“Rachel was awesome and so sweet. My Roxy loved her from the start and didn't even bark at her (which Roxy normally does to any new person that comes to our house) but she was calm and just wanted to sniff her. Rachel was prompt and overall awesome. We will definitely be rebooking for our recurring needs! I also appreciated Rachels last minute availability :)”

About: I bring positive energy, patience, and lots of love to every dog I care for. I work with dogs of all ages and focus on creating a stress-free, fun, and comforting experience through play, cuddles, walks, and attentive care. I take time to learn each dog's personality and needs so they feel safe, happy, and loved-- and I keep owners connected with updates and photos so they know their pup is in great hands. I am home from work for the summer. I am a full-time elementary school teacher during the school year, so I am very flexible and can make my own schedule. I am able to accommodate a variety of needs/ requests. I have a fully fenced backyard, and a senior female dog who is super social with other dogs and people. I will work with you to ensure your dog's needs are met and his/ her schedule remains the same as in their permanent home.

(Or tailored care to the particular animal(s) at your home)- open to discussion based on the needs of the client requesting at the time.

“We starting using Lori about two weeks ago and she has been great. Chelsea, our dog, loves her. The weather had been rainy windy and cold lately but she is still taking great care of her and it truly puts my mind at ease while working knowing Chelsea is in good reliable hands. ”

About: I have had dogs since I was 10 , and I've always had a passion for them. When I was younger, I would read books about every type of dog I could get my hands on. I'll be good for your pets because I'm able to adjust to every individual need for your animals. I've watched dogs for friends and family for many years while they were on vacation. I have spent the last few years working in commercial pet care at various daycare and boarding facilities. This includes dogs, cats, birds and various small rodents. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make your dogs, and yourself as comfortable as possible. I'm happy to go on frequent walks of any duration or difficulty. I used to take one of my own dogs hiking so I'm willing and able to do whatever they are used to. I'm also happy to be at your home as frequently as you'd prefer, and I'd love to maintain open communication with you while you are away. I have also recently acquired a PACCC certification. I’m freelancing at the moment so I have an open schedule at the moment. I am available Mondays, and Wednesday - Saturday. Sundays are also available upon request. I always prefer to meet with pet parents so I can be aware of any potential safety problems in the home and when walking dogs I like to bring a secondary slip leash to use so that in case anything happens to the first leash/collar, your pet is unable to slip away from me.
About: I've grown up with animals my whole life- cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, etc. I've taken care of pets of all ages, from young to senior. By following owner specific instructions when given, I strive to make both the pet(s), and thus the owner, feel safe while under my current care.

About: ’ve grown up with both cats and dogs and have always had animals in my life. About: Hi! I'm Karah, and I'm 25 years old. I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and have more than 6 years of professional experience working with dogs. Throughout my career, I've worked in boarding, daycare, grooming, and training environments, giving me experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Most recently, I worked overnight at a professional dog training facility, where I was trusted to independently supervise and care for multiple dogs throughout the night. That experience taught me to recognize changes in behavior, respond calmly in unexpected situations, and ensure every dog remained safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners were away. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, giant breeds, and dogs with special needs, and I'm experienced administering both oral and injectable medications. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, enrichment activities, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I'll make sure they receive the individual attention and care they deserve. I'm currently a full-time college student, and pet care allows me to continue doing work I'm passionate about while pursuing my degree. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, and my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! Pet care fits very naturally into my schedule. I'm reliable, punctual, and committed to providing dependable care for every booking. I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever my schedule allows and will always communicate promptly if I'm unavailable. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Through my professional experience I've learned how to read canine body language, recognize signs of stress or illness, and adapt my care to each pet's individual needs. I closely follow your pet's normal routine, keep a clean and secure environment, and provide regular photo updates so you can feel confident they're receiving excellent care while you're away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
