I'm comfortable caring for a wide variety of animals & getting to know their individual personalities, routines, & needs. I've cared for dogs, cats, fish, frogs, lizards, turtles, guinea pigs, chickens, & goats. I love getting outside, playing, & giving pets plenty of attention. I'm no stranger to nervous or shy pets, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, & building trust at their own pace. I also have personal experience with large breeds, including English Mastiffs & Great Danes (they're secretly just big babies!). I have experience caring for pets with additional needs, including GI issues, allergies, vision or hearing impairments, & special dietary requirements. I'm comfortable following specific feeding instructions, medication schedules, & other care routines. I'm also Animal CPR certified, so I understand how to properly care for unexpected situations. I want you to feel just as comfortable as your pet does, so I provide regular updates & photos to keep you in the loop & give you peace of mind while you're away. I have a pretty flexible schedule working from home. I’m able to make time for walks, playtime, feeding, & check-ins. I’m also happy to work around a pet’s normal routine & make sure they get the consistency & care they’re used to! I like to keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible, especially when they’re staying in their own home. Whether sticking to specific feeding times, medications, walks, or other care routines, I focus on not missing any details. During drop-ins, I make sure to provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, & companionship rather than simply checking in and leaving. About: I have been in love with animals since I was little. I grew up on a farm with horses, cows, a sheep, dogs and cats. I've had 9 rescue dogs throughout my life, as well as 8 niece and nephew pups and countless friends' dogs I've cared for and loved. I have also volunteered at shelters and wildlife rescues, and I've even camel sat! I have experience working with and caring for different breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments and have partnered with trainers to help dogs with work through anxiety, over-stimulation, and reactivity issues. I have also cared for special needs dogs and senior dogs who need meds, diapers, traction devices, slings, and extra attention. Once I get to know a pup, I am very attuned to their behavior/mood/signs and am able to help them feel cared for and safe. I'm currently working part time, so my availability is very wide open. I'm free for walks and play time during the day or overnight stays with your pup in your home if you have a work trip or vacation. Is your dog an escape artist? I've had one of those, so I can bring a heavy wooden gate to block off doors or other areas of the house as needed. Other than that, I will treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own dogs, and considering that my friends have said they would like to be reincarnated as one of my dogs....

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
