About: I have been working for Pet sitting Ireland over three years and I’m a devoted animal lover. I have great responsibility to look after different kind of animals. I love dogs and enjoy the time walking and playing together. Different dogs have different personalities and I will try to understand them and give them the care and love they need! I have been doing dog sitting and dog walking a lot and I love to run with them and interact with them. I believe dogs need lots of outdoor time and they need to spend energy in the nature. They will be much more happier and calmer when they get enough exercise and attention. I have been working for Petsitters Ireland over a year and has been very responsible and accountable. I can walk different kinds of dogs, big or small. I know how to build up connections with different dogs in my own way and the secret is love.
About: About Me I am an experienced dog owner with a genuine love for animals and a calm, patient approach to caring for dogs. I have experience with large rescue dogs, having cared for two rescue dogs weighing around 60kg each. This has given me hands-on experience with strong dogs, different personalities, and dogs who may need extra patience, reassurance and time to feel comfortable. I understand that every dog is different. Some dogs need a long adventure, some need a calm walk, and some need someone who understands that trust takes time. My priority is always making sure your dog feels safe, comfortable and cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time to caring for dogs and providing reliable walks, visits and boarding when needed. I am mainly available on weekends and can also accommodate weekday availability depending on the service required. I understand how important consistency and routine are for dogs, so I always aim to provide care that fits naturally around their normal habits and needs. I have experience caring for large rescue dogs and understand the importance of patience, calm handling and building trust. I have owned two rescue dogs weighing around 60kg each, so I am comfortable with larger dogs and dogs who may need extra reassurance in new situations. I have a safe environment and always prioritise the dog's comfort, routine and wellbeing. I am happy to follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medication or any specific needs their dog may have.

About: Hi there <3 I am a 21 year old very extroverted animal lover looking to help out. While I'm fully flexible for the summer, I'm heading to my 5th year of animation college in September and will have a decent amount of spare time to visit and care for your fur babies. I have a 4 and a half year old cat (Shirley, the cuddly tabby in my profile) myself that lives with my parents, myself and two other young adults. She is a rescue from CatsAid and is a bit jumpy at times but has gotten extremely comfortable with everyone in the family. I have experience in walking/caring for dogs from the size of Golden-Lab mixes to smaller types like the Bichon Frise. I have experience with following training guidelines given to me by owners and have furthered their pets' discipline in doing so. I have earned the trust of nervous cats I meet during my wanders, as well as extremely anxious cats I babysit. While preparing for my first job with Minette (see ginger cat on my profile), I was told by the owners I may not even see her due to her nerves. From day one she got onto my lap and continues to do so while making the most intense squeaky purrs I've ever heard. If there are any concerns at all, please do let me know. I am a very patient person and regardless if your pet needs room or as much attention as possible, I can and will give them what they are comfortable with. Currently looking for a part-time job so I am fully flexible. However many visits you need me for I'll be there. When I start college again late September, I can visit very early in the morning (7am) and any time after my classes end (12pm-3pm). I am vigilant in safety checks, making sure all doors are locked and absolutely never letting sales people or online following know you are away. As far as they are concerned, you will be back soon.

“Really happy with Sabihah walking my dog Kobi, she's punctal and always provides updates during and at the end of walk. Communication is great too. Would happily recommend Sabihah for anyone looking for a dog walker!”

