About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with both energetic dogs and senior pets. I currently care for a 12 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, so I have firsthand experience managing high energy levels, from his puppy years through his senior stage, while also being attentive to the extra care older dogs need. I can balance exercise, routine, and care. In addition, I have two 14 year old cats and experience feeding cats and maintaining clean litter boxes. I also enjoy running and I have experience running with my GSP. Hello! I am currently abroad on an extended vacation and temporarily unable to accept new Rover bookings. I will return on September 30th and will be fully available starting October 1st for dog walking, drop in visits, and house sitting. Because I am between jobs during October, I will have excellent, flexible availability to dedicate to your pets! About: I grew up with large dogs and cats and have a beloved rescue cat now. As a young person, I housesat, babysat, and took care of animals throughout my neighborhood and my parents’ friend group. I am used to taking care of my family’s dogs when they are out of town. All I need is an introduction and instructions. I am a kind, mature, and responsible person -- a homeowner myself -- and would be happy to take extra care with simple tasks (like collecting mail and watering plants) while I’m checking on your animals. Let me know how I can help and provide peace of mind while you are away! I am currently working part-time from home and finishing a graduate program at UVA so I have a flexible schedule. I prefer early morning and evening checkins/walks (in case I do need to go into work). I can be available to stay overnight if needed. In my client's home, I really want to provide as much continuity as possible. That means emotionally supporting and reassuring your animals and maintaining their schedules and habits with food and medication. It also means fun, a chance for your companions to experience a new friendly face in a safe environment. In my home: My cat is a rescue that came out of a very difficult situation. She is wonderful and we're so proud of how far she has come from the terrified animal we first adopted. I do not feel that she would welcome other animals into our home at this time, however.

About: I have been pet sitting for many years, typically with friends and family. I have been responsible for cats (domestic & feral), dogs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, guinea fowls, fish, bearded dragons, geckos and even a millipede! I have also worked with animals in a professional setting for 14 years and I have some veterinary assistant experience. I’m happy to handle extra tasks such as retrieving mail, watering plants and even some light housekeeping. I work full time (4 days per week) but can provide morning and evening care most days. On days off, I can be flexible and as available as your pet requires. I will be as candid as possible about my schedule to ensure choosing me is the best option! In a clients home, I follow all instructions given in regard to their pets care. I ensure the pet is comfortable with me before any handling or petting. I love to send photos and updates to clients letting them see how their pet is doing.

About: I’ve always had pets growing up and I have been watching other people's pets for roughly 6 years. I have watched pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes ranging from big to small dogs, elder cats, and kittens. I have cared for pets with all different needs and will care for your pet no matter how "interesting" their routines are! I am a full-time college student with a pretty open class schedule. I am able to watch your pets easily in the mornings and afternoons/evenings and can occasionally do so during the day on weekdays! I understand that every pet has different needs and am willing to accommodate for whatever they need. In the past, I have had many different dogs with different needs and have learned how to care for all different kinds of dogs. I have also worked with many elder cats that need specific medications or routines and have learned how to care for them in their own specific ways.

About: I’ve had pets most of my life, and at one point we had 3 cats and a dog. I love being able to stay with your pets so you can travel knowing they will be well cared for! I’m currently retired so my schedule is very flexible. I have done quite a bit of house sitting for dogs and cats and manage my life around their needs. I’m happy to care for your pets at your house so that they can stay at home and not have to adjust their routine. I can administer medication, and feed them on the schedule that they are used to.
