“Ashley is so sweet and so welcoming. She has helped us with our sweet rescue dog 2x now when we really needed it. I was super skeptical the first time we needed to board our dog but Ashley took incredible care of him and eased our concerns. We will absolutely tell everyone, and book again!! Thank you Ashley and your family for giving our dog loves when we couldn't!”

“Our dogs had such a wonderful time at Robin's! She sent several photos and videos and each time we could just see how happy the dogs were and how much fun they were having. I can tell she really loves dogs and I had no worries at all leaving them with her. I would absolutely use her again! Highly recommend!!”

“Summer C. did a fantastic job watching our Malamute, Ellie, while we were away for the weekend. She was reliable, caring, and made us feel completely comfortable knowing Ellie was in good hands. We really appreciated the attention and care she gave Ellie, and we would absolutely recommend Summer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter!”

“Marilee went above and beyond for our dog, Georgia. This was my first time using Rover and we needed a sitter who would board Georgia for 1 night. Georgia is 7 and can be a bit of a handful. Marilee made sure Georgia got along with her dogs before I left which was great! She took Georgia on walks and sent me photos every few hours. Marilee has a big beautiful home with a fenced backyard. I would 100% book Marilee again if we need a sitter again.”
“Charmaine was wonderful with our 2 dogs! She gave us updates everyday and sent pictures about how they were doing. The dogs also got along so well with her dog and they were very happy and content while we were away. We will absolutely be booking again with her in the future! :)”

“Samantha did a great job with Mack. We know that he is a bit anxious when we leave him and she was open to a meet and greet before-hand and did great handling him when we left. She checked in with us to let us know that he had calmed down. She took great care over a holiday weekend. Samantha was great!”

“Had a great experience having Rebekah & Ryan dogsit for the weekend. They were available with less than a weeks notice, took great care of her, and sent sweet pictures of my dog and theirs on walks. 10/10”

“Jaralee was so amazing, I felt completely at ease leaving our dog with her! She spoiled her and sent pictures letting us know how our pup was doing which I appreciated so much. She was also really flexible with our time coming home, as we were on an emergency family trip and weren't exactly sure of our return. We will definitely use Jaralee again if need be!!”

“Linda was awesome. She is a kind and wonderful person who cares for our dog as if he were her own. That was the first time we had left him, and he got along great with her dog, Bodie. I would recommend her if you need someone to care for your dog as well as you would.”

“Jacquelynn is a perfect fit for our labahoula (energy, energy, ENERGY!!)!!! She sent a video while we were gone overnight and our little girl came back happy, healthy, and tired out! We laughed about how much she 'smelled like a dog' after the pickup because she'd been given a weekend chalk full of play time. It's the next day and she's been tuckered out!”

“Tiasha and Obi were wonderful! Our dog was supposed to stay with them for a full week while we were away, but unfortunately we all got sick and he only stayed one day. Even so, Tiasha was incredibly kind, understanding, and flexible with our situation. She offered help in any way she could and truly went above and beyond. Mootz and Obi became fast friends, and we will absolutely be booking with them again!”

“Lisa and her husband are life savers. My elderly dog requires a lot of medication and considerations and they did a superb job with it. Lisa sent lots of pictures and updates. They have a great environment for your pet!”

“Tearra was wonderful with my cat! I’d use her again and again. Her updates made me miss my baby a little less for sure. Tearra was great about sending pics, videos and communication. Highly recommend!”

“Megan and her family were the absolute BEST to our dog, Nova. Not only did they take her on a 5k on thanksgiving, which our dog LOVED, nova got to go on long walks everyday and play lots outside, and they even made Nova a christmas ornament with her paw print!!!! Megan was so amazing and texted me paragraphs morning and night about how our dog was doing and what she did that day or morning, along with so many photos! They took such good care of nova, probably better care than we even do sometimes haha, and i was surprised she still wanted to come home with us and not stay with megan and her family. If i could give 10 stars I would, I would recommend Megan to everyone!!! We have never had such an amazing experience with rover before, and will always take Nova to Megan now when we need sitting.”

“We had not used Eliza's services before but the meet & greet with her dog (& chickens) went well so we booked with her. Eliza's update gave us peace of mind that Macy was settling in nicely & when we picked her up, she was excited to see us but not too crazy like she couldn't wait to leave. She clearly was not stressed in Eliza's home despite it being a bit of a long stay. Would definitely recommend Eliza.”

“Brody loved playing with Gabrielle and her family! She sent pictures and a video of him playing while we were away! It means so much to know that your pet is also happy while you are on vacation. We would love to rebook with her in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Firth
Shannon was amazing. My 2 labs stayed 4 days with her. She took excellent care of them. My dogs are highly bred for hunting and have a ton of energy. She kept them entertained and let them play all the time. One of my dogs has a FI collar that tracks steps and his steps were up more than 50% of normal. I would recommend Shannon to anyone. Great job!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
