About: I have hands-on experience working with dogs through my work as a Veterinary Care Assistant, kennel work, and dog training. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different ages, breeds, sizes and personalities, and understand the importance of keeping them safe, happy and comfortable. Working in a veterinary environment has given me experience with animal care, handling, medication routines and recognising when a dog may be unwell or stressed. My kennel experience has also taught me how to manage daily routines, exercise, feeding and cleaning while giving each dog individual attention. Alongside this, I have experience in dog training and handling, including basic obedience, lead work, recall and general manners. I’m passionate about animals and treat every dog in my care as an individual, providing a safe, loving and fun environment while keeping owners updated and reassured. I am currently working full time so I can be available some morning or evenings depending on my shifts I can do dog walking in the evenings or a check in for toilet break if needed. I am available weekends for a home visits throughout the day and dog walking. During home visits I can come over and spend some time with your dog and let them out to the toilet or bring them in a quick walk throughout the day, I will check their water and feed if necessary. I will make sure everything is ok and that they are comfortable. If you have a cat I will check their water and there litter tray if it needs refreshed and spend a couple of minutes playing or even just a snuggle and rub if that’s what they like.

About: I have been working for Pet sitting Ireland over three years and I’m a devoted animal lover. I have great responsibility to look after different kind of animals. I love dogs and enjoy the time walking and playing together. Different dogs have different personalities and I will try to understand them and give them the care and love they need! I have been doing dog sitting and dog walking a lot and I love to run with them and interact with them. I believe dogs need lots of outdoor time and they need to spend energy in the nature. They will be much more happier and calmer when they get enough exercise and attention. I have been working for Petsitters Ireland over a year and has been very responsible and accountable. I can walk different kinds of dogs, big or small. I know how to build up connections with different dogs in my own way and the secret is love.

About: I'm a lifelong animal lover and the proud owner of two cats who keep my days full of character and cuddles. For several years, I worked as a pet sitter in China through Sparelash (a popular pet care and sitting platform), where I earned many positive reviews from happy pet parents. Whether it's a bouncy dog who needs a good walk or a shy cat who just wants quiet company, I get them. I'm patient, caring, and genuinely tuned in to each animal's moods. Above all, I know how much trust you place in a sitter, and I treat that trust — and your pet — with the care it deserves. I offer walking, playtime, feeding, medication, and home sitting, treating every pet like my own. I'm currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week to give pets the attention they deserve. I'm available for boarding at the owner's home most days, so your pet can stay relaxed in their own familiar surroundings while you're away. I'm happy to take dogs out for walks anytime after 10am, with playtime, feeding, and cuddles fitting naturally around the rest of my day. Whether it's a quick check-in or a full day of company, I make sure pets never feel lonely. Whether I'm caring for pets in my own home or at the owner's, safety and comfort always come first. I keep a close eye on pets at all times, make sure the space is secure before letting dogs off-lead, and stick to the routines and feeding instructions owners share with me. I'm careful to keep doors and gates shut, store anything harmful out of reach, and watch for any signs a pet might be unwell or anxious. When boarding at an owner's home, I respect their space and keep things clean and tidy, leaving everything as I found it. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease, knowing their companion is in safe, attentive hands.

Whether it's going for walks, feeding, playing, giving plenty of cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I always make sure each pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I am a responsible, trustworthy, and caring person who understands that every animal has its own personality and routine. I will always follow your instructions carefully to ensure your pet receives the best possible care. About: I have grown up around animals my whole life! I was raised on a farm, so from a very young age I was surrounded by all kinds of animals and naturally became a big animal lover. I have had experience with a variety of animals over the years and have always enjoyed caring for them. I also have my own miniature Dachshund, Ollie, who is a huge part of my life 🐾 I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone you trust, and I would treat your dog with the same care, attention and love that I give my own. I work from home two days a week, so on those days I have more flexibility to care for your pets, take them for walks or pop in for home visits around Maynooth/Leixlip/Celbridge/Kilcock area 🐾 On the days I am in the office, I am available for walks and home visits around Dublin 4, particularly around Nutley Lane and Elm Park. I can usually fit in visits or walks during my lunch break (12–2pm), as well as in the mornings before 8am and evenings after 4pm. I am also available for walks, drop-in visits and pet care around Maynooth/Leixlip/Celbridge/Kilcock at weekends. I am happy to work around your pet’s routine where possible and can discuss specific times when booking The safety and wellbeing of your pet is always my priority. Before a walk, I make sure I understand your dog’s routine, personality and any specific needs or instructions. I will always use the lead and walking equipment you provide and keep your dog safely under control, choosing routes that are suitable for them. For home visits, I will treat your home with the same care and respect I would expect in my own. I will make sure doors, gates and windows are securely closed and that your pet has everything they need before I leave. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I will keep you updated during visits and walks and let you know if I notice anything unusual. About: I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs and really enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I have experience looking after a variety of dogs, including Poodles, Akitas and different small breeds. I’m also a proud dog owner myself, with experience caring for both English and French Bulldogs, so I understand how important it is to be patient, attentive and aware of each dog’s individual personality and needs. I always adapt to the dog in front of me. If they are energetic and love to play, I’m happy to keep them active with walks, games and plenty of attention. I’m an active and athletic person, so I really enjoy longer walks and playtime. On the other hand, if your dog prefers a calm environment, cuddles or simply relaxing and having some company, I’m just as happy to follow their pace. For me, dogs are not just pets they are part of the family. I give them plenty of affection, attention and care, while always respecting their routine and what makes them feel most comfortable. My goal is for your dog to feel happy, relaxed and cared for while they are with me, and for you to feel confident knowing they are in safe and loving hands. I currently work part-time on a rotating schedule, around 20 hours per week, which gives me plenty of free time and several days off throughout the week. My availability can vary depending on my work shifts, but I’m generally very flexible and have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, playtime, companionship and attentive pet care. I’m always happy to coordinate in advance to find a schedule that works well for you and your dog. I always make safety, comfort and trust my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, routines, house rules and any special needs their dog may have. When caring for a pet in their own home, I respect both the dog’s routine and the owner’s space. I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep the environment clean and safe, and never leave a dog unattended in situations where they could be at risk. I also take time to understand each dog’s personality and body language. Some dogs enjoy lots of play, attention and affection, while others prefer a calmer approach and more personal space. I always adapt to what makes them feel most comfortable. I treat every dog with patience, kindness and genuine care, and I’m also happy to keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident that their pet is safe, relaxed and well cared for.

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I have owned dogs of all sizes from gaurd dogs to indoor dogs. Anytime my friends or neighbours have gone on holiday, they have always asked me to look after their fury family . I have the utmost love and respect for all pets as they give us unconditional love, therefore, they deserve the same. I have experience with many different breeds and personalities. I work 3 days a week at home, therefore I have plemty time to look after your fury family. I am very flexible where it comes to looking after your pets from your home or mine. I am easy going therefore beds and couches are never off limits, but if you have house rules they will be followed to the letter as I know how important it is to keep your pets in the same routine to not change their habits.

Ana has been walking my boys for a few weeks now and it's obvious that they adore her. She takes such good care of them - it shows in how she treats them, gives them time and just dotrs on them. It's so reassuring to know they're in good hands when I have to work onsite. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Walking easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Walking.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Lucan. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Lucan after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.

Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
