About: I've always been a huge animal lover. While I don't have enough experience as a pet carer, I currently work as an au pair, which has taught me to be responsible, attentive and patient. I truly enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks and playing, so I would love to keep your dog company on walks or look after them at home. I'm based in Malahide and available on weekends. You can count on me to treat your pet with all the love and care they deserve. I work as an au pair during the week, so I have a clear and consistent schedule. On weekdays, I'm available from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On weekends, I have full availability all day Saturday and Sunday. This allows me to offer regular and reliable care for your pet, whether it's walks, feeding or keeping them company. I always make sure the environment is safe and comfortable for the pet. I check that doors and windows are secure, remove any hazards and keep a close eye on them at all times. I follow the owner's instructions carefully regarding food, routines and any special needs. Having my own cat has taught me to be attentive to their behaviour and to create a calm, stress-free space where they feel at ease.

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover who believes every pet deserves kindness, attention and respect. My experience with dogs comes from a very special companion of my own. I had a dog for 16 years and cared for him from puppyhood right through to his senior years. This experience taught me the importance of patience, dedication and understanding a dog’s needs at every stage of life.
I’ve also had rabbits and birds, and I’ve always loved the special bond we can build with animals.
I recently moved to Ireland and I’m excited to meet new pet owners and their four-legged companions, turning my love for animals into a new professional experience.
I offer dog walking, home visits and overnight pet sitting in your home when you need to be away. For now, I’m available to care for small and medium-sized dogs.
I have a flexible schedule throughout the week, including weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Service times and duration can be arranged around your needs and your pet’s routine.
During walks, I aim to respect each dog’s pace and personality. During home visits and overnight stays, I can provide companionship, follow your dog’s usual routine and take care of feeding and fresh water according to your instructions.
Although I’m just starting my professional journey in pet care, I take this responsibility seriously. My goal is to give every owner peace of mind and make sure their beloved companion receives individual attention, kindness and care.
I’d love to meet you and your best friend! 🐶❤️ I am currently fully available to look after pets. I recently arrived in Ireland (Dublin) and am in the process of adapting to the country. When caring for a pet at the owner's home, I follow all the instructions they provide, adhering to their schedules for feeding, medication, and walks.

About: I'm Irish, 34 + a lover of animals. It's this love for animals which had me spend a lot of time on farms in recent years has had me pet sit a lot. I also like to have the quiet of a place to myself and to be in new environments. So, I have become very experienced with pet sitting + have a strong track record with 39 out of 40 5-star reviews on Trusted House Sitters. I take seriously the responsibility of looking after people's animals, as well as their home. My healthy + steady lifestyle is one that is well suited to pet sitting, with the animals experiencing the benefits of that. The daily routines (waking early, dog walks etc) then fit in well for me. It has been interesting to meet many different characters + breeds along the way + it definitely has a heart opening effect. I am self-employed + study a bit online, fitting everything in with the requirements of the pet sits I do. ( I am also available for paid garden work/yard work/odd jobs/admin, so feel free to enquire). Because I like to live in a clean and tidy space, you can expect your home to be returned to you like that. I don't drink alcohol or smoke so that wouldn't be in the picture. Ready to do a good job. Currently I am available daily and have a flexible schedule to work with, meaning that there is nothing that would clash with the pet sitting. I maintain the routine that the dogs and/or cats are familiar with, while providing a calm environment for the pets in the comfort of their own home.

