I have never had anyone but family watch our dogs prior and was panicking when we found out we could not bring our dogs on our family trip, but I am so grateful it led me to Kaylen! I actually got to enjoy my time away, (as much as you can when missing your pups), because I trust Kaylen so much, our dogs were in the best hands. We got amazing updates, our house was left in immaculate condition, our dogs were so happy and all updates showed how loved they were, it was just such a fantastic experience! Kaylen is really there for the dogs, she never judged, she was so helpful in guiding us through the meet and greets, it was such a phenomenal time, I really can not put into words how amazing she is and how much I fully trust her with my Mozzy and Bo. About: I have been in love with animals since I was little. I grew up on a farm with horses, cows, a sheep, dogs and cats. I've had 9 rescue dogs throughout my life, as well as 8 niece and nephew pups and countless friends' dogs I've cared for and loved. I have also volunteered at shelters and wildlife rescues, and I've even camel sat! I have experience working with and caring for different breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments and have partnered with trainers to help dogs with work through anxiety, over-stimulation, and reactivity issues. I have also cared for special needs dogs and senior dogs who need meds, diapers, traction devices, slings, and extra attention. Once I get to know a pup, I am very attuned to their behavior/mood/signs and am able to help them feel cared for and safe. I'm currently working part time, so my availability is very wide open. I'm free for walks and play time during the day or overnight stays with your pup in your home if you have a work trip or vacation. Is your dog an escape artist? I've had one of those, so I can bring a heavy wooden gate to block off doors or other areas of the house as needed. Other than that, I will treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own dogs, and considering that my friends have said they would like to be reincarnated as one of my dogs....

I have a very open schedule and I am available any day of the week and times that work with the schedule of you & your pets. Safety is the number one. I will go over details with you prior to make sure your pets and home are in safe keeping, so I know where your dog or cat is typically located/kept in or out of the home and all doors and fences are always secure. It is a detail that I am very particular about!

About: Hi there! I have lots of experience caring for pets ranging from my own pets to shadowing at veterinary clinics in the DFW area. I am happy to help with walks and check-ins, and I am comfortable working with any breed or species. I have cared for a wide variety of dogs, elderly and young, and can accommodate special needs. For walks I work with owners to establish the safest route according to their pups needs in! For check-ins I can do feedings, administer meds, and play with your pup to make sure they’re happy while you’re away. I currently work full time Monday through Thursday. I can fit in walks and check-ins before and after work on those days, but Friday-Sunday I generally have an open availability for any help you might need. Each animal is different and requires their own unique approach. I try to respect this when establishing a relationship with both owner and pet. For walks and check-ins, I will work with you to make sure I can properly care for your animal! If you are considering boarding please be aware I have 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own and we will need to heavily discuss if everyone can blend together safely!
