“Zsusanna is absolutely incredible. Couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She took amazing care of our 12 year old brown labrador Freddy , our rabbit coco and our fish twinkle toes. The pets and our home were cared for beautifully and I would recommend Zsusanna to anyone who wants peace of mind when they travel that all is well at home. Zsusanna sent daily updates and photos of Freddy . She clearly adored him and he her. We will be booking Zsusanna again for sure.”

About: As a veterinary student with several years of hands-on experience in clinical practice, I bring a strong foundation in animal health and behavior. I’ve worked with a wide range of pets—dogs, cats, and small animals—providing everything from routine care to administering medications and monitoring special health needs. My training has given me confidence in handling pets of all temperaments, recognizing signs of illness or stress early, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I am a veterinary student with various hours through out week in morning and evenings. I am usually free all weekends as well. I provide long walks that give me breaks during class. In a pet owner’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow the owner’s routine closely—feeding, fresh water, litter changes, walks, and playtime—while also giving plenty of affection and companionship. I make sure their home stays tidy, and I keep owners updated with regular photos and messages so they feel reassured.

“Tiago is great! He stayed in our apartment and took care so well of my cat and dog. With us he was extremely communicative and reassuring and he sent us updates even multiple times a day. An extremely nice person overall!”

“Natalia is a wonderful young lady and so professional. She was brilliant with my two cats who she cared for overnight, I felt so at ease even though this was the first time I had left them overnight, Natalia kept me updated of how their evening was going and sent me videos to assure me they were content and relaxed. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be availing of her services again 5 stars ⭐️”

About: **Feb 2026 Update I am taking immediate requests** Hi! My name is Alex and I live in Dublin with my partner. I am 32 years old and work in social work. I have two cats of my own, one named Dexter (11 yrs-ginger kitten) and the other is Murphy (6 yr-black covid kitten). The first cats I adopted were two Abyssinian boys named Butch and Sundance. I raised them from kittens to elderly. They made me fall in love with cats, and I miss them so much! I rescued Murphy who was a street cat during covid and we've been inseparable ever since. I love cats and I am extremely experienced with these wonderful animals. My partner and I have even rescued several litters working with a local cat rescue to give them a shot at a better life. They are all now adopted into lovely homes. I use the bus and train for transport so I am open to a wide variety of locations I may be needed. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have.

“Sheila exceeded all of our expectations in every way and we will absolutely be booking her services again the future. She did an amazing job house sitting for us and sent plenty of photos of our dog loving his life.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Dublin
Robyn minded our dog Rolo, for 10 days in our home while we were away on holidays and I honestly can’t recommend her enough! ♥️ She made sure Rolo got plenty of walks, attention and belly rubs and most importantly, that he felt happy and comfortable while we were gone! She also provided us with regular updates so we knew he was in good hands 🙌 Thank you so much Robyn, for taking such amazing care of our precious Rolo. We’re so grateful! ♥️🐾

Chiara house sat for us while we were away for 2 nights. She looked after our two cats and they had a wonderful time! They were well taken care of, given a lot of attention and we came back to a tidy house. Chiara had great communication with us throughout the 2 days and sent lots of photos. We would definitely recommend her to any cat owners who need someone to look after their kitties!

Kristina minded our dog Willow in our home for 5 days and nights recently. She was kind enough to come and meet us in advance of our trip as we were nervous leaving our dog with someone we hadn't and Willow had never met before. We shouldn't have had any concerns though as Willow took to her like a duck to water and we were very happy heading off that she was in good hands. Kiristina send us updates and photos every day and even stayed on later than we had originally asked her because I had mixed up the flight times for our journey home. She even laundered the bed linen which was so kind of her. I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks Kristina.

Out of all the people who specifically stated they were available the August Bank Holiday weekend Carla was the only one came through and at the very last minute. Which I was so greatful for. So thank you Carla. She was very prompt, and straight away I knew she would be good to Snowy. She sent me lovely pics and I would personally most definitely use her services again. Would totally recommend Carla.

We are very happy to have found Marcella to look after our Cody. We were away for 9 days and Marcella took a good care of our German shepherd. I would recommend Marcella 100% . We were updated threw out the time and informed any concerns if arise. Our dog was happy and so are we. We're looking forward for another holiday s!
Tiago took excellent care of our two cats & was very easy & friendly to communicate with. We went on a 10 day trip & received lovely updates & videos every morning & evening. Will definitely be booking Tiago again for any future trips. Thanks - Caroline & Tanguy + Logan & Cal :)

Irvin was amazing. He cared for Toby better than myself or my sons could. He watered plants and brushed Toby during the heatwave in Dublin which was a challenge. He took Him for walks in the cool evening putting Toby’s needs before his own. The house was left spotless and I would highly recommend him. Thanks again Irvin Toby misses you already!

Carolina was an excellent sitter for our shy cat, Butter. She was proactive about coming to meet him for the first time, clearly very loving, was in communication throughout, and very flexible. We felt super comforted to have her watching Butter for the multiple days we were out of town. Would recommend her without hesitation!

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dublin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
