About: Animals have been the heartbeat of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a ranch, I learned early on that caring for animals is a 24/7 commitment that requires patience, hard work, and a sharp eye for detail. From chickens and bunnies to cats and dogs—and even more unique pets like ferrets and birds—I was raised with the understanding that every animal has its own personality and specific needs. My parents gave me my first dog when I was 1, she was best friend till she passed away when I was 17 years old. I learned at a very young age how to care for dogs and all the responsibilities that go along with them. She was by my side, even when she passed. I have owned several more through my adult life and currently have 2 senior pups that have been with us since Itty bitty babies. About: I love all creatures and if I could take them all in I would. But alas I am married to a man who loves animals but doesn't want our house overrun so I must rely on your loved animals to fill my heart. I have a background in health care so I can handle wound care and medication. I go on walks every morning and am used to going outdoors daily with my black lab, Rocky, fetching and playing. I love reasons to stay active and meet my health needs. I have a fenced backyard for outdoor play and a dog friendly house for indoor dogs. I am home all day everyday so I can give them attention and keep watch over them; cuddling them and playing fetch with them in the backyard or taking them to the park or river if that is what they like to do. I always make sure they have everything they need. And when we are out for walks I make sure they are on leash and in safe areas.
