“Alesza was brilliant, great communication and always very punctual (even for a last minute walk request). Our energetic Cockapoo had a great time walking with Alesza and always came back tired and our dog was sad to say goodbye. I would definitely recommend Alesza, she's great with pets and extremely easy to arrange things with, we'll be using her again for sure!”

About: I would rescue animals such as dogs and cats and foster them to new homes, as well as growing up surrounded by pets. I take a lot of pride in keeping an eye on animals, going as far as buying and using GPS trackers for my own animals. I work part time currently until summer hours kick in, meaning I have plenty of time during weekdays and evenings to visit furry friends, bring them for walks, take them out for toilet runs and play with them. In my own house we have a walled yard with a gate that’s always closed shut for the dogs, my cats have tracking GPS collars so we are able to monitor their locations 24/7 but have a curfew of 6 pm at the latest. At others houses I ensure any possible exits are closed off and will stay with the animal at all times.
About: Kelly and Mics doggy hotel. I set up this account as I lost my best friend, a fluffy choc lab a few years ago, and miss her company dearly. We pet sit a lot for friends and family and figured why not do this since the joy of having fluffy friends around has been comforting. I live with my wonderful partner Mic so your dogs would be getting double the love and double the cuddles here in our home. I work remotely and have the opportunity to be around pets daily for care and multiple walks. It also will be lovely for me to have some company during the Day. I have a big back garden for dogs to play, and it is completely fenced so very secure. I have a lovely greenway at the front of my home for quick walks. There is also a gorgeous nature walk beside my home, which dogs can enjoy sniff around and have a long walk. I enjoy walks in the woods and beaches and living in wicklow these are easily accessible by car or foot. I own a 3 bedroom home with plenty of spaces for dogs to chill. They'd be sleeping in the sitting room, spare bedrooms or kitchen. Whichever they feel most comfortable, I find the dogs I've cared for prefer the sitting room to sleep on the couch. Any questions please feel free to send me a message. We both have quite flexible work hours and have been pet sitting for family and friends for many years. Our lifestyle fits into pet care easily as we have the availability to be at home for the Day. I care for pets in my home like I have cared for all my own pets over the years. Walking, feeding, playing and being their companion.

About: I have had pets of every kind since I was a kid. I currently have 4 dogs of my own. Occasionally I pet sit for friends and family. I worked for the DSPCA for a year and a half with the dogs, so I am very capable of walking dogs of all different sizes. I completed a dog training course with the DSPCA and can teach dogs the basics. My 4 dogs are all rescues the biggest being a mastiff mix and the smallest being a cocker spaniel cross. I love dogs and can work with dogs of all sizes, ages and behaviours. I have no issue working with reactive or restrictive breeds. Currently my schedule is very open and I am available to walk dogs the majority of the week. I am taking a break from full time work. Whenever I walk dogs for friends or family, or even when I just walk my own dogs I ensure they have a good harness that’s comfortable and put on properly, a good lead and treats.

About: I’ve had pets all my life, and that has taught me to treat them as my best friends. I've worked as a pet sitter in Brazil and I’ve been working with, in Dublin for 2 years. I speak English fluently and I've got all the skills to make sure pet owners have a smooth and easy-going experience. I think the most important thing for a good pet sitter is to love animals and understand their individual needs. They need our care and attention, and should be treated as our best friends. Over the last 2 years working as a pet sitter in Dublin, most of the animals I looked after were cats. I get on very well with them and know how to respect each one’s temperament and personality; I believe this is important when it comes to cats. I'm pretty flexible, so we can figure out the best timetable and payment methods that work for you. I’m sure I can be your next permanent pet sitter, making your life as a tutor easier. Roberta I’m pretty flexible, so I prefer to talk about time and everything in advance, to make sure the tutors have a smooth, easygoing experience. I always heard the tutors instructions carefully and adapt all to the needs of each pet. I reckon that each pet has very specific needs, so it’s more important to me to heard the tutor so I can adapt myself to provide an easy and trustworthy experience.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Walking easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Walking.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wicklow. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Wicklow after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
