“I can’t say enough good things about Nicole! We had to leave our bulldog, Porter, for a night and were a little nervous, but Nicole put all our worries to rest. She was so attentive and kind, making sure Porter was comfortable. We got regular updates, including adorable pictures, which gave us peace of mind. When we returned, Porter was happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious that Nicole is passionate about dogs and truly loves what she does. We’ll definitely be using her services again! Highly recommend!”

About: I've loved dogs since I was a child. I got my first dog walking/sitting job when I was 13. I actually started a business in my neighborhood for it. I had my own slogan and everything. I have trained one of my friends puppies before. I taught her how to sit, lie down, and stay. I got my first dog in 2020 as a foster. We decided to ultimately adopt him. He is leash reactive dog and has a little anxiety. I understand that some dogs just can get close to other ones. I wish I could foster another dog but I am looking forward to volunteering more at the shelter we got him from and spending time with your dogs! I am a college athlete so I have practice and lift 4x a week. These time are flexible though. I am in college and am trying to make some extra money. I hope to make sure your dogs feel as loved as they can because I know I will be making sure my dog feels loved when I do see him. I make sure that your dog is always under my supervision to make sure he/she doesn't get into trouble. I will clean up after the dog and make sure your house stays tidy. Your dog will always feel loved when I am in your home. If they are required to be in a crate when I leave or not in a certain room, I will make sure of that.
“I highly recommend Jordana! She was prompt with every visit, followed all instructions perfectly, communicated with us every day, left no messes behind, and our pups LOVED her immediately. We will definitely hire her again.”

“Danielle was excellent! It was a holiday and she took such good care of our cat. She went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of and that she played with him, etc. We would 100% use Danielle again!”

“Mitch has cared for my dog multiple times and is always amazing. This time we were gone for a whole week. His communication was top notch as always, and he went above and beyond to ensure she was well cared for. I plan to continue booking with him moving forward.”

“Yana was amazing with our Chance! He took right to her and was happy to stay with her when we left, haha! We would definitely book with her again, Chance would love to see his new best friend 😁 Thank you!!!”

About: I've had a dog since I was ten, and today three cats and a dog share my home right alongside me. Living with four animals under one roof means I know their routines, their moods, and their quirks by heart, and I understand exactly how much it matters to trust the right person with something that personal. That same instinct shows up in how I work. I'm a checklist person by nature: feeding times, routines, and quirks followed exactly as given, and you'll get daily photos and videos so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and loved. I'm a college student with mostly online classes, so my schedule bends around your pet instead of the other way around. I'm free for house sitting stays and drop-in visits any day of the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I confirm bookings a few days ahead so you know I'm locked in well before you leave. No shift to clock into, no class to rush home for, just consistent, dependable time for whatever your pet actually needs. I offer house sitting and drop-in visits, which means your pet never has to leave home, no new house, no new animals, nothing unfamiliar on top of you already being away. I stick to their existing feeding, walk, and routine schedule exactly as you've set it, and keep the house locked up and lived-in while you're gone. I come to your pet's world instead of asking your pet to adjust to mine, giving them my full, undivided attention until you're back.
“Charlie can be an extra handful being the tiny grumpy old man that he is but Caroline handled him with ease. He really liked her and she sent fantastic updates and pictures and I would trust her with him anytime.”
About: I have been dog sitting and walking since I was 15 years old. I love dogs of all sizes, but have most experience with dogs 50+ lbs. I even walk my brothers 140 lb Great Dane! I am currently a stay at home mother to my sweet girl, Willow. We are always looking for ways to get out of the house to go on adventures and stay busy. At this time I am not accepting pets for care in our home. With a baby and two big dogs it would prove pretty difficult!
“Abigail is an excellent pet sitter and I strongly recommend her. I felt very comfortable with Abigail coming into my home to care for my cat. She is a kind hearted and caring person who genuinely loves pets!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats and rabbits for years. I also have experience as a pet owner to a cat and grew up with dogs and cats and various rabbits and farm animals my entire life. My goal is to ease your pets anxiety when their person is not there! I will work to make sure your pet has what they need and the love they deserve! I work 3 days a week but am off by 5:00 and am super flexible. I am free on weekends and am happy to stay with the animals when I’m not at work! I also have the flexibility to leave during lunch during my work hours. I am very in tune with your pets needs and will make sure they always have fresh water and food at correct times. I’m happy to send as many updates as you need, and as many pictures! I am very flexible of what is required for you and your animals needs! I love to walk around the neighborhood and get them exercise as well as spending time in their safe environment. I’m happy to play fetch or sit with them and just give cuddles.
About: I have had three dogs growing up and have taken care of dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I am very detail oriented and can help with anything! I am also very active and love long walks, runs, and hikes- so I would love a pet companion to join me! I am currently extremely flexible with my schedule, so feel free to reach out with any questions! I just graduated so have a lot of free time while looking for a full-time work. Safety and security is very important to me and I value your trust and do whatever I can to make sure everybody is comfortable and your home and dogs are happy!
“Riley was fantastic with my puppy, Pearl! Pearl is always excited to see her and Riley goes above and beyond to help with paying and reinforcing good training habits, I highly recommend her!”

“Margaret was great with our dog Ace! She made sure he had plenty of fun/ play time in addition to feeding/regular care for him while we were gone. She was open to schedule changes as needed. Would recommend!”

“Ed was fantastic! Super communicative and easy to chat with! While our kitten was a ghost for him most the time (as expected) he did assist with feeding our fish and brought in a small package! Super great experience with Ed! We will be sure to book him in the future! Maybe then our kitten will interact more with him!”
“Lissette was amazing!!! She took great care of our cats and sent us detailed updates while we were away. I know they received lots of love and attention. I gladly recommend Lissette and would use her again without hesitation!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ivy
We couldn’t be happier with our Maddie! Don’t hesitate in booking her!! She was reliable and dependable from start to finish, visiting three times a day and handling our anxious dog and three rambunctious cats with so much patience and care. She sent us tons of photos so we always knew everyone was happy and safe. During a power outage, she was incredibly thoughtful and thought of everything to keep our pets comfortable and secure. We felt completely at ease knowing our furry family was in her hands. Highly recommend Maddie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive pet sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
