About: I have taken care of cats and dogs from a very young age. Aside from having an American Bulldog and growing up with 5 different cats throughout my life, I’ve been a consistent pet sitter to family and friends. For example, over the past 5 years I have taken care of a friends cats during the holidays - stopping in 3x per day to feed them, do litter, bring company, and play. On another hand, I consistently have watched a friends Burmese Mountain dog and Golden Retriever whenever she needed. Overall, I love watching all kinds of pets and bringing them company and care when their owner is away or not available. I am experienced, reliable, and available when you need! I’m currently working from home, I am readily available before 9am, after 5pm, can accommodate to other requests depending on work schedule. I can also take pets in my home during the day if requested or work from your home. I am available any time on weekends and would be open to boarding if necessary. Also open to I have experience working with different types of animals and am always thinking on the side of caution while pet sitting or in another’s home. If coming to me, have a safe home with one cat that may be put away in another room to keep pets separate if requested. I also have a lengthy yard that could be used to take your pet outside upon request. I understand how much you love and care for your pets, as I do as well and am be extremely protective of my kitty. I will treat them like my own and be extremely gentle / kind to your little angel!

About: I am a retired teacher and I am responsible and truly love dogs. I understand that dogs are part of your family, and you want to have piece of mind when you are on vacation or you are at work that your dogs will be well taken care of. I feel that way about my pet sitter. I am a teacher, and I have summers off. I would like to do pet sitting during the summer for people who go on vacation. I would take care of your pet in your home. My care would include feeding your dog, walking your dog, and spending time with your dog.

Alex came over for a drop in visit. Our dog has some fear/anxiety issues so we were a bit nervous. He was so great with Dierks and Dierks even ended up falling asleep right next to him. Thankful to have found Alex on here and look forward to future visits!

Emma is an incredible cat sitter! From the moment I met her, I felt completely confident leaving our cats in her care. She took the time to get to know their personalities and routines. Emma kept us updated with messages and photos, which we loved. It's clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. About: I've spent my life caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, and I'm comfortable adapting to each pet's unique needs. I grew up with a pitbull who was very territorial and not friendly with strangers, so I’ve learned to understand warning signs and am comfortable with caring for dogs with behavioral issues. Today, I care for a lively household that includes an extremely energetic French Bulldog, a gentle and timid German Shepherd mix (very very large dog), a Maine Coon cat, a chinchilla, and 11 chickens. I have taken care of older dogs that needed physical support during walks, as well as dogs with medicine schedules. I am comfortable with manually putting medicine into a dog’s mouth if necessary for their routine. I have also cared for corn snakes, ball pythons and axolotls. My experience with such a wide range of critters has made me confident in caring for pets of any size, personality, and needs. I am currently on summer break from college, so my schedule is entirely flexible from Sunday-Friday. I work a part-time job on Saturdays so that is the only day I am unavailable. I can adhere to strict schedules, and I am very attentive to feeding/walking/medicine routines. I will give your pet lots of attention and as much playtime as they need (even if that means hours of high-energy play). On walks, I am used to dogs that roam somewhat freely (on a leash), but I also grew up walking a dog that I had to keep away from all people and animals, so I am able to accommodate your dog during walks in any way necessary. No matter what, you can rest assured that your pet will be loved and cared for.

We were so lucky to have Stacy take care of our dog Mila while we were away! Mila takes a lot of medication and Stacy made sure she takes everything on time. She went above and beyond to make Mila feel comfortable with a new person in the house and by her second or third visit Mila was already as exited to see Stacy as she is to see us. Stacy answered all my questions and was available to discuss how Mila is doing 24/7

This was the first time we used Christina, but it will most certainly not be the last. She paid such incredible attention to our two cats— and did everything we asked of her and then some. She took excellent care of them, offered to take packages in off the porch, she even offered to bring our garbage cans in! :-) Christina is outstanding and we can’t recommend her highly enough. THANK YOU!

About: I've owned and been around a variety of dog breeds, ages, and temperaments since I 10 years old. My family has owned mini schnauzers (including rescuing senior dogs), large breed hunting dogs, and Shepard breeds. I know the importance of maintaining a schedule, keeping high energy dogs exercised, and reinforcing training techniques for the breeds mentioned above. I also am able to give medications (both oral and injectable), and care for dogs after surgery (I volunteered with my grandad who is a veterinarian at shelters and assisted with minor surgeries and after surgery care). I just finished up college, and applying for another program. My schedule is pretty open allowing me to meet the needs of your pets, keeping them on a similar schedule while you are away As I've mentioned, I know the importance of exercising and maintaining a schedule and will keep to the routine of your pet. I also love cuddling and just spending time with animals.

Rebecca was an amazing sitter for our yorkiepoo puppy, she is very responsive and always sends lots of pictures along with summary/feedback of the drop in. She is very caring, accommodating, flexible and very pleasant to work with, very positive experience. Our puppy Z was so happy and loved her company. Rebecca went above and beyond and helped with lot of things for Z while we were away.

I couldn’t be happier with Brooke and Matt! From day one, they’ve been incredibly reliable, caring, and attentive. It’s clear they truly love animals and treat my dog like their own. Every walk leaves my dog happy, exercised, and well cared for, and I always get great updates that give me total peace of mind. Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Ivyland stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ivyland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Ivyland with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ivyland. On Rover:

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
