“This was our second time booking with G’la, and once again, she absolutely knocked it out of the park! She took care of our dog Finn and cat Tuna while we were in Mexico for our wedding, and knowing they were with someone they already loved made all the difference. Our boys adore her! It’s clear they feel safe, spoiled, and totally at home in her care. She kept us updated with sweet photos and thoughtful check-ins, and we came home to two very happy pets (and a clean house!). G’la is trustworthy, kind, and just really gets animals. We wouldn’t leave Finn and Tuna with anyone else. Five stars, every time!”

“Anais has watched our dog three times now, and we couldn’t be happier. She has excellent communication, provides regular updates, and takes incredible care of our senior pup with complex medical needs. We always return to a clean home, which is such a thoughtful touch. Anais is a wonderful dog sitter - we highly recommend!”

“Korin is always great, loves what she does, super reliable, very communicative while I’m away, and Jake loves her. Such a comfort knowing he and the house are in good hands.”

“Jesika and Jyhikeen sat for our 3 rambunctious cats for 10 days, and were wonderful! Great, caring communication, daily photos, and we came home to a clean house and happy cats. We'd absolutely hire them again.”

About: What sets me apart is the way I pay attention — to each animal’s individual needs, body language, routines, and comfort level. I grew up with both cats and dogs, so being around animals has always been natural to me. Over the years, I’ve learned to notice the little things: when a dog needs a break from stimulation, when a cat’s had enough attention, or when something seems off in their behavior. My goal is simple: to be someone you (and your pet) can rely on. I’m currently working full time. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and usually free on weekends. Happy to help spend time with the pets. In a client’s home, I aim to be a responsible and respectful guest. I follow their instructions closely, from feeding routines to walking schedules to medication needs. I also prioritize maintaining the pet’s usual environment and habits to minimize disruption. Whether it’s scooping litter boxes, refilling water bowls, or just keeping them company during the day, I treat each home and pet with care. Above all, I prioritize safety, trust, and empathy—so pets feel secure and pet parents feel confident while they’re away.

“Alyssa is a wonderfully pleasant sitter to work with. She is always willing to help us out and has great availability. She cares for our mini dachshund like it is one of her own dogs. We are so appreciative of her support with our old pup.”

“Natalie was amazing! She took great care of the dogs, including a troublesome puppy, and was super respectful of the house, the schedule, and our time! She took the request last-minute which was great and she was flexible and experienced with handling my dogs’ varying energy levels. She also contacted me right away when there was an issue and handled it like a pro! Would definitely book again & recommend.”

“Ariena took fantastic care of our elderly lab for about a week, she was a wonderful house guest and most importantly made our pup feel like a million bucks! Ariena gave frequent updates and it was clear she really enjoyed spending time with our dog which felt so comforting. At the last minute our dog needed some complicated medication administered, ariena took care of that no problem. Ariena also has a great personality and is funny and kind. Highly recommend!!!”

“Nicole was an amazing dog sitter, and I would use her again in a heartbeat. My dachshund is an older guy, and he is both deaf and struggling with dementia, which means that he requires a lot of care and help. Nicole was incredibly accommodating with regard to his needs - organizing her household to make it safe for him, watching him closely when he was around other dogs, etc. Nicole is also very gracious. For example, I found out upon returning from a two week trip that my dog had been waking her up really early. Rather than complaining about that - which would have been totally justified! - she figured out a way to deal with his early morning needs. Communication was wonderful, I received updates and pictures multiple times a day, and when I picked my pooch up, he seemed happy and well adjusted. Thank you so much Nicole!!”

“Daria did an amazing job taking care of our senior pup Franklin. She followed all his crazy complicated food / supplements / medication schedule to a T. We appreciated Daria's regular pup pic updates. She also kept our home nice and tidy. Thank you, Daria! Franklin looks forward to your visit ;)”

About: One of my first memories is of adopting a stray that we named Chiqule (Gum, in Spanish) because he decided to stick around. Ever since then I’ve picked up many of our four legged friends and made them family dogs. Many years since having my own pet, my love for our furry friends has yet to dwindle and I continue to pet-sit and house-sit just for the opportunity to hang in with a little fur ball. I have experience with a small senior dogs and dogs who have required medication, 3+ walks a day, or an extensive park visit. I’ve house-sat and makes sure to build my schedule around my four-legged, temporary bestie to ensure a stress-free time. I like to establish constant communication and updates with the pet-parent to make sure all is well. I regard play time highly but makes sure to only ruff-house and much as per-parent sees fit. Cuddles are optional but recommended. I my work hours are 8:30-5 but travel form Berkeley to Hayward so I can pop in within that 15 mile radius! My weekends are a lot more flexible. I make sure to follow a requested guideline and/or care checklist from pet-parents. I make sure to scope out the potential yard for any hazards and establish some trust with pets before going out on our first walk. If treats are allowed or provided, I will reward my furry friend when I see best on our initial walks to establish trust and respect. Play-time is important and can also be carried out as the pet-parent sees fit.

