About: I’m a disabled veteran & dogs have always been my peace so i decided to start incorporating more of them into my daily life & call it “work” 🥰 pet-loving is part of my every day life! i take my own pups for walks in the morning before the heat, and during the warmest days of winter. i love being outside, playing with animals & taking care of them! i will use the app, frequent communications in texting, etc. along with pictures and videos to send to all my pet parents! walking the pups at least a mile, if they can, or more if requested! i also walk all my clients separately from others, so no need to worry about differing personalities.
“Bella did a terrific job caring for our 4 cats. She took time to play with them, and gave us extra details about how they were doing. She was reliable and left everything neat and tidy. I had to change my schedule at the last minute due to illness, and she was flexible and understanding. We would highly recommend Bella to care for your fur babies when you're away!”
“Brooke and Robbie took great care of my sweet prince, Cheddar! I last minute asked if they would be willing to have him all day vs just a drop in and they were so accommodating. They provided updates and lots of pictures. I know Cheddar had a blast and would give them a 5 start review :) 10/10 would book again!”

“Brianna is dependable, responsible and she understands dogs! I felt so comfortable knowing our 3 yr old lab was getting a visit from her while we were away. I’m very thankful to have found Brianna and highly recommend her!”

“It was wonderful meeting Shay and she did a great job watching Dewey and Stella for the first time! She was reliable and communicative, which I really appreciated. Our Dewey is a rescue and is shy to people she doesn’t know. Shay understood and handled it well. Will definitely be asking her to watch our dogs again!”

About: Caring for animals has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve been walking and caring for dogs since I was a young child and have always had a special place in my heart for our four-legged family members. I currently have three dogs of my own — Cassie, my German Shepherd; Bandit, my Miniature Pinscher; and Sterling, my Blue Heeler mix. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of many different ages, personalities, and needs. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their individual routines, personalities, and what makes them feel comfortable and loved. Whether your pet is playful, energetic, senior, shy, or needs a little extra patience, I’m happy to provide personalized care. When your pets are in my care, they’ll be treated like family — with plenty of attention, affection, patience, playtime, and, of course, lots of love! 🐾💜 I work during the day during the week, but I’m available for pet care during evenings, weekends, and other times outside of my regular work schedule. I’m happy to work with pet parents to find times that fit their needs and will always communicate my availability clearly. I’m especially interested in helping with weekend care, walks, drop-in visits, and caring for pets while their families are traveling. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow each pet parent’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, special routines, and any important safety considerations. I understand that some pets need time to warm up, so I’m patient and never force interaction. I’m also very comfortable caring for senior, shy, energetic, and special-needs pets. With three dogs and a cat of my own, I understand how important it is to know that your fur babies are safe, happy, and receiving the same loving care they would receive at home. I’ll treat your pets as my own and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾💜
“Brenna was amazing. My shy and cautious cat accepted her right away. She went above and beyond my expectations, and I highly recommend her. She was communicative and punctual. She provided pictures and updates and even took care of my plants!”

“Deedee is an absolute god send. Our German shepherd can be intimidating but luckily with all of her experience, Deedee has had zero issues with him. She takes the time to understand your dog and put your mind to ease. I only wish we found her a lot sooner!”

“Natalie was such an amazing caretaker while my husband and I were away throughout the day. She was very attentive, quick responder, and flexible with our schedule. We absolutely would hire her again! She cared for our boys in such a perfect way even thought they can get into trouble, she never let them and gave them the love and care they needed”

“Cindy was amazing and gave us such peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats was a stray and hides whenever someone new is at the house. She took the time (and effort) to find him under one of the beds and just talk to him! The pictures and updates were so great to receive. Will not hesitate to use her again!”

“Ramsey did an excellent job caring for my two cats. I’d trust them with her any time. Came home to find littler boxes and food bowls clean. I can tell she played with the cats during the drop in visits. Thanks, Ramsey!”

“We had a great first experience with Megan! She was wonderful at our meet & greet, asked questions, and made communication really easy. She seemed genuinely excited to meet our dog, quirks and all, and was very thorough during her drop-in. She even sent us a photo! We’re looking forward to having her back.”

About: I have had pets all my life. I have 5 of my own dogs of various shape and size and foster for a couple different rescues! I am very flexible, I'm available most of the time and love to meet new pets. I try to fit the needs of pet owners where I can. I don’t plan on doing any home care. I have 5 dogs of my own and also foster. This just isn’t possible at this time.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
