“Marilee has taken care of our dog 4 times now. Lizzo comes home extremely happy after her stay there every time. I get a picture and an update every day we are gone. I would recommend Merilee to anyone.”

“Marianne took great care of Dexter. Dexter is a little shy and Marianne took a little extra time with him to make sure he felt comfortable and safe. She sent updates with photos each day. It was a good experience for Dexter. Will definitely book with again!”

“Charmaine did a wonderful job boarding my 2 dogs over a long weekend. She kept us updated with pictures every day and let us know how they were doing. My dogs had a wonderful time staying with her and I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook Charmaine in the future!”

“Klaressa was fantastic to work with. Liberty seemed to enjoy her holidays with her new friends, and came home not lacking in lovins while we were away. We were given regular updates, pictures and video of our girl while away too!”

“Excellent communication! I loved getting updates and photos of my dogs during their stay with her. It made me feel so much better knowing they were in great hands. Definitely will rebook with her.”

“Megan (and her family) were awesome with my dog, Diesel. He is an older chocolate lab with some special needs, yet she was very happy to accommodate him. We did a "trial" night before his actual stay and even though Diesel snipped at her own dog, she was still willing to take him! I've left him at dog kennels or with other people before, but I've never been as satisfied with his care before now. Megan sent me pictures and a little report during the three days I was gone which was very much appreciated. You won't find a better person to care for your dog (or cats if she does them) than Megan!! She definitely knows what she's doing!! Thank you, Megan! Emily”

“Lisa was the best dog sitter EVER! You can genuinely tell how much she cares for her pets and she extends that same care to yours! Our sweet corgi spent a weekend running around their beautiful yard, hanging out, and being apart of the family. He was pretty confused when he got home and he didn't have 4 dog friends to play with haha. Highly recommend, we will definitely be going back!!”

“Tearra was wonderful with my cat! I’d use her again and again. Her updates made me miss my baby a little less for sure. Tearra was great about sending pics, videos and communication. Highly recommend!”

“Linda is so sweet and caring. You can tell she is a true animal lover. She is genuine, I feel good about leaving my dog with her. I appreciate that she's not distracted by other responsibilities and can give my dog all the attention and care he needs and deserves.”

“Jacquelynn & Graden were so wonderful! They are super responsive, caring and supportive. They shared daily updates and pics/videos with me which made me feel reassured. I was so happy to see Ellie enjoying her play time outside and it was funny to see a picture of her in the middle of a big yawn in the morning. Will definitely rebook in the future! Thank you so much J&G!”

“Tiasha and Obi were wonderful! Our dog was supposed to stay with them for a full week while we were away, but unfortunately we all got sick and he only stayed one day. Even so, Tiasha was incredibly kind, understanding, and flexible with our situation. She offered help in any way she could and truly went above and beyond. Mootz and Obi became fast friends, and we will absolutely be booking with them again!”

“I just can’t say enough wonderful things about Debora & Randy! They were truly a godsend for us. They gave our puppy so much love and attention while we were gone for Christmas break, and were so patient with her as well. When unforeseen medical problems happened on our trip, they were so accommodating and understanding as we readjusted her pickup date. We got communication and photos from them daily, which was so comforting for our kids who were missing their pup. Pearl received such excellent care and attention, we were sure she wouldn’t want to come home with us 😂 You will not find a kinder, more caring, more compassionate sitter on this app. They were everything we needed, and so much more. Thank you, Debora & Randy, for everything!💕”

“My puppy was comfortable, happy, and showered with love. He usually cries when we pick him up, but he was fine today. He had not felt lonely or bored at all while visiting.”

About: I love all creatures and if I could take them all in I would. But alas I am married to a man who loves animals but doesn't want our house overrun so I must rely on your loved animals to fill my heart. I have a background in health care so I can handle wound care and medication. I go on walks every morning and am used to going outdoors daily with my black lab, Rocky, fetching and playing. I love reasons to stay active and meet my health needs. I have a fenced backyard for outdoor play and a dog friendly house for indoor dogs. I am home all day everyday so I can give them attention and keep watch over them; cuddling them and playing fetch with them in the backyard or taking them to the park or river if that is what they like to do. I always make sure they have everything they need. And when we are out for walks I make sure they are on leash and in safe areas.
“Samantha has watched our dogs twice now and has walked them a few times. We always check her first if we go anywhere because the dogs love her, and she loves them back. My little dog is a bit quirky, but with love and positivity, she will do whatever you want her to do. She thrives on positive attention. Samantha knows how to deal with her and always has positive things to say about her, which makes me feel good about leaving her there. I can’t recommend this sitter enough. Don’t hesitate! Book her!”

About: Animals have been the heartbeat of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a ranch, I learned early on that caring for animals is a 24/7 commitment that requires patience, hard work, and a sharp eye for detail. From chickens and bunnies to cats and dogs—and even more unique pets like ferrets and birds—I was raised with the understanding that every animal has its own personality and specific needs. My parents gave me my first dog when I was 1, she was best friend till she passed away when I was 17 years old. I learned at a very young age how to care for dogs and all the responsibilities that go along with them. She was by my side, even when she passed. I have owned several more through my adult life and currently have 2 senior pups that have been with us since Itty bitty babies. As an animal mom myself, I know exactly how hard it is to head out on vacation. Leaving your fur babies behind and worrying about the level of care they are receiving can be incredibly stressful. Because I understand that bond, I promise that any pet in my care will receive the exact same level of love, attention, and high-standard care that I expect for my own. My goal is to give you total peace of mind; I’m here to make sure your pet’s routine is followed perfectly and their day is a little brighter while you’re away. My husband owns his own business and I am currently taking classes online at home on my own time to get my bachelors degree in accounting so rover fits my schedule perfectly and lets me do something I love. How perfect is that! Care in Your Home (Drop-ins & House Sitting) "When I care for your pets in your home, my priority is maintaining their sense of security and routine. I understand that a disruption in their environment can be stressful, so I focus on the details that matter: I stick strictly to your feeding, exercise, and medication schedules. Whether it’s a high-energy game of fetch or quiet snuggles for a senior pet, I’m there to provide genuine companionship, not just a quick visit. Care in My Home (Boarding & Daycare) "I treat every pet in my home like a member of my own family. My space is a 'pawsitive' environment where your fur baby can feel relaxed and loved while you’re away. Pets are never left unattended and have constant access to fresh water, cozy resting spots, a fenced in back yard, and plenty of affection. Can also crate if needed. Because I’m an 'animal mom,' I know that some pets need extra reassurance. I provide a calm, organized space where they can settle in quickly. Drawing on my years of experience growing up on a ranch, I am highly observant of animal behavior and health. I keep a close eye on their appetite, energy levels, and overall well being. You’ll receive regular photos and updates so you can see exactly how much fun your pet is having, letting you enjoy your time away worry-free."

Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
