About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and my mum is a vet specialising in animal behaviour, so I learned a lot from her. I fully raised my own dog for 8 years, with my mum's guidance, and took him everywhere with me, including trips around Poland and various classes. I've also helped friends train their dogs and teach them tricks. Right now I live with two dogs and help with their care, training, play and exercise. I'm also very comfortable with cats of all ages, including seniors and cats on medication. I work under 30 hours per week, so I have plenty of time for pets. I'm free on weekdays between 9:30 and 12:00 and again after 16:00, and I'm also available on weekends. I'm happy to be flexible and adjust visits to your pet's routine. I always make sure your pet feels safe and relaxed: I watch for signs of stress, discomfort or pain and adjust to their needs. I stick to the owner's routine for feeding, walks and medication, keep the home tidy, and send regular photo updates. If anything seems wrong, I contact the owner and, if needed, the vet right away (I don't own a car, but I have a driving licence, 5 years of driving experience and drive daily for work, so I can safely transport pets).

About: I'm Irish, 34 + a lover of animals. It's this love for animals which had me spend a lot of time on farms in recent years has had me pet sit a lot. I also like to have the quiet of a place to myself and to be in new environments. So, I have become very experienced with pet sitting + have a strong track record with 39 out of 40 5-star reviews on Trusted House Sitters. I take seriously the responsibility of looking after people's animals, as well as their home. My healthy + steady lifestyle is one that is well suited to pet sitting, with the animals experiencing the benefits of that. The daily routines (waking early, dog walks etc) then fit in well for me. It has been interesting to meet many different characters + breeds along the way + it definitely has a heart opening effect. I am self-employed + study a bit online, fitting everything in with the requirements of the pet sits I do. ( I am also available for paid garden work/yard work/odd jobs/admin, so feel free to enquire). Because I like to live in a clean and tidy space, you can expect your home to be returned to you like that. I don't drink alcohol or smoke so that wouldn't be in the picture. Ready to do a good job. Currently I am available daily and have a flexible schedule to work with, meaning that there is nothing that would clash with the pet sitting. I maintain the routine that the dogs and/or cats are familiar with, while providing a calm environment for the pets in the comfort of their own home.

About: I’m a post-primary teacher, so I have plenty of time to play with your little pets! I’m usually available for pet sitting stays all weekend and during the week from 4 PM onwards. I’m also available for visits early in the mornings before work and in the afternoons after 4 PM. If necessary, I can visit during my lunch break as well. Usually, weekend visits are a bit later in the day, but I’m generally able to do two visits per day if needed Important: I can not edit the extra payment for an additional cat on the system. I do not charge extra for more cats. Please contact me before booking, I will manually adjust the rate for you. What my visits include Each visit usually lasts around 20 minutes, although I’m happy to stay a bit longer if needed. During that time, I’ll make sure your cat has fresh food and clean water, and I’ll clean the litter box thoroughly, including any little accidents like sick or messes. Depending on your cat’s personality, we might enjoy some playtime, or I’ll simply sit nearby and keep them company if they prefer a quieter atmosphere. While you’re away, I’ll send regular updates with photos and videos, so you can see how they’re doing and feel reassured. If your cat needs any basic medication, I’m happy to help with that too, just let me know in advance so I can be properly prepared. Unfortunately, I’m not able to host cats in my home, but I’m available for home visits. For most cats, staying in their own environment is the best option. They feel safer, more relaxed, and far less stressed when surrounded by familiar sights and smells. I always organise a free meet and greet a few days before the booking starts, so I can meet you and your cat, get to know their routine, and see the home setup. This helps me provide care that feels as close as possible to their normal daily life. I'm Garda vetted through my work as a teacher, so your cat and home are in safe hands.

