“Emma was WONDERFUL! I was very nervous about using Rover while we were away and Emma put us right at ease. She updated us every time she visited and our dog loved her. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Justine helped us out with a last minute request to drop in to let our puppies have a potty break during the day. The puppies loved her. 🐕 🐶 I highly recommend her for your pet needs!”

“Brandi took great care of our needy dog and 2 elderly cats at short notice. Cleaned up messes. Spent time outside in the heat letting the dog run around the yard. Appreciated her updates.”

“Megan was nothing less than a life saver for Beauty and I this weekend. Megan came in on very short notice. Yet she did a wonderful job in traversing my gated community without prior instruction, and more importantly, in taking care of Beauty. Megan sent me several lovely photos of Beauty during her two drop-ins that day. I would definitely use Megan again. I would also definitely recommend her to others.”

“Jaclyn did a great job with Lula. She was able to get Lula outside to poop and pee. I think Lula made a new friend today. Would definitely have Jaclyn back.”

“Cassie K was absolutely amazing! She cared for our cat Tessa for a full week and went above and beyond—feeding, tending to her litter box , giving porch time, and even wiping Tessa’s little drippy eye. She sent daily photos, videos, and even a fun cartoon picture, which gave us so much peace of mind. On her last day, she surprised us with a compilation video of Tessa from the week! Cassie also fed our outdoor critters, watered plants, emptied the pool filter, and brought in a package. She was always on time, reliable, and left everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for better care—We highly recommend Cassie K!”

About: With over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, I have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies to senior cats, I provide attentive, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and well-loved. My commitment is to treat each animal with the same respect and dedication I would give my own. I’m currently working part tome while also attending school but can provide frequent check ins for your pets while also provide house sitting on weekends if needed. I provide dependable in-home pet care, ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve owned pets my whole life. Cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons, axolotls… I have had older cats and dogs that require medications and special care. I worked at a pet store for about 2 years. I am always willing to learn about your pet! I am a full time college student, I’m on campus for about 8 hours including commute time. A typical day allows me time to take care of my animals before I leave for class and when I get home. I have a fenced in yard for my dog. My cat and dog are free roam in the house. I have not had an outdoor cat and no declawing. The other animals in my household are in a spacious cage and well taken care of.

“Abigail was absolutely PERFECT! After the last day my husband asked if she could come every day, lol. Being in another country and away from home can be daunting and I never worried about my kitties or home as she sent me detailed updates and pics every day. I looked forward to that every day. Her services are very affordable but the peace of mind she brings is priceless. My cat is very spicy and requires daily meds orally and it is not easy! I'm a Vet Tech and it's hard for me. Abigail did everything with ease and was always positive and looking for new ways to make the process go better and easier on my cat. I will use Abigail again and again as long as she is available. Once the word gets out how fabulous she is I'm not sure how often I'll get the chance! I could go on and on but I'll cut it short and say you should definitely hire her - you won't be disappointed.”

“Completely enjoyed having Maria drop in and help my senior cats Ginger and Stella. House was neat and both cats were calm and satisfied when I got back. Maria also gave some detailed reviews with each visit which was very reassuring. We’ll be happy to have her back next trip!”

“Debra has been coming for drop-in visits at my house for 2 weeks to take care of my sweet pup. She always spends the time taking great care of him. I hope to continue to use Debra on a long term basis when I need help caring for my pup. Highly recommend!!”

10/10, I would absolutely book with her again! She made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Communication was excellent, everything went smoothly, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend her to others.

Cassie was wonderful with my pets. Both of my Senior dogs needed a bit of extra attention, one scratched his eye and Cassie took the extra time to get him checked out with our vet. She gave great updates on how my babies were doing and snapped some fabulous pictures of them as well! I always get anxious when leaving my pets to go out of town but they were all in great hands. Thank you so much, Cassie!

I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Veronica! This was our 3rd booking with Veronica while we were out of town, and as usual, she was amazing. Our once shy and skittish kitty has become comfortable with Veronica and her check ins - that in and of itself was a huge success! I’m always so grateful for Veronica and her ability to put my mind at ease. I trust her wholeheartedly to care for our girls in our absence. Thank you for the fabulous care and concern you always provide!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jacobsville. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
