pets. Most importantly, we want owners to feel comfortable knowing their pets are being cared for by people who genuinely love animals and will treat them the way we would want our own dogs treated.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
