“Zsusanna is absolutely incredible. Couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She took amazing care of our 12 year old brown labrador Freddy , our rabbit coco and our fish twinkle toes. The pets and our home were cared for beautifully and I would recommend Zsusanna to anyone who wants peace of mind when they travel that all is well at home. Zsusanna sent daily updates and photos of Freddy . She clearly adored him and he her. We will be booking Zsusanna again for sure.”

About: Hi there! My name is Adele, and my life has been deeply enriched by the presence of cats for as long as I can remember. My personal journey as a cat owner spans over a decade, most notably with my beloved 13-year-old feline companion. Living alongside him for the majority of his life has given me invaluable insight into the nuances of feline health, diet, and emotional well-being.
“Tiago is great! He stayed in our apartment and took care so well of my cat and dog. With us he was extremely communicative and reassuring and he sent us updates even multiple times a day. An extremely nice person overall!”

“Sheila exceeded all of our expectations in every way and we will absolutely be booking her services again the future. She did an amazing job house sitting for us and sent plenty of photos of our dog loving his life.”

About: Hi! I'm Constanza, and I've been an animal lover my entire life. I grew up with both dogs and cats and have always had them as part of my family, so I know how special they are and how much trust it takes to leave a pet with someone. While I'm new to professional pet care, my experience comes from a lifetime of hands, on care, from energetic puppies and playful kittens who need all the exercise and stimulation, to senior dogs and cats who just need a gentle pace, a cozy lap, and plenty of quiet cuddles. I'm based in Dublín and offer services tailored to your pet's unique personality. For dogs, that means walks full of fun, sniffing opportunities, and tail wags. For cats, that means playtime, companionship, and lots of gentle attention while you're away. I'm responsible, punctual, and will treat your pet with the same love and care I've given my own. I can't wait to meet your furry best friend! Pet care fits perfectly into my daily and weekly routine. I'm currently taking an English course from Monday to Friday in the mornings, which is why I'm available from 1:00 PM onwards on weekdays. On Saturdays and Sundays, I have full-day availability, so I can adapt to whatever your pet needs, whether it's a long walk, playtime, or just some company and cuddles while you're away. I'm committed to being reliable and punctual, and I'll always make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve. Since I offer dog walking and home visits, I always prioritize the safety and comfort of your pet in their own environment. When I visit your home, I make sure to follow your instructions carefully, whether it's feeding, playing, or just keeping them company. I'm very respectful of your space and always ensure doors and gates are properly closed to prevent any escapes. During walks, I keep dogs on a leash at all times unless we're in a safe, enclosed area you've approved. I avoid busy roads, stay alert to their body language, and make sure they have a fun but safe experience. I also carry water for them and avoid walking in extreme weather. I'll always send you updates and photos so you can see how happy and well-cared-for your pet is while you're away.
About: I'm currently studying between 13h30 and 17h in D1 (monday to friday), so I would have plenty of time in the morning and evenings. Every day of the week. Back home, I used to keep my house very secure without any access to the streets, so I would be mindfull on my away into the cat's house. First, I would provide food (may be the first thing on your pet's mind) and refresh their water. While they are eating, I would take care of the litter box and make sure the enviroment is tidy. After that, it's play time or quiet quality time (as the customers prefer). Before leaving, I would double-check everything and send photos and updates to the pet parent.

About: My love for dogs started at a young age, as I was always around dogs growing up. In 2022, I started dog & house sitting for one of my coworkers. He and his wife spread the word, and I ended up dog & house sitting for their entire friend group. All of their dogs were seniors and I was affectionately dubbed the "geriatric dog sitter". Over the course of three years, I grew to love their dogs as much as they did and was devastated when they all crossed the rainbow bridge. I had one other dog in the group that was a young golden retriever and he's still going strong today. I currently only work on Saturdays, so I have plenty of time during the week for your fur babies! I like to take the dogs I watch on at least one walk a day, two if the weather allows it. I will follow whatever rules you have set forth for your dogs and your home. I always want to leave the house better than I found it, which means clean up after the dogs if they have muddy paws, mop up the puddles around the water bowl, and make sure everything is where I found it when I arrived. If the garden is fenced and allows the dogs to be outside without a lead, I'll often go out with them or stand in the doorway until they're ready to come inside.
“Ruth is really brilliant, she stayed with our 11 year old dog who was taken care of so well. The communication was amazing with lots of updates with pictures and videos. Not only was our dog well taken care of but the house was also spotless when we got home. Could not recommended Ruth more highly.”

About: Hello! I'm Lubi, I hope to help you take care of your pet! I had the privilege of being a kitten's mom for nine years, Fiona was playful and loving and brightened my days. And I was also a puppy's aunt, Toffy was sweet and very agitated. Since they left, I started taking care of pets for my friends and family. They count on me to feed, play and give a lot of attention and affection, thus ensuring that their pets are well while they need to be absent. I currently work part-time, so I can organize myself to take care of your pets. This includes visiting them, feeding them, and playing with them. I can care for pets in their owner's home, providing greater security and confidence for the pet by keeping them in their familiar environment. I am punctual and responsible, paying attention to detail. I maintain active communication with owners so they feel their pet is doing well.

Out of all the people who specifically stated they were available the August Bank Holiday weekend Carla was the only one came through and at the very last minute. Which I was so greatful for. So thank you Carla. She was very prompt, and straight away I knew she would be good to Snowy. She sent me lovely pics and I would personally most definitely use her services again. Would totally recommend Carla.

We are very happy to have found Marcella to look after our Cody. We were away for 9 days and Marcella took a good care of our German shepherd. I would recommend Marcella 100% . We were updated threw out the time and informed any concerns if arise. Our dog was happy and so are we. We're looking forward for another holiday s!
Tiago took excellent care of our two cats & was very easy & friendly to communicate with. We went on a 10 day trip & received lovely updates & videos every morning & evening. Will definitely be booking Tiago again for any future trips. Thanks - Caroline & Tanguy + Logan & Cal :)

Irvin was amazing. He cared for Toby better than myself or my sons could. He watered plants and brushed Toby during the heatwave in Dublin which was a challenge. He took Him for walks in the cool evening putting Toby’s needs before his own. The house was left spotless and I would highly recommend him. Thanks again Irvin Toby misses you already!

Carolina was an excellent sitter for our shy cat, Butter. She was proactive about coming to meet him for the first time, clearly very loving, was in communication throughout, and very flexible. We felt super comforted to have her watching Butter for the multiple days we were out of town. Would recommend her without hesitation!
Lizzy was absolutely amazing with Ivy and Foley. She was gentle caring and I could see through the daily updates that Lizzy sent that she got to know their personalities immediately. I appreciated her reliability throughout the booking process and would highly recommend her for future bookings.

Isabella looked after our dog Axel for a weekend and she was amazing. She has great experience looking after dogs and she went above and beyond what we expected. We were really happy with her and would definitiely use again and recommend to anyone looking for a dog-sitter.

Nallely did an excellent job looking after my cat Nelly while I was away. Throughout the weekend she sent lots of updates and I was able to relax knowing that my cat was in good hands. Nallely is also a lovely person who puts in so much effort. I wouldn't hesitate to ask her to look after Nelly again!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
