“Summer C. did a fantastic job watching our Malamute, Ellie, while we were away for the weekend. She was reliable, caring, and made us feel completely comfortable knowing Ellie was in good hands. We really appreciated the attention and care she gave Ellie, and we would absolutely recommend Summer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!”

“This was Barley's 2nd visit and he stayed for a full week! Pictures & updates daily showed him having a grand time. Marianne, her family and her pups ensured Barley was well loved and taken care of. 5 STARS, THUMBS UP. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND”

“Samantha was great with Buddy. Addressed all concerns I had for him, sent pictures and updates almost daily. Most dogs were his size which was a first for him, and he had so much fun playing with them that I will probably be booking some play dates for him. He has always been ok with fireworks, but was anxious this time and stayed at her side throughout the evening. She made a bed next to her at nights so he was near her. Far exceeded my expectations!”

“Megan was so awesome! She provided updates and photos the whole time she was watching my doggo. My dog came home happy and tired from playing! Definitely a safe & happy place for your doggo to stay!”

“Charmaine did a wonderful job boarding my 2 dogs over a long weekend. She kept us updated with pictures every day and let us know how they were doing. My dogs had a wonderful time staying with her and I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook Charmaine in the future!”

“What a great stay for our 7 1/2 month old puppy! We were visiting our new granddaughter and needed a place for her to stay - when we picked her up she was happy and tired! A great combo - will be back the next time we are in Idaho for sure!”

“June and her family were amazing with our dog Maya! She received constant love and attention, tons of playtime, and was treated as part of the family! June was incredibly responsive and super flexible with us and our changing timeline. We will definitely use June and her family again!”

“Copper had a great time while we were out of town. It was obvious that he was well taken care of and that he was shown lots of love and attention. I would highly recommend Klaressa!”

“Oh my goodness! We have used Rover several times and have always had good experiences, but Shannon went above and beyond anything we’ve had before. She was so kind and conscientious. We could easily tell that she truly cared for our two giant dogs (each about 150lbs) she brushed them, walked them, gave them their meds and gave them treats and even new toys to bring home. We got daily pictures and reports about how they were doing. She even told us how they slept and the silly things they did. We didn’t worry about anything! We will definitely use her again and again.”

“Tiasha and Obi were wonderful! Our dog was supposed to stay with them for a full week while we were away, but unfortunately we all got sick and he only stayed one day. Even so, Tiasha was incredibly kind, understanding, and flexible with our situation. She offered help in any way she could and truly went above and beyond. Mootz and Obi became fast friends, and we will absolutely be booking with them again!”

“Tearra was wonderful with my cat! I’d use her again and again. Her updates made me miss my baby a little less for sure. Tearra was great about sending pics, videos and communication. Highly recommend!”

“Debbie and Randy are absolutely fantastic! They took such great care of Oakley. Awesome communication, and lots of fun pictures during her stay. I will definitely use them again.”

“Megan stepped in to care for our two dogs with very little notice when we had an emergency. She took wonderful care of them and responded in a very timely manner when we contacted her during the week. She sent some cute pictures too!!”

“Linda was awesome. She is a kind and wonderful person who cares for our dog as if he were her own. That was the first time we had left him, and he got along great with her dog, Bodie. I would recommend her if you need someone to care for your dog as well as you would.”

“My puppy was comfortable, happy, and showered with love. He usually cries when we pick him up, but he was fine today. He had not felt lonely or bored at all while visiting.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Idaho Falls
Love! Love! Love!!!!!!! Samantha! She is so incredibly kind and gentle with our girls. In fact, our rather timid mama does VERY well with Sam, which gives us such peace of mind and settles our hearts while we’re away. We absolutely love the relaxed atmosphere in her home, and Sam herself has such a calm, easygoing demeanor. You honestly can’t help but feel “chill” around her—and our girls clearly feel it, too! Knowing they are comfortable, loved, and well cared for means everything to us. We would wholeheartedly recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a wonderful dog sitter, whether it’s for a day, a week, or even longer. We’re so thankful we found her! ❤️🐾

Alyssa was a dream! We accidentally booked for the wrong weekend and she was so understanding and kind. She took great care of our old boy, sending regular updates and pictures/videos. He looked happy and relaxed in every update. We will definitely reach out to her in the future!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
