“Julia and her husband Dylan watched our pups and they were wonderful! Took care of both of our mid-size dogs giving them lots of love and making sure they felt cared for while we were away. I would highly recommend the duo for dog watching! Amazing! Would definitely reach out again to use their services.”

About: I like to pay attention to your pet’s cues to determine their wants and needs. I’ve primarily helped friends and family with their pets and the more I spend time with animals, the more I fall in love. I currently work remotely from home. Mornings and evenings are easy! Afternoons will require some maneuvering but I can be transparent about my availability based on your needs and the dates of service. Depending on the distance I can stop by 2 or 3 times a day. I’m only offering drop-in services and walks at this time. I would be respectful of your space and focus on what I’ve been hired to do. If you need me to refresh your pets belongings, brush them, or wipe them down, etc, I’d be happy to. I have a daily routine with our family dog so I’m happy to continue any routines with your fur baby.
“Emily was communicative and paid attention to detail. She was warm, kind, and patient- which helped our cats adjust and get the play and cuddles they needed. We would book with her again.”

“Joseph always goes above and beyond as a pet sitter. He is an incredibly good communicator and I know that my dog is being well loved and taken care of under Joseph’s care. My dog is very active and still has lots of puppy energy, but Joseph remains patient with him and makes sure that my dog can safely get his energy out.”

“Martin was amazing with my two dogs. He spent the time to built their trust and love and took them on long and engaging walks which left them exhausted. I 100% recommend him.”
“CeCe dropped in to care for our cat while we were away. She took care of our cat like she was her own, providing playtime and cuddles in addition to taking care of the more basic food/water/litter needs. She provided us with daily updates and was very communicative. It’s really comforting to know your pet is in good hands. I will definitely be contacting CeCe the next time we need a sitter. Thank you so much!!”

“It was such a relief to be able to go on vacation and know our cats weren't just being fed, but truly taken care of. Stacy was very communicative and we could tell she made good friends with our cats - they still ask when shes coming back. She came over in advance to get a lay of the land and meet them and learn all their hiding spots. She even took the litter when she left so we wouldn't have to deal with it. Stacy really was wonderful and knowing our cats were being loved by someone with such great experience while we were away was such a gift!”
About: I'll make sure your pet has the best time possible in your absence. I just love seeing happy animals, earning their sacred trust, and helping them become comfortable and confident❤️ I offer training, as well! And I'll gladly watch any pet, big or small. Both on and off of Rover, walking and training dogs is what I do most for work! So, my schedule is constantly changing to ensure every pet gets proper care. My biggest con is that I may be late because of spending extra time with client's pets, but I try to plan for it wherever possible! If a dog needs 10 more minutes, but my time is already up, I'm not just going to leave. I am very respectful of other people's homes, and always will be. I am not currently offering to pet sit in my home, as my family has allergies.
“Crystal is always so good with my two cats! They absolutely adore her, and they’re hard to win over. She also effectively administered two daily medications for my cat. I rely on Crystal for all of my cat sitting at this point!”

“Candice was terrific with both of our dogs — they have opposite personalities and they clearly both warmed up to her quickly. She was communicative, reliable, capable and loving, and we won’t hesitate to use her again!”

“Becky is fantastic! She helped take care of our puppy in the afternoons for a drop in visit and did an amazing job! Our Teddy loves her! She was on time , polite and had great communication skills! We loved getting the updates and awesome pictures! Thank you Becky for doing such a wonderful job caring for Teddy!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Jefferson Valley
Being my first time using Rover, I was pleased to find the sitter locator map to help me connect with someone close to me. Daniella was perfect! She tended to our cats while we were gone for a week and was prompt, professional and courteous, sending us photos and status reports with each visit she made. We returned home to find the cats happy and well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
