“Nicole did a great job taking care of our kitties! She was on time with their feeding schedules and we loved the candid photos with every visit so we could see how they were doing!”

“Destiny took wonderful care of Danny and Ella! She was responsible, reliable, attentive, and very caring. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. She communicated well, followed all instructions, and treated them with so much kindness. I would absolutely trust Destiny to care for them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and thoughtful!”

“Jocelyn was perfect for our cat! Our cat isn't super sociable and she understood that and gave her the space she needed. Thorough with communication and flexible to our needs! 5 stars all the way and will be booking again”

“Sammi was wonderful! She took great care of the cats, kept us updated on some health issues, and even helped reprogram one of the RFID feeders from afar when one of the cats lost their tag. We really appreciate her going above and beyond for us and our boys - thank you!!!”

“We booked her last minute and she did an amazing job. She was responsive, caring, and came over to take great care of Mocha, which gave us total peace of mind. We’re so grateful and would absolutely book her again!”

“We are glad we found Mary on Rover. We are new to this service, but found that meet and greet was pretty quick to set up then the actual drop-in visit a few days later. She got to play laser with my Shih Tzu and both my dogs seemed to like her and at ease with her. Will definitely book her in the future.”
About: I grew up with dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs, peacocks. You name it. I’ve been a huge fan of animals since I can remember. I’m super active outside and love taking pups out on hikes or walks. My last dog had to take meds so I’m also extra sensitive to pups that may need more present care. I’ve dog sat and house sat for many years before and just recently decided to give rover a try. I’m also a photographer so pics of your sweet pea will be guaranteed! I’m a photographer so my schedule varies. Sometimes I’m on a shoot or at home editing. I work part time at a restaurant wed-Friday so am unavailable those evenings. I am generous with my love with pets if they want that. If they are shy I will absolutely listen to what they need and let them warm up to me at their own pace. I am clean and respectful of others’ space and strive to make sure your sweet pup gets the activities they deserve.
“Cory did great taking care of our cats while we were away on vacation for a week. He also went above expectations when we had a house alarm go off. After the police came by to make sure it was safe, Cory also dropped in the next day to make sure nothing was lost.”

“PJ was wonderful! She kept me updated with photos throughout the week and had great communication. She has a genuine care for animals and was a natural with my cats. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

About: I’ve been a reliable petsitter for neighbors, friends and family since I was 10 years old. I love all animals and am excited to get to know your furry friends. I work from home two days a week so will have flexibility to care for your pet(s) throughout the day! I have a 4 month old puppy so walking is already part of my schedule! I live in a very walkable and dog friendly area and am excited to explore more with your pup. I am happy to adapt walking routes based on your pet’s needs!

“Leslie is great. She checked in on my dog while we were gone all day and our regular person was unavailable. She came out beforehand to meet us and I knew she would be great. She obviously has a lot of experience and is prompt and professional. She sent photos and reassurances that all was well. I would definitely use her again.”

“Alyssa was wonderful! Extremely accomodating, friendly, and thoughtful. She had great communication and worked with me to make sure all my pets needs were met. I enjoyed working with her - and my cats obviously enjoyed "hosting" her! :)”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