About: I am patient and calm and i had loved being around animals since i was a little kid. I’ll be so happy to make company to your pet and give them love and attention. I had a senior cat and a senior dog so I have experience with giving pills and special medication with kindness and affection. I am currently studying on the morning during the week, so I have the rest of the day and all of the weekends free to stay with your pet! Unfortunately, the real estate agency does not allow pets in my house, but I will be happy to take care of your pet in your house providing attention, affection, food, bath if necessary, walks, playing games and everything he needs with a lot of love!
About: I'm a lifelong animal lover and the proud owner of two cats who keep my days full of character and cuddles. For several years, I worked as a pet sitter in China through Sparelash (a popular pet care and sitting platform), where I earned many positive reviews from happy pet parents. Whether it's a bouncy dog who needs a good walk or a shy cat who just wants quiet company, I get them. I'm patient, caring, and genuinely tuned in to each animal's moods. Above all, I know how much trust you place in a sitter, and I treat that trust — and your pet — with the care it deserves. I offer walking, playtime, feeding, medication, and home sitting, treating every pet like my own. I'm currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week to give pets the attention they deserve. I'm available for boarding at the owner's home most days, so your pet can stay relaxed in their own familiar surroundings while you're away. I'm happy to take dogs out for walks anytime after 10am, with playtime, feeding, and cuddles fitting naturally around the rest of my day. Whether it's a quick check-in or a full day of company, I make sure pets never feel lonely. Whether I'm caring for pets in my own home or at the owner's, safety and comfort always come first. I keep a close eye on pets at all times, make sure the space is secure before letting dogs off-lead, and stick to the routines and feeding instructions owners share with me. I'm careful to keep doors and gates shut, store anything harmful out of reach, and watch for any signs a pet might be unwell or anxious. When boarding at an owner's home, I respect their space and keep things clean and tidy, leaving everything as I found it. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely at ease, knowing their companion is in safe, attentive hands.

About: I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs and really enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I have experience looking after a variety of dogs, including Poodles, Akitas and different small breeds. I’m also a proud dog owner myself, with experience caring for both English and French Bulldogs, so I understand how important it is to be patient, attentive and aware of each dog’s individual personality and needs. I always adapt to the dog in front of me. If they are energetic and love to play, I’m happy to keep them active with walks, games and plenty of attention. I’m an active and athletic person, so I really enjoy longer walks and playtime. On the other hand, if your dog prefers a calm environment, cuddles or simply relaxing and having some company, I’m just as happy to follow their pace. For me, dogs are not just pets they are part of the family. I give them plenty of affection, attention and care, while always respecting their routine and what makes them feel most comfortable. My goal is for your dog to feel happy, relaxed and cared for while they are with me, and for you to feel confident knowing they are in safe and loving hands. I currently work part-time on a rotating schedule, around 20 hours per week, which gives me plenty of free time and several days off throughout the week. My availability can vary depending on my work shifts, but I’m generally very flexible and have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, playtime, companionship and attentive pet care. I’m always happy to coordinate in advance to find a schedule that works well for you and your dog. I always make safety, comfort and trust my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, routines, house rules and any special needs their dog may have. When caring for a pet in their own home, I respect both the dog’s routine and the owner’s space. I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep the environment clean and safe, and never leave a dog unattended in situations where they could be at risk. I also take time to understand each dog’s personality and body language. Some dogs enjoy lots of play, attention and affection, while others prefer a calmer approach and more personal space. I always adapt to what makes them feel most comfortable. I treat every dog with patience, kindness and genuine care, and I’m also happy to keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident that their pet is safe, relaxed and well cared for.
About: I’ve adored dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up around them at home. Since childhood, neighbours and friends have trusted me to look after their dogs. This includes walking, feeding, and playing with them while they’re away. I really enjoy walking, sometimes covering up to 15km a day, so I’m always happy to give dogs the exercise they need. I pay close attention to each dog’s energy and routine, whether they’re a boisterous puppy needing a good run or an older dog who just wants calm company, and make sure they’re happy and comfortable the whole time I’m caring for them. I currently work freelance in film and TV, so my schedule varies but I’m often available on weekdays as well as weekends, especially with advance notice. This flexibility means I can offer generous, unrushed visits, including longer walks, since I really enjoy walking and often cover up to 15km a day. I don’t currently own any pets of my own, so your pet would have my full attention with no other animals to compete for it. I live close to several parks, which is ideal for regular walks and giving dogs plenty of space to run and explore safely.

About: I have grown up around animals my whole life! I was raised on a farm, so from a very young age I was surrounded by all kinds of animals and naturally became a big animal lover. I have had experience with a variety of animals over the years and have always enjoyed caring for them. I also have my own miniature Dachshund, Ollie, who is a huge part of my life 🐾 I know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone you trust, and I would treat your dog with the same care, attention and love that I give my own. I work from home two days a week, so on those days I have more flexibility to care for your pets, take them for walks or pop in for home visits around Maynooth/Leixlip/Celbridge/Kilcock area 🐾 On the days I am in the office, I am available for walks and home visits around Dublin 4, particularly around Nutley Lane and Elm Park. I can usually fit in visits or walks during my lunch break (12–2pm), as well as in the mornings before 8am and evenings after 4pm. I am also available for walks, drop-in visits and pet care around Maynooth/Leixlip/Celbridge/Kilcock at weekends. I am happy to work around your pet’s routine where possible and can discuss specific times when booking The safety and wellbeing of your pet is always my priority. Before a walk, I make sure I understand your dog’s routine, personality and any specific needs or instructions. I will always use the lead and walking equipment you provide and keep your dog safely under control, choosing routes that are suitable for them. For home visits, I will treat your home with the same care and respect I would expect in my own. I will make sure doors, gates and windows are securely closed and that your pet has everything they need before I leave. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I will keep you updated during visits and walks and let you know if I notice anything unusual. My aim is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you are away🐾