“Diana helped us out last minute by watching Ralphie a few days before Christmas. She communicated regularly with us throughout the stay and brought walking outfits for Ralphie. We’re very grateful to her!”

“Eva did a great job on short notice. She took care of my cat and was flexible. My cat seemed to be happy with the experience adjusted to her well. I trusted her in a nice apartment with expensive objects around and I believe you can do the same. I think that she has a bright future ahead of her and I would recommend her for visiting or staying the night with your pet. Id use her services again when Im on a trip.”

They helped me raise a whole litter of 6 kittens from their birth to them being several months old, caring for them and re-homing all of them. Rae W.
“Rae is amazing with my two cats; they both adore her. She is a great communicator (sending photos and updates after visits) and super reliable. My travels are relaxed when Rae watches the cats because I know she takes such good care of them, and they are such big fans of her. (I'm pretty sure one of the cats actually is happy when I go away because she gets to spend time with Rae!) Can't recommend Rae enough for thoughtful, attentive pet care.”
Iveywood pet parents share their Rover experiences
Juliana did an excellent job taking care of our two dogs. They got lots of walks and when she sent pictures, which she did a lot, they were smiling and looking so happy. She was also willing to stay at our house. She's a great communicator. She let us know how things were going during each day. I highly recommend her.

Daria was a great dog/house sitter, even with a last-minute booking and a sick dog. She watched our dog for over a week and even did an unexpected vet visit when she wasn’t feeling well and needed extra tests and adjustment in her medications. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was in good hands!

Aisha is an amazing dog sitter, she’s very responsive, kind and competent when it comes to watching our two dogs. We have one dog who requires a higher level of care and I felt confident leaving him in Aisha’s care for the weekend. I will continue to use Aisha as a reliable dog sitter.

I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Leo took amazing care of my 12-year old dog Jasper while I was away and made sure he was comfortable and well loved the entire time. It was such a relief to receive daily photo updates—some were adorable, and others were downright hilarious! It was clear Jasper was in great hands and enjoying himself. On top of that, he went above and beyond by tidying up around the house. Everything was neat and clean when I got home, and I could tell he had even vacuumed. It was such a thoughtful touch to return to a clean space after traveling. I highly recommend him and would absolutely trust him with my dog again!

Nia came through and saved the day! I couldn't have picked a better sitter for my boys. On top of being super responsive and accepting a relatively last minute booking, she also was very personable and kind. I was so thankful that despite not feeling 100%, she still watched my dogs. I think I can speak for Zeke and Smush in saying we are all happy to only book with Nia moving forward. She’s the best!

Sarah came over in the morning before our early flight to make sure the handoff with our dogs went okay, since we have one particularly anxious dog. She was responsive when needed and left the place tidy at the end of her stay. Thanks Sarah, for allowing us to take a relaxing vacation with the peace of mind that our pets are taken care of!

Ashlyn was absolutely amazing. She was super flexible when my travel plans changed, sent daily updates with pictures, handled both of my high-energy dogs incredibly well, and showed great care and respect in my home. My dogs were challenging and she rose to the occasion and handled every issue with professionalism and graciousness. I was unsure about using Rover but Ashlyn went above and beyond to take care of my dogs and keep me informed while I was gone. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.

Alyssa has helped us twice now with our senior French Bulldog. Our dog needs 2 medications daily and has some special dietary needs and Alyssa has handled it all with great care and professionalism. But the best review is from our sweet pup who was excited to see Alyssa again when she returned. That was truly the vote that mattered. We travel a lot and finding care for our dog is our highest priority. Alyssa has been a wonderful find.

Juliette was a wonderful house pet sitter for our husky and shorthaired cat, and they can be a handful! She was puntual, communicative, attentive to all the asks we had for the sitting, asked relevant details pertaining to the animals and the house, and took care of everything we asked for! She was also great at sharing updates and photos! We came back to a happy set of furbabies that were well cared for by Juliette, reliving us of the stress of leaving them behind whenever we need to travel. Highly recommended!

Sarah was easy to communicate with and very responsive! She took great care of our little chihuahua, ensuring she felt comfortable in the space and with her new dog sitter. Sandy gave Sarah lots of kisses and love when we picked her up - she didn’t want to leave! Sarah sent us lots of photos and updates while she was sitting, and it looked like they had a lot of fun together. Fantastic sitter, I will book with Sarah again!