I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and currently have my own dog, so I understand how important it is to feel that your pet is safe, happy and genuinely cared for. I’m reliable, patient and caring, and I’ll always treat your dog as if they were my own. I’m looking to spend more of my free time doing something I genuinely love, while giving owners peace of mind that their dog is in safe and loving hands. 🐾❤️ I’d be delighted to meet you and your dog beforehand so we can make sure we’re a good fit! I work shifts, so my availability can vary from week to week\. However, I have plenty of availability on my days off and I’m also happy to fit in dog walks around my working shifts when I can\. I’m flexible and will always do my best to work around your schedule\. I love getting out for walks anyway, so combining that with spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy\! 🐶🐾 I have a loving and comfortable home where pets can feel safe, relaxed and part of the family. About: I’ve owned and looked after animals all my life. I’ve been independently pet sitting and walking dogs since I was thirteen. I’ve owned and cared for dogs (all sizes), cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, fish and horses. Completed work experience at a vets and can do basic animal first aid. Worked with animals post-op, injured, on medication and with disabilities. Worked as a stable hand for a few summers. Heartbroken that I can’t have my own pets where I’m renting, so let me look after yours! I work weekends, so my main availability for day visits will be during weekdays. This will change slightly over time but I will keep my calendar updated. Overnight visits can be arranged at any time. I can’t take any animals into my own home, but I am willing to travel to wherever you are! I am happy to work with your schedule and needs, happy to call regularly, send pictures, etc. I will always be contactable when I am with your animals and will do everything I can to make sure they have the best time!

About: I have always lived with dogs, cats and other animals ever since I was little! I have /have had plenty of my own animals and am very aware of what that responsibility entails. I have both lived on and worked on farms with a large variety of animals. I have gone to agriculture school so I have learned a lot about caring for animals on top of my prior experience. I have been a sitter for family and friends on multiple occasions and my family has a bunch of dogs so taking care of them is just my lifestyle. I love animals and especially dogs! For years of experience I am putting 8 years because then I was 16 and was legally allowed to own my own animals. I am currently without a job due to relocation, so I have a lot of free time to help you out with whatever your needs may be! I can do both short and long visits/walks. As I am not able to take dogs in to where I live (due to there being 2 dogs here from before) I am more than happy to travel to wherever you live! I can do drop in visits, walks, full day visit (while you are away/at work etc), really whatever you need!