About: I've fostered dogs for 4+ years, from tiny puppies still learning the ropes to senior dogs needing a slower pace. I'm just as comfortable with a bouncy, high-energy dog on a hike as I am nursing a sick or recovering dog back to health. I've also volunteered at Blue Cross, giving me both hands-on and formal experience, and I'm confident with a wide range of breeds, including larger ones like German Shepherds. Whatever your dog needs, extra playtime, quiet company, or a bit of medical care, I'll treat them like my own. I'm currently flexible and available any day, so pet care fits easily into my routine. Whether it's a quick daily visit, a full day of walks and playtime, or overnight boarding, I can work around your schedule. Because my availability isn't tied to fixed work hours, I can offer consistency, which I know matters when you're leaving your pet with someone new. When I'm caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routine as closely as possible. I stick to the feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any house rules they've set out, since consistency matters most for keeping pets calm and comfortable. I keep the environment secure by double checking doors, gates, and windows, and I confine a pet if that's part of their normal routine or if they're the type who needs a settling in period with a new person. I always ask for detailed instructions beforehand so nothing is left to guesswork, and I stay in close contact with the owner throughout the visit or stay to update them on how their pet is doing.

About: I'm a part-time writer who's originally from the USA but has lived in Ireland for close to four decades. I grew up in a house full of dogs, from collies to Saint Bernards, and learned to handle various dogs as a paperboy. Today I live in Drumcondra in central Dublin with partner Dawn and 16-year-old son Harry. Our home is missing our beloved Fonzie, our rescue dog of 17 years, who passed away in 2024. I've been thinking about taking up dog walking/boarding ever since, in part because I'm an avid walker (and no longer an avid writer!). On my near-daily walks I'm always talking to fellow hikers with dogs, and it just seems a missed opportunity not to have a dog with me, too. So I'm open to tailoring walks that really suit your dog, even daylong adventures with a picnic somewhere nice in the middle. If your dog would be staying overnight, or longer, it'll be even better, because my partner Dawn is the true dog fanatic in the family. It'll be nonstop cuddles once she's home. One key commitment from me is that your dog will feel at home, in a family environment, and will never be left alone. That includes nighttime, when I'll be sleeping in the living room nearby your dog (who I am betting will get a particularly good night's sleep, despite the unfamiliar environment, given all the exercise!). Because of our experience caring for Fonzie, who had mobility issues in his final years, I've also got a soft spot for looking after older dogs. I certainly won't be pushing your dog to walk more than he or she wants. We'll make sure the activity level/duration is appropriate for age, breed and overall health, following your own instructions closely. I'm a freelance writer, with the freedom to pick (or skip) assignments given that I'm approaching retirement age and frankly more interested in getting out for my own daily walk! If your dog is with me, I won't be getting distracted by work. We'll just walk somewhere nice and meet some other dogs along the way. In my home, your dog will be encouraged to sleep on a dog bed in the living room, but I'm not precious. We do have a comfy and well-worn leather sofa that Fonzie certainly preferred and your dog will be welcome to it, if the dog bed doesn't appeal. I'll stay overnight in the living room with your dog. I'll want to keep my visitor company and ensure there's no wimpering. For any quick potty breaks, we have parkland directly outside our home, so we'll go out at night and first thing in the morning, get some food, and then perhaps head out for a longer walk with snacks in the backpack. If you need me to look after your dog overnight in your own home, I'll simply follow whatever your instructions are. I'm a man of simple tastes, so you won't need to make any special accommodations for me.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Dunboyne. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Dunboyne after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