About: Hey there! My name is Julianne I am 18years old and just done with the leaving cert. I have had a dog since I was 8 years old, my dog is a miniature sausage dog, his name is bruno. Though he’s getting older the energy is not gone from him yet so I am well used to all the mischief pets can get up to. I have always gotten on great with all animals and am well able to take care of their needs. I am currently off on summer holidays so generally available at all hours. Would love to get a consistent routine going with check ins, walking etc I am very caring of pets. Of course I would prefer to be given some instruction as I know everyone is different with their own pet. When it comes to my own dog, Bruno, he doesn’t require a large amount of walking and is generally fed twice a day due to his small size.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and currently have my own dog, so I understand how important it is to feel that your pet is safe, happy and genuinely cared for. I’m flexible and will always do my best to work around your schedule\. I love getting out for walks anyway, so combining that with spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy\! 🐶🐾 I have a loving and comfortable home where pets can feel safe, relaxed and part of the family. About: I've taken care of my 4 dogs, 3 of which are large dogs, and my cat on multiple occasions by myself. I handle animals very well, have dog-sat for friends and family before as well and I really enjoy looking after them! I currently take care of a horse two days a week, and I am unemployed so I have lots of time to look after everyone's animals as well as my own! Sunday mornings are available after 12pm. I am available to walk dogs or cats, or do drop-in visits! My environment can be busy with other dogs often being walked on and off leash but I have plenty of experience with my own St. Bernard and Golden Retriever, both of which I trained to remain calm around other dogs.

About: Hi, I’m Isabella! I’m Brazilian, currently living in Ireland, and deeply passionate about animals. Although I’m new to professional dog walking, I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, including horses, dogs, and other pets. From a young age, I learned the importance of responsibility, patience, and daily care. Feeding, grooming, cleaning, and understanding animal behavior were part of my routine, which helped me develop confidence with both small and large animals.
I understand that each pet has their own personality, energy, and needs. I always respect their space and routine, ensuring calm, safe, and loving care. I’m attentive, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors with animals.
I’m currently starting my English studies and fully committed to improving quickly. I communicate with kindness and dedication, and I take every pet owner’s trust seriously. Your dog will be treated with love, safety, and respect, just like family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I intentionally organize my schedule around it. I attend English classes in the morning from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. After that, I am available and flexible, which allows me to dedicate quality time and full attention to the pets in my care. I am available for afternoon and evening walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. I also have weekend availability. Since pet care is a priority for me, I plan my commitments carefully to ensure I am never rushed and can provide calm, attentive, and responsible care. I value consistency and reliability, and I make sure each pet receives the time, exercise, affection, and supervision they need. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, so it is not just something I fit into my routine — it is something I intentionally make space for. I prefer to start by going to the pet's house. We can walk around and run in some park! If your pet needs it, I can carry it!

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and absolutely love spending time with them. Growing up with dogs taught me a lot about how to care for them, understand their needs, and give them plenty of love and attention. Over the years, I’ve fostered multiple dogs, each with their own personalities and quirks. It’s been such a rewarding experience helping them settle in, feel safe, and find their forever homes. I’ve also done plenty of pet sitting for friends, family, and others- whether it’s just for a weekend or longer stays. I’m comfortable with all kinds of dogs, from high-energy puppies to older dogs who just want a cuddle and a quiet walk. I always do my best to make sure they feel relaxed, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care is an important and well-integrated part of my daily and weekly routine. I plan my day around feeding times, walks, play sessions, and any special care needs. Whether I’m providing in-home visits, dog walking, or overnight stays, I maintain a consistent schedule that aligns with the pet’s usual routine to minimize stress and ensure they feel comfortable and secure. I make sure to communicate clearly with pet owners to understand their pet's habits and preferences, and I build those into my daily plans. I treat every pet as if they were my own, whether I’m caring for them in my home or theirs. I prioritise safety by following all instructions from pet owners, maintaining a clean and pet-friendly environment, and ensuring that pets are always secure- whether that means using leashes, keeping gates closed, or avoiding hazards during walks. I take time to earn each pet’s trust through calm behavior, positive reinforcement, and lots of affection. I also stay observant for any signs of stress or illness and will immediately inform the owner if something seems off. My goal is always to create a safe, nurturing, and familiar environment for the pet.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Walking in Malahide on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per walk (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Walking easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Walking.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Malahide. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Malahide after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.

Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
