“Shannon was VERY professional annd anssis is last minute when our previous planned provider feel through. She took time with our dog. Feedback was excellent and she gave him attention and care while we were away for the day. I definitely recommend her!!!”

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life. Cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons, axolotls… I have had older cats and dogs that require medications and special care. I worked at a pet store for about 2 years. I am always willing to learn about your pet! I am a full time college student, I’m on campus for about 8 hours including commute time. A typical day allows me time to take care of my animals before I leave for class and when I get home. I have a fenced in yard for my dog. My cat and dog are free roam in the house. I have not had an outdoor cat and no declawing. The other animals in my household are in a spacious cage and well taken care of.
About: With over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, I have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies to senior cats, I provide attentive, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and well-loved. My commitment is to treat each animal with the same respect and dedication I would give my own. I’m currently working part tome while also attending school but can provide frequent check ins for your pets while also provide house sitting on weekends if needed. I provide dependable in-home pet care, ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away.

“Megan was great. She came down to meet our dogs and stayed for almost an hour to make sure the dogs were comfortable with her. She sent us pictures with each visit and even brought them some treats. Would definitely recommend using Megan and will use her services again. Thanks Megan.”

“Heather was great!! She watched my two kitties for a week while I was away paying them one hour visits each day. She took my cat meow outside and played with my other cat clementine and sent pictures of it all. I was so appreciative while I was gone! Will definitely be booking her again.”

“Alex was an awesome pet sitter. Very reliable, responsive, sent photos & videos/updates daily. The dogs loved playing with him. We greatly appreciated him taking good care of our fur kids.”

“Cassie always takes care of our animals, dog, cats and chicken. We are so grateful for her. I had to write another review because Cassie is the first person (aside from me and my husband) that our new kitten has gone up to and let pet him. He’s super sweet but a scaredy cat so this proves Cassie is an animal whisperer.”
About: I have been caring for pets my entire life, but officially became a Rover Provider in June 2025. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, kittens and adult cats, reactive dogs, timid pets, and even exotic pets. I cared for guinea pigs for six years, and have experience caring for breaded dragons, snakes, fish, and more. Currently, I live with a Cane Corso, Yorkie Poo, two cats, and a mutt. Pet-care is one of my passions, I am always ready to learn how to care for new pets! My daily routine is built around pet-care. I am used to adapting my schedule to accommodate for walks, feeding, check-ins - whatever is best for your pet. of flexibility. I build safety and trust with clients through clear, honest, and open communication. I will be upfront about what I can and cannot do. I build trust with the pets by following their lead. I read body language to determine the boundaries shared by the pet, and respect them. Above all, I strive to foster a warm and welcoming environment that prioritizes not only the safety of every living creature involved, and their happiness and joy, too!
“Melissa was amazing for our week-long trip. Our two cats approved (and I trust my female cat's judgement when it comes to people!) She made sure that our house was secure, the litter box and food dishes were clean, and that our cats received the kind of attention they needed each day. Thank you!!!”

I'm currently working from home, so I have the availability to take care of your pets part time during the week and full time during the weekend. About: Ive been around, and taken care of pets for my family/other friends and family for as long as I can remember. I have been trusted with the tasks of walking, grooming, medicating, and making sure the well being of the pet is at its fullest, and if it’s not, I am keen to figure out the problem. I am also very good with pets under the age of 1, as I have assisted in raising 3 litters of dogs of my own. I currently work as a freelance musician, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! My availability is very flexible, as the shows I play are in town, and only take up a small part of the day or night, so I will not be away from your pet very long, if at all! I have 5 dogs of my own, who are on a feeding/bathroom schedule that we follow daily. When I take them outside I am with them to make sure they do all they need to do so there are no accidents in the house. When taking care of your pet I will always cater to their need/routine; give them as much space, and or as much love as they need!

About: I have dog sat for neighbors and family for the last 10 years. I walk dogs, play with them, feed them, and clean up after them. I am currently a teacher on summer break so I am available during the work day to spend some time with your furry friends! I can also walk dogs as well. I am able to care for your furry friends at your home. I currently do not have a dog, but grew up with 3 family dogs. I love spending times with my family dogs, playing with them and taking them for walks.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was around 11 years old and I had a cat when I was little. I absolutely adore animals and believe they deserve the absolute best care. I currently have a full time job but am free every day after 5:30. I will happily take care of your fur baby in the morning before work, on my hour lunch break, and after work. Fully available every other Saturday (after 1:30 on the others) and every Sunday. I make sure my dog is properly fed throughout the day and always has clean water. I take him outside every few hours to use the bathroom and so he can run around and play in the fresh air.
About: I have worked with animals professionally for 15 years straight but have had pets of my own my entire life. I have a soft spot for senior pets, and can administer medications and provide light grooming at an additional cost. I am comfortable working with dogs, and cats. I am a full-time employee but have the ability to take my pet sits with me to work. I keep my sits local so I can utilize my lunch-breaks to check on pets. I have pets of my own that I care for daily. I prefer to keep dogs crated if staying in my home while I'm out of the house to ensure their safety as well as my own pets safety. I do require a rabies vaccine and flea/tick/heartworm to be given if an animal is to stay in my home.

10/10, I would absolutely book with her again! She made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Communication was excellent, everything went smoothly, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend her to others.

I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Veronica! This was our 3rd booking with Veronica while we were out of town, and as usual, she was amazing. Our once shy and skittish kitty has become comfortable with Veronica and her check ins - that in and of itself was a huge success! I’m always so grateful for Veronica and her ability to put my mind at ease. I trust her wholeheartedly to care for our girls in our absence. Thank you for the fabulous care and concern you always provide!!

Jessica was outstanding with my pet cat! She was a natural and my Pookee loved her. Jessica not only took care of my cat, she also took care of the kitchen and miscellaneous supplies needed to get the job done. I was so happy with her results. I thoroughly recommend her if you have a cat that needs to be taken care of while you are away. Jessica is outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about her. She’s the best!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Riviera Beach. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
