About: I am patient and calm and i had loved being around animals since i was a little kid. I’ll be so happy to make company to your pet and give them love and attention. I had a senior cat and a senior dog so I have experience with giving pills and special medication with kindness and affection. I am currently studying on the morning during the week, so I have the rest of the day and all of the weekends free to stay with your pet! Unfortunately, the real estate agency does not allow pets in my house, but I will be happy to take care of your pet in your house providing attention, affection, food, bath if necessary, walks, playing games and everything he needs with a lot of love!

“Matheus stayed in our house to mind Kenzo who unfortunately had been diagnosed with bronchitis a few days before we left for our holiday. However, Matheus was excellent in his care for Kenzo, so kind and making every effort to ensure he took his medication. I would absolutely recommend Matheus to mind your pet. He kept us updated with several photos and texts during each day and is very caring and responsible.”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs since I was 11 years old. Growing up with my own dog taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each dog's unique personality and needs. In addition to caring for my own dog, I've also looked after friends' dogs, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and providing companionship while their owners were away. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I'm reliable, patient, and attentive, and I enjoy spending time outdoors, making walks both fun and engaging. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby for company, I'm happy to adapt to their routine and needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I work a standard 9–5 schedule, primarily from home, which gives me flexibility throughout the day to provide care and attention to pets. I can often adjust my schedule to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, or sitting requests, and I'm generally available during evenings and weekends as well. I always aim to work with owners to find arrangements that suit both their needs and their pet's routine. If caring for pets in my apartment, I ensure the environment is safe, clean, and comfortable at all times. The space is kept free of hazards such as exposed food, toxic items, or anything that could be unsafe for curious dogs. Doors and windows are secured to prevent any chance of escape. Because I work from home, I’m able to supervise pets throughout the day and provide regular attention, toilet breaks, and companionship. I also live near suitable walking areas, which allows for safe and consistent exercise. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and can accommodate crate routines or specific house rules where needed to help pets feel comfortable and settled in a familiar structure.

“Natalia housesat my two needy dogs for 10 days. She was splendid in keeping me updated on their daily routines, she effectively administered medication for my elderly dog, gave me detailed information about their exercise routines; and when I returned the dogs were obviously content and had grown affectionate with her. I give her my highest recommendation as a caregiver and house sitter. My home was immaculate when I returned. Couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter.”

About: About Me I am an experienced dog owner with a genuine love for animals and a calm, patient approach to caring for dogs. I have experience with large rescue dogs, having cared for two rescue dogs weighing around 60kg each. This has given me hands-on experience with strong dogs, different personalities, and dogs who may need extra patience, reassurance and time to feel comfortable. I understand that every dog is different. Some dogs need a long adventure, some need a calm walk, and some need someone who understands that trust takes time. My priority is always making sure your dog feels safe, comfortable and cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time to caring for dogs and providing reliable walks, visits and boarding when needed. I am mainly available on weekends and can also accommodate weekday availability depending on the service required. I understand how important consistency and routine are for dogs, so I always aim to provide care that fits naturally around their normal habits and needs. I have experience caring for large rescue dogs and understand the importance of patience, calm handling and building trust. I have owned two rescue dogs weighing around 60kg each, so I am comfortable with larger dogs and dogs who may need extra reassurance in new situations. I have a safe environment and always prioritise the dog's comfort, routine and wellbeing. I am happy to follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medication or any specific needs their dog may have.

About: Have taken care of pets for many years mainly cats, hamsters and guinea pigs with from time to time minding dogs such as red setters, beagles and smaller dogs. Besides the "regular" kind of animals I have also minded fishes and I have a deep interest in sugar gliders and other exotic pets I'm a masters student, so I have plenty of time to mind, check-up or walk the pets. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests. The pets safety and well-being are my top priorities. If there are any medications or strict guidelines to follow be assured that I don't mind take extra time or steps to ensure the comfort and peace of mind of both owners and pets alike. There is a very big park/walking route that can be adapted to suit all levels of energy your pet may have. Generally I wouldn't not take cats and dogs at the same time, unless they were siblings and were coming together. I wouldn't take more than 3 dogs at a time. As for cats I can accommodate maximum 4 cats depending on their personalities and willingness to be around other cats. In regards to exotic pets, it would depend and the type of pet.

