“Nicki did a couple of drop ins with Kona. She was right on time and sent photos. And she did a pre-visit since this was our using her. She's reliable and she took great care of Kona, I will use her again when we need a pup sitter.”

“Korri was awesome! She did drop in visits for our two cats while we were gone and she sent pictures daily. The cats really seemed to warm up to her so that relieving. She was super responsive and really made me feel comfortable from the beginning. I will definitely use her in the future and I highly recommend.”

About: I’ve always been a dog person! I’ve raised multiple puppies and have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages. I would be happy to hang with any and all dogs! I work 9-5 on the weekdays but I would be happy to pet sit, do drop in visits, and walks both before and after! I will make sure to spend all of my free time with your pup! I am open on the weekends as well. :) I have a small mixed breed 1 year old puppy named Biggie! He loves to play and go on walks near our house and play fetch in the dog park beside our house as well! I make sure to give my dogs down time in the day by having some designated crate time. I am very attentive to my dog and other dogs need throughout the day!
“Mariellen was incredible! From the initial meet and greet, until the final visit, she provided great care for my dogs. She was attentive, thorough, and followed every request for their care. I returned to a secure home with no issues except happy dogs!! She provided photos at every visit that were indicative of their obvious comfort in her care. Mariellen will be my first request every time I need help with my pets in the future.”
About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with both energetic dogs and senior pets. I currently care for a 12 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, so I have firsthand experience managing high energy levels, from his puppy years through his senior stage, while also being attentive to the extra care older dogs need. I can balance exercise, routine, and care. In addition, I have two 14 year old cats and experience feeding cats and maintaining clean litter boxes. I also enjoy running and I have experience running with my GSP. I’m currently working at a tax accounting firm in Charlottesville through the end of tax season on April 15, 2026, so my Rover availability is limited until then. Starting April 16, 2026, I’ll be a lot more flexible since my seasonal position ends! I’ll have completely open weekday availability for dog walks, drop-in visits, and checking in on houses or cats. On some weekends I stay in town and can do dog walking or house sitting, but it varies. You’re always welcome to reach out about weekend care but I just can’t promise I’ll be around every time. Have questions or want to check availability? Send me a message and I'd love to chat and see how I can help! A couple of heads-ups: I’ll be at the beach from May 25–29, 2026, and unavailable for Rover services during that time. I also plan to go inactive on Rover after June 10, 2026. I primarily offer care in my clients’ homes and aim to take walks in the Crozet area so I can easily walk or drive to clients’ homes for dog walks, pick-ups, or check-in visits.
“Vanessa was wonderful! She offered to come meet our kitty beforehand which was very helpful. Our cat can be a little challenging to care for at times, but Vanessa had a great attitude about it all. We’d love to hire her again the next time we need a sitter.”

My clients have been able to rely on me to take great care of their loved ones while they are away. I have experience, with walking, feeding, cleaning, and medicating pets. I have also worked with rescues and difficult to deal with dogs and cats. Please do not worry about the size of your dog, I am very comfortable caring for large dogs as well as small. I am very detail oriented so there is no need to worry about whether your pet has received their medication or if they will escape the house or yard. I always triple check to ensure their needs have been met, from feeding to walking to medication – with the addition of playtime and treats.

About: I have been caring for pets since I was 15 years old, with experience in dog walking, cat sitting, and in-home pet care. I am comfortable caring for animals of all sizes, breeds, and species. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and attentive looking after your animals. I currently care for four cats, one dog, one rabbit, and one lizard, which has given me hands-on experience with a wide range of needs and temperaments. I work full time, so my availability is primarily in the mornings and evenings. I am dependable, patient, and committed to making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work full time Tuesday through Saturday, which means I am consistently available for morning visits before work and evening visits after I’m off. Caring for animals is already built into my day, as I manage the needs of my own pets on a structured schedule, including feeding, walks, cleaning, and quality time. I am always off on Sundays and Mondays, which allows for more flexible availability on those days for multiple visits, longer stays, or last-minute bookings. I’m reliable, organized, and used to planning my day around the care and comfort of the animals depending on me. I provide attentive, hands-on care for every pet as if they were my own. For cats and dogs, this includes feeding on schedule, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, going on walks, and making sure they get plenty of playtime and affection. I understand how important consistency is for animals, and I make it a priority to keep them comfortable and relaxed in their normal routine. At home, I care for a variety of pets every day. My cats and dog are fed, cleaned up after, exercised, and given lots of attention. My rabbit gets her daily greens, fresh water, and plenty of gentle cuddles and interaction. I also care for a lizard, which means I’m comfortable with more specialized care, including feeding live insects. I’m not afraid of handling bugs or providing species-specific care, and I’m happy to follow detailed instructions to make sure each pet’s individual needs are met.
“Cory was a lifesaver with our pup. We were in a real scramble as we had to leave town unexpectedly for a family emergency. We had different friends helping out each day until we found Cory. He was really easy to communicate with, took great care of our pup, rolled with her medical needs, and was very understanding when we needed to make changes—all over a holiday weekend. It was a huge relief knowing he was taking care of things at home while we navigated our family issue. We will definitely reach out to him first for any future needs.”

“Karlee is a great sitter! She’s super friendly and responsive to visits. She’s done a great job at doing house visits for my puppy to tire him out and keep him engaged when I’m busy. Would definitely recommend!”

“Leslie is great. She checked in on my dog while we were gone all day and our regular person was unavailable. She came out beforehand to meet us and I knew she would be great. She obviously has a lot of experience and is prompt and professional. She sent photos and reassurances that all was well. I would definitely use her again.”

“PJ was wonderful! She kept me updated with photos throughout the week and had great communication. She has a genuine care for animals and was a natural with my cats. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”
