“Chaima took wonderful care of my cat Kali while we were away, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was incredibly caring and attentive, which gave me real peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful cat sitter.”

About: I’m originally from the Czech Republic, where I’ve been around animals from a very young age. I grew up with dogs and other animals and gained plenty of hands-on experience through my family’s kennel, dog shows, school placements and everyday care. I also completed a secondary school focused on veterinary care, including practical experience at a veterinary clinic. Here in Dublin, I’m continuing my studies in Animal Health Care. I’m happy to care for both dogs and cats of different ages and personalities, including puppies and senior pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. I’m always happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you’re away. 🐾 I’m a full-time student, so my schedule can vary depending on my classes. I’m happy to arrange pet care around my timetable and adjust my free time when needed. We can always agree on the dates and times that work best for you and your pet, and I’ll always let you know in advance what my availability looks like at the time. I only provide pet care in the pet owner’s home or through walks and drop-in visits, as I’m not currently able to host pets in my own home. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable and cared for according to their usual routine. I’m happy to follow any instructions you provide and will keep you updated while you’re away.

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was 15 when I adopted my first dog. Since then, I've looked after my own pets and the pets of my family and friends when they're traveling. Here in Dublin I clean a house with two cats, and they are lovely. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets and provide what they need. I'm available weekly mornings and evenings, I'm available some afternoons, on weekends I can in the early morning. I always follow the guidelines given by the pet owners, as each animal has its own particular needs. I am a patient and loving pet sitter committed to providing the highest level of care, comfort, and safety.

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and my mum is a vet specialising in animal behaviour, so I learned a lot from her. I fully raised my own dog for 8 years, with my mum's guidance, and took him everywhere with me, including trips around Poland and various classes. I've also helped friends train their dogs and teach them tricks. Right now I live with two dogs and help with their care, training, play and exercise. I'm also very comfortable with cats of all ages, including seniors and cats on medication. I work under 30 hours per week, so I have plenty of time for pets. I'm free on weekdays between 9:30 and 12:00 and again after 16:00, and I'm also available on weekends. I'm happy to be flexible and adjust visits to your pet's routine. I always make sure your pet feels safe and relaxed: I watch for signs of stress, discomfort or pain and adjust to their needs. I stick to the owner's routine for feeding, walks and medication, keep the home tidy, and send regular photo updates. If anything seems wrong, I contact the owner and, if needed, the vet right away (I don't own a car, but I have a driving licence, 5 years of driving experience and drive daily for work, so I can safely transport pets).

“Josie is wonderful with our two very enthusiastic Australian shepherds 😊 she took great care of them and would happily recommend her for any dogsitting needs! Our dogs are so happy when we come home after her visits.”

About: Helo! My name is Maria Carolina, I'm from Portugal and I love cats! In my house I have just 6 cats... I know how to take care of them, how to admnistrate medication and I love play with them. I'm avaliable on weekends and mornings until 10h30. I'm working full-time everyday as Health and Safety in an office, but I'm available from 5pm to 7pm. Weekends is better for me, usually I'm available all day. If you live in Swords, It's easy for me, but I can go to Malahide, Portmarnock, Donabate, and surrounding areas. Unfortunately I can't bring pets to my home, so for me it's better take care of them in your home. I can be visit your pet more than 3 days a week, just contact me in advance.
“Sinead was great and sent very reassuring updates and went the extra mile leaving out some additional food for my cat on the last day which was just as well as my flight was delayed. Will happily book her again.”

About: I've fostered dogs for 4+ years, from tiny puppies still learning the ropes to senior dogs needing a slower pace. I'm just as comfortable with a bouncy, high-energy dog on a hike as I am nursing a sick or recovering dog back to health. I've also volunteered at Blue Cross, giving me both hands-on and formal experience, and I'm confident with a wide range of breeds, including larger ones like German Shepherds. Whatever your dog needs, extra playtime, quiet company, or a bit of medical care, I'll treat them like my own. I'm currently flexible and available any day, so pet care fits easily into my routine. Whether it's a quick daily visit, a full day of walks and playtime, or overnight boarding, I can work around your schedule. Because my availability isn't tied to fixed work hours, I can offer consistency, which I know matters when you're leaving your pet with someone new. When I'm caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routine as closely as possible. I stick to the feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any house rules they've set out, since consistency matters most for keeping pets calm and comfortable. I keep the environment secure by double checking doors, gates, and windows, and I confine a pet if that's part of their normal routine or if they're the type who needs a settling in period with a new person. I always ask for detailed instructions beforehand so nothing is left to guesswork, and I stay in close contact with the owner throughout the visit or stay to update them on how their pet is doing.

About: I've taken care of my 4 dogs, 3 of which are large dogs, and my cat on multiple occasions by myself. I handle animals very well, have dog-sat for friends and family before as well and I really enjoy looking after them! I currently take care of a horse two days a week, and I am unemployed so I have lots of time to look after everyone's animals as well as my own! Sunday mornings are available after 12pm. I am available to walk dogs or cats, or do drop-in visits! My environment can be busy with other dogs often being walked on and off leash but I have plenty of experience with my own St. Bernard and Golden Retriever, both of which I trained to remain calm around other dogs.

“Deepa took amazing care of Rosie, while I was away. She was incredibly attentive to every detail from Rosie’s feeding routine and playtime habits to making sure her favourite spots were kept cozy. It was clear that Deepa genuinely loves cat and takes her role seriously. She kept me updated with photos and updates”

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Malahide
Lauren was absolutely amazing with our three cats. They have quite a tricky routine, with each cat having different needs, but she picked everything up very quickly despite it being her first time looking after them. She gave each cat the individual attention they needed, asked sensible questions whenever she wanted to clarify something, and kept everything beautifully clean and tidy. Even when Liffey decided to be bold and use the shower as a toilet on a few occasions, Lauren took it completely in her stride! Most importantly, the cats really warmed to her. Milo even wanted Lauren to sit with him while he ate, which says a lot about how safe and comfortable he felt with her. We came home to three happy, well-cared-for cats and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lauren.

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Malahide on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.
Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Malahide pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitter’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity verification, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or smart doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
