About: I would rescue animals such as dogs and cats and foster them to new homes, as well as growing up surrounded by pets. I take a lot of pride in keeping an eye on animals, going as far as buying and using GPS trackers for my own animals. I work part time currently until summer hours kick in, meaning I have plenty of time during weekdays and evenings to visit furry friends, bring them for walks, take them out for toilet runs and play with them. In my own house we have a walled yard with a gate that’s always closed shut for the dogs, my cats have tracking GPS collars so we are able to monitor their locations 24/7 but have a curfew of 6 pm at the latest. At others houses I ensure any possible exits are closed off and will stay with the animal at all times.
About: Walked and taken care of pets since young, worked in vets, farms, yards and volunteered in shelters. Happy to discuss price and hours that suit both parties! Flexible on weekdays and weekends, can discuss a schedule that works for both of us! I have a part time work from home job and pet sit animals part time! I have a 11 year old golden retriever who is absolutely spoiled and is the owner of my house at this point ! Since he is older I try to avoid bringing other animals into my house, but again happy to discuss!
About: I’ve have been taking care of dogs professionally for a few years now. After my childhood pet dog Becky passed away a few years ago, I found I began to miss getting to hang out and take care of a furry friend. I now get to love and care for animals again with Rover which has brought so much light to my life. I work as an actor so my schedule is flexible. I will have all the time to spend with your pup or kitty during their stay. My services are dog walks, boarding and daycare from my home. I hope you will take me into consideration to look after your furry friend!

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats and caring for them all my life, both at home and with family members. I am a friendly, caring and affectionate person who loves making animals feel happy, safe and loved. I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of attention, patience and cuddles. I even find myself speaking German to cute animals because I just can’t help it! I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I study from home, so my schedule is flexible for during the week and weekends. I have plenty of time to give your pets attention, company, walks and care. Your pet’s safety and happiness come first. I provide a calm, loving environment, follow your instructions carefully and treat your pet’s like family.
About: I grew up with pets in the house, so caring for animals has always felt natural to me. For the past couple of years I’ve regularly sat for a close friend’s dog, handling everything from feeding and walks to just keeping them company and comfortable while their owner is away. I’m attentive, patient, and treat every pet like my own. I work full-time but have plenty of flexibility around pet care. Weekends are completely free for boarding or longer visits, and on weekdays I’m available in the evenings before or after work. I also work from home one day a week, which gives me extra time during the day to check in, walk, and play with your pet. I prefer to care for pets in their own home, as it keeps them relaxed and in their familiar routine with no travel or new environment to adjust to. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, and any house rules, and I treat the home with the same care and respect as I would my own. Regular updates and photos are sent throughout so you can relax knowing your pet is safe and settled.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had many years of hands-on experience looking after dogs, including managing daily routines, exercise, play, socialisation and general care. I’ve also been closely involved in a dog’s professional training, which gave me valuable practical knowledge about canine behaviour, communication, boundaries, basic obedience and positive reinforcement. This experience taught me how important patience, consistency and calm communication are when caring for dogs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and larger breeds, and I enjoy keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. I also understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, so I always adapt my approach to their individual temperament, energy level and routine. I know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog with someone else. I treat every dog in my care with patience, attention and affection, while following their usual routine and their owner’s instructions as closely as possible. My goal is simple: for every dog to feel safe, happy and comfortable while they’re in my care. I study English Monday to Friday from 3:45pm to 5pm, so I’m available before and after my classes. I’m also very flexible on weekends and can adapt to different pet care schedules depending on the service needed. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment for pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of care, exercise and companionship.
About: I’ve had pets all my life, and that has taught me to treat them as my best friends. I've worked as a pet sitter in Brazil and I’ve been working with, in Dublin for 2 years. I speak English fluently and I've got all the skills to make sure pet owners have a smooth and easy-going experience. I think the most important thing for a good pet sitter is to love animals and understand their individual needs. They need our care and attention, and should be treated as our best friends. Over the last 2 years working as a pet sitter in Dublin, most of the animals I looked after were cats. I get on very well with them and know how to respect each one’s temperament and personality; I believe this is important when it comes to cats. I'm pretty flexible, so we can figure out the best timetable and payment methods that work for you. I’m sure I can be your next permanent pet sitter, making your life as a tutor easier. Roberta I’m pretty flexible, so I prefer to talk about time and everything in advance, to make sure the tutors have a smooth, easygoing experience. I always heard the tutors instructions carefully and adapt all to the needs of each pet. I reckon that each pet has very specific needs, so it’s more important to me to heard the tutor so I can adapt myself to provide an easy and trustworthy experience.
About: I’m very empathetic and can pick up on dogs emotions as I’ve had a dog since I was 10 years old. I’m reliable and committed to understanding pet care. I notice different body language and routines and especially health needs. I’m very patient and attentive and I love animals and would love to do it as a job At the moment I do two days in college which are Thursday 9:30-1:30 and Friday 9:30-11:30am. I work doing events and it varies with hours a lot but I would like to do this job and fit it into my daily routine as it’s something more suited to my personality. I’ve been caring for my dog, a 14 year old parson russel terrier since I was 10 years old. Over the years ive handled everything from daily walks and feeding to understanding their changing needs as they’ve gotten older. I make sure he gets plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and love while keeping up with health concerns and vet visits. Caring for my dog Teddy who is now senior has taught me how to adapt to different routines and patience. I spend all of my time with my dog when I’m home and treat him like my bestfriend
About: Dog lover from Cork living in Dublin. I would have my own dog if I could, but I rent. :) so minding dogs fulfils that doggy shaped hole. I’ve always had dogs growing up and throughout my life, big and small! Your dog will have a fabulous time with me. I work fully remotely and do my own hours, so I take lots of breaks during the day and go on lots of walks. I absolutely love having a little companion for my walks. I love dogs and cats equally. I have a lovely big garden that any dog would love. Your pet can chill with me while I work from home. Sometimes I even work from the kitchen so they can run around outside in the garden while I keep a close eye on them. My house is perfect for pets :)

The average cost for House Sitting in Wicklow on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
House sitters can stay overnight in your home and care for your pets according to the routine you agree on before the booking.
Depending on your pets’ needs, this may include feeding, walks, play, companionship, medication, providing toilet or litter-box care, and keeping their usual schedule. Some sitters may also agree to light household tasks, such as collecting mail, watering plants, or putting bins out, but these are not automatically included.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss the sitter’s overnight schedule, how long your pets can comfortably be left alone, arrival and departure times, update preferences, and all tasks you would like to arrange. Confirm the agreed responsibilities through the Rover app before booking.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wicklow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
