About: I’ve had experience with dogs my entire life. Growing up, my family owned two Labrador Retrievers, a Boxer, and a Mastiff, giving me hands on experience with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and care needs. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve provided overnight care for dogs ranging from miniature Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I am passionate about animal safety, comfort, and well being, and I understand the importance of maintaining routines to help pets feel secure while their owners are away. While I do not have formal training, I have experience caring for dogs at all life stages, including senior dogs. I am comfortable administering medications as directed and paying close attention to any changes in behavior, appetite, or health. My goal is always to provide loving, reliable care and give pet owners peace of mind while they’re away. My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to provide dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week. I am available during mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Because I am not currently working another job, I can spend significant time with your pets and accommodate a variety of schedules. For house sitting assignments, I can typically spend several hours with your pets throughout the day and will ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and care. Should my availability change in the future, I will promptly update my Rover calendar so pet owners always have accurate scheduling information. At this time, I do not offer boarding in my home because I have a senior dog of my own. However, I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I am committed to following each pet owner’s instructions and routines as closely as possible. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding routine, exercise requirements, and any special care instructions. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress free environment while their owners are away. Having cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, including senior dogs and dogs requiring medication, I am comfortable handling unexpected situations calmly and responsibly. If an emergency were to arise, I would prioritize the pet’s safety, follow the owner’s emergency instructions, and maintain clear communication throughout the process. “I am so very lucky to have found Diane for daily walks with my dog Hunter! From the moment I met Diane I felt at ease with her. Hunter is a 65lb hound dog so walks can be a little challenging with all the sniffs and pulls but I have a peace of mind knowing Diane is so patient and creative with him to make the walks a success. She is trustworthy, reliable, caring and so kind. The update’s and pictures she sends of Hunter (and even my cat!) during her visits just make my day knowing he’s in great hands. Diane goes above and beyond to show her love and care..from just giving lots of loving pets, feeding Hunter his unfinished breakfast to even sitting with him on the bathroom floor during a thunderstorm..she has exceeded my expectations.