About: Hi. My name is Eleanor and I am from Australia and now live in Sutton, Dublin. I have my own car and can cater to surrounding areas. I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals including dogs, cats, birds and horses and have volunteered for years at the Riding for Disabled and Animal Welfare League. My services cater to all domestic pets including horses. Please note that I own a friendly cat who has grown up with dogs and birds and is comfortable with new pets. I offer day sitting and overnight sitting and am happy to provide these services at my house or yours, whatever makes your pet and yourself the most comfortable. Being located in Sutton, I can also travel approx 30mins to the surrounding areas. I'm comfortable administering medications and if your pet has extra medical or dietary needs, I will follow your instructions. Throughout the day/night, I will send photos and videos so you can see how your furry family members are going with me. My priority is to give 24/7 supervision and cuddles for your pets! Equine care is my speciality having owned horses from a young age. I understand first-hand how difficult it can be to organise horse care when you're planning a holiday or need to be away, which is why offering this service is very important to me. About me! - 28yrs old - No kids - My hobbies: horse riding, cake decorating, hiking - I own one cat who is friendly with dogs (he moved with me from Australia) - Live near a park/coastal walk Hope to hear from you. Eleanor I currently do not work and have all the time in the world. I plan to work part time in the future so I can still offer my pet sitting services. I live in a one-bedroom apartment with park access and have a cat of my own. Whether caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll follow their routine, give them lots of attention and ensure they're safe. I will send you photos throughout their time with me, so you can see how they are getting on!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have several years of hands-on experience caring for them. Since I was 16, I’ve worked as a dog walker and sitter in my city, caring for dogs of different breeds and personalities. I enjoy keeping dogs active through play, basic training, and interactive games like ball play, always adapting to each dog’s needs I currently work, but my schedule changes from week to week, which gives me flexibility to adapt pet care around my availability. Depending on the week, I’m available either in the mornings or afternoons, making it easy to plan walks, drop-in visits, or in-home care. I’m happy to coordinate in advance and adjust to find the best times that work for both the pet and the owner. I always do my best to be reliable, organized, and flexible with scheduling When caring for pets in their home, I make sure to respect the owner’s space, routines, and rules. I follow feeding schedules, keep the home tidy, and ensure pets feel safe and comfortable at all times. I pay close attention to each pet’s needs and behavior, providing companionship, play, and exercise while maintaining a calm and secure environment. About: I have always loved animals and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I am patient, attentive and truly enjoy spending quality time with pets, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owners are away. What sets me apart is the genuine connection I build with each pet. I pay close attention to their personality, energy level and specific needs. I am comfortable with puppies who need extra patience and guidance, including basic training reinforcement and structured walks. I am also attentive with senior pets, understanding they may need a slower pace, medication reminders, or simply extra gentleness and care. I treat every pet as if they were my own — with responsibility, affection and respect. My goal is not just to “watch” your pet, but to make sure they feel happy, secure and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. I am available every morning from 6:00am to 8:00am, which is ideal for early walks, feeding or morning check-ins. I am also available from 5:00pm until the end of the day, making evenings flexible for walks, visits or overnight care. On weekends, I have full availability and can dedicate more time for longer stays, multiple visits, or extended care if needed. I am organized and responsible with my schedule, so I make sure each pet receives consistent attention, care and punctual service. When caring for pets in my home or in a pet owner’s home, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I make sure the environment is calm, clean and secure, with no access to unsafe areas or harmful objects. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, routines, walks, playtime and any special needs. For dogs, I provide structured walks, supervised play and lots of positive interaction to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I pay close attention to their behavior and energy levels to ensure they feel happy and safe. For cats, I respect their space and unique personalities. I maintain a quiet and stress-free environment, keep litter trays very clean, and monitor their eating habits and overall behavior closely. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I treat the space with full respect and responsibility. I maintain cleanliness, follow all household guidelines and provide regular updates for peace of mind. My goal is to create a safe, loving and trustworthy experience for both pets and their owners.

About: I’ve built strong experience caring for dogs in my home over the past year, gaining great experience with different breeds, routines and temperaments. I’m reliable, attentive, and focused on creating a safe, comfortable space for every dog I take into my care. I live in an apartment complex with a secure courtyard for the dogs to use the bathroom and plenty of parks nearby for walking. I work mostly from home and have a flexible schedule. Pet care blends well with my daily routine because I’m around throughout the day to take them out keep them company and maintain their usual feeding and walking times. I only take one dog at a time so your dog will have a high level of personalised attention. I am only taking small dogs at the moment. Dogs staying in my home are treated like part of the family. I provide a cosy space, regular walks, playtime and plenty of company. I stick closely to each dog’s normal routine so they settle in quickly and feel secure.

About: Originally from Mexico, I recently moved to Dublin and I’m excited to offer loving and reliable care for your furry family members. As a proud French Bulldog owner and lifelong dog lover, I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone trustworthy and caring. As a student in Dublin, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to each dog. About: Hi my name is Karla Morillo and I am psychology student living in Dublin. I am half Irish and half Spanish but have lived in Dublin all my life. I consider myself an organised and hard working person.

I have had a love for animals since I was a child constantly asking my parents for pets! I have a beautiful Cavachon called Coco and a lovely Lop-eared rabbit called Ollie who are like my children.

I am happy to administer medication as my dog Coco has Addison's disease and I am used to dealing with medications.

I have many years of experience taking care of animals such as cats, dogs and rabbits. I love going on long walks to the beach and to the park.

Your beloved pet will be in great hands and receive plenty of cuddles and love! I will provide daily pictures and videos of your pet.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you have any questions or queries please don't hesitate to reach out 😁 As I am nearly finished college my classes have become very limited. I have about 2 days a week of college which gives me more time to work and take care of pets! I am very caution when taking care of pets and treat them as my own. I know how much care pets need and will make sure they get the care they deserve.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Malahide choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 77% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 77% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 84% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