About: I’ve been very lucky to have grown up around and cared for many different animals over the years, including dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and really enjoy getting to know their different personalities and little quirks. I’m comfortable caring for animals with different needs and routines, and I understand how important it is to give each pet the attention, patience and care they deserve. Whether it’s an energetic dog who loves a long walk, a cat who prefers their own space, or a smaller pet who needs gentle and attentive care, I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I’m also now a professionally qualified nurse, so responsibility, patience, communication and caring for others are a big part of my everyday life. My nursing career has taught me to be attentive to changes in wellbeing, follow routines and instructions carefully, and remain calm and responsible when something unexpected happens. For me, pet sitting isn’t just about making sure an animal is fed and walked, I want them to feel happy, comfortable, safe and genuinely cared for while their owners are away. Hi, I’m Liam! 👋 I’m a friendly, reliable and caring person based in Dublin, and I’d love the opportunity to look after your pets and give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’m naturally very caring and responsible, and I take pride in being dependable and attentive to the little things. My professional background is in nursing, so I’m used to being responsible, organised and calm, and I understand how important it is to follow instructions carefully and communicate clearly. Outside of work I’m very active and enjoy running, cycling and spending time outdoors, so I’d be more than happy to bring an energetic dog along for a good walk or adventure. At the same time, I’m equally happy having a quiet evening at home with a dog or cat who just wants some company and TLC! When you’re away, I know how reassuring it is to receive updates, photos and know that your pet is happy, comfortable and being looked after properly. I will always follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible and treat your home with the same respect I’d expect for my own. I’m particularly interested in house sitting because I love the idea of giving pets the comfort of staying in their own home rather than having their routine disrupted. I’m reliable, respectful, attentive and genuinely excited to meet your pets. Feel free to get in touch. I’d be delighted to arrange a meet & greet! I provide a safe, calm and caring environment where your pet can feel comfortable and maintain their normal routine. When caring for pets in their own home, I treat both the pet and their home with the same respect and care I would my own. I’m happy to follow feeding, walking, medication and bedtime routines exactly as requested, and I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise and companionship. As a qualified nurse, I’m responsible, attentive and comfortable responding calmly if anything unexpected happens. I’ll also keep owners updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾

About: I’ve had pets my whole life — I’ve raised, cared for, and loved animals of all ages, from energetic puppies to seniors who need special attention. This lifelong bond taught me to understand every behavior, respect every routine, and recognize when a pet just needs affection or a little extra care. Here, your best friend isn’t treated as just another pet: they’re treated as if they were my own. Walks, feeding, medication (if needed), playtime, and plenty of attention — all with responsibility, love, and complete transparency with you. Your pet happy, you worry-free. 💛 🐾 Available every afternoon and weekends for your best friend I study in the mornings until 12 pm, which means my afternoons and weekends are fully dedicated to caring for pets. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping your furry friend company, your pet will always have someone attentive, loving, and reliable by their side. 🐾 Home visits — care right where your pet feels safest Since I currently live somewhere that doesn’t allow pets, I offer all my care at your home — walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship in the environment your pet already knows and loves. This means less stress for them and total peace of mind for you. And honestly? It works both ways: spending time with animals fills my heart and helps me with my own longing to have a pet around. Your best friend gets genuine, heartfelt attention — not just a service.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Dunboyne on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

House sitters can stay overnight in your home and care for your pets according to the routine you agree on before the booking.

Depending on your pets’ needs, this may include feeding, walks, play, companionship, medication, providing toilet or litter-box care, and keeping their usual schedule. Some sitters may also agree to light household tasks, such as collecting mail, watering plants, or putting bins out, but these are not automatically included.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss the sitter’s overnight schedule, how long your pets can comfortably be left alone, arrival and departure times, update preferences, and all tasks you would like to arrange. Confirm the agreed responsibilities through the Rover app before booking.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dunboyne choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
