About: I am the definition of an animal lover, which I attribute to having had animals around my entire life. I grew up with Australian shepherds, German shepherds, cats, hamsters, and even tarantulas! I am extremely comfortable walking dogs, giving them medication via food, and managing when to let them out to go to the bathroom. I’m also willing to give a big furry dog a good brush if they need it! I have lived primarily with big dogs, but have had close relationships with small dogs through friends and my husband’s family whom I have dog sat for in the past. In addition, I am a massive cat lover. I was given a kitten when I was 8 years old and had her for 19 years until she just recently passed. In her senior years, she had both hypothyroidism and asthma so I am well-versed in giving cats inhalers and medication in various forms (via dropper, ear application, in treats, and in food). I am a dependable dog and cat sitter/caretaker because I know how much your animal means to you. I’m an extremely organized person so you can count on me to be reliable with pick-up, drop-off, and everything in between. Taking care of your animal would not be a job to me because I am so happy to do it! I work all day Tuesday and Thursday and the occasional Monday, Wednesday or Friday depending on when I am scheduled (only 4 hours shifts on those days) so I could watch an animal full time during three weekdays in addition to weekends. I am still more than willing to watch an animal for an entire week and either modify my work schedule to be with them more, or just make sure they are set up for the days I am in office. I have a non-smoking home with one cat and two people including myself. My home would be an extremely relaxing environment for a pet and due to my flexible schedule, I can dedicate nearly full-time care to an animal. Since I have a cat, I would only really be able to have dogs stay overnight for a couple-day stint since I'd prefer to keep them separate. In my client's home I would offer the same care in addition to respecting the environment. I'm naturally a very clean person and always pick up after myself.

About: I've grown up with animals my whole life- cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, etc. I've taken care of pets of all ages, from young to senior. I am available all days of the week, including the weekends. My time schedule is flexible and I would also be able to do drop in visits or stay overnight as well. By following owner specific instructions when given, I strive to make both the pet(s), and thus the owner, feel safe while under my current care.

About: Hi my name is Ashly! I am here for all your pet needs! I grew up in northern Illinois where we had a farm with various animals. We fostered dogs for a time.. At one point waking up on thanksgiving to 10 border collie pups being born in our dining room. I do have a 1 year old Aussie doodle named Bodhi, he loves other dogs and people. I also have a 10 year old little boy who is a dog LOVER! I do work for the complex that I live in, so I am more than capable of check ins as needed. We also have a dog park within walking distance of my apartment! I am very mindful of your pets needs, and more than happy to set up meet and greets ahead of time to make you feel more comfortable! I currently work full time weekdays 9 am to 6 pm. I do live where I work, my apartment is within walking distance of my office so I am more than able to stop and check on your fur baby as needed! I am more than happy to set up a meet and greet at my apartment to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I am on the second floor with a screened in patio. We are also within walking distance of the dog park if your pet is in need of more activity!

About: I’m known to host pups while my friends are out for the evening or for the weekend. I enjoy spending quality time with dogs whether it be lounging or going for a walk! I’m currently working from home and love having a furry companion during my daily walks. I love cuddling up with a dog and watching reality tv on weeknights. The community I live in has a dog park and trails nearby to provide pups with plenty of movement, sunlight, and quality time in and outside the home.

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I have never had a moment in my life where I was not around pets in some capacity. I spent time with my own dogs and cats as well as working at my sister’s grooming salon as a bather and pet sitter. I was also my friends and neighbors contact when they needed someone to care for their pets. I have been an active volunteer with a local pitbull rescue for many years and spend my free time with the rescue dogs and doing adoption events. I am knowledgeable with different behaviors and walking accessories (ex: different harness and collar set ups) so I can ensure safety for your pet in all situations that may present while on a walk or visit. About: I've grown up with dogs and cats. Growing up, my family had Dalmatians, which probably began my love for large dogs. I currently have two rescue, pitty-mixes. I love the playful energy and am understanding that different dogs have different needs. My dog, Bear, is always getting into something, so I've become pretty good with first-aid! I am a very organized person and have dealt with medications given at particular times. I'd rather be overly cautious than not cautious enough! I have a senior cat that I rescued in 2010. She runs the house and that's ok by me! I love snuggling with dogs and cats alike and giving them all the attention. My education background is a Masters in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Biology, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. I'm totally OK with spending the night with your pets if needed. My husband can watch our crazy boys and cat :) I used to teach middle school science when I lived in Maryland but now I'm a stay-at-home mom in Illinois! Just let me know when you are needed and I'll make it work! I am a very organized, clean and tidy person. I totally understand how much we love our fur babies and will treat them like I'd treat my own. Again, I'd rather be overly cautious than not enough! Our babies can't voice for themselves so it is important to always advocate for them and do what is in their best interest!

I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks; studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people, which has been an invaluable learning experience for me. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach and style that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs and their pet parents. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. My home is on a 1/2 acre fenced in wooded lot with a cabin like interior and country atmosphere that is both welcoming , safe, and fun for my dog guests, and I make it a top priority to treat your dogs like family. I also have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dogs along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I have never been a groomer but I love giving pets a good brushing to keep their coat clean and tangle free. Currently my family consists of two older large dogs and a puppy. About: I have been pet sitting cats and dogs for over 10 years. As my family as always been animal lovers, taking care of furry friends comes naturally to me. I love getting to help others while spending time with and caring for their pets. I am a substitute teacher and freelance creative, so I have a lot of freedom to build my own schedule - I usually build it weekly. This allows me to create the best possible schedule for my clients and myself. When I enter someone’s home to care for a pet, I have the utmost respect and care for a clients belongings and spaces. About: I've taken care of pets from as earliest as birth and into their elderly years, since I was 8. My family would occasionally breed our American Akitas. I've trained them, bathed them, cleaned up after them, and administered medications. They are a ton of work, but always worth the effort when we saw them finally meet their forever homes. I am available for whatever service you need, except for boarding, most days of the week except Thursdays after 2 pm, Fridays, and Saturdays before 2 pm. I am unable to care for your pet at my residence. We have 5 dogs here currently and I wouldn't want to overwhelm your pet with so many new faces. I am more than willing to be as accommodating as needed to care for them in your home, walking them, or simply letting out for a potty break.

About: I have been a pet owner since I brought my first dog home at 12yo and told my parents "they said we could keep her overnight to see if we liked her. We currently have three dogs, and my roommate has two. I truly believe that people don't deserve dogs, they are the best! I decided to take a break from working full time, and this is my only job right now. Coming from working 12 hours a days, I understand the guilt that goes along with that for pet parents. I'm happy to step in where you can't! I'm used to working with an array of dogs, big and small along with those that have special needs, like my own.
