Amazing experience booking Zsuzsanna! We left her with our three very needy dogs for a week and she was great. We have a camera in our living room and checked in the odd time. We saw her being affectionate to them, we could tell by their body language they were very comfortable with her and they liked her. We got plenty of photos and updates. She also watched our apartment while we were away. We had zero concerns and got to fully relax and enjoy our week away. She played games with them that stimulated them. Zsuzsanna is amazing and we will be holding on to her contact info and definitely booking with her again in the future. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a great pet sitter!

Great sitter! Very communicative and caring. Did a great job looking after our dog — but also our house. Did meet and greet ahead of dates and also research on breed and the specifics about our dog.

About: My family got our first dog when I was 3. Over the years many more joined our family, and we had three for most of my childhood. We had dogs of all sizes big and small, and various personalities :) I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and requirements, having cared for our dogs from their puppy era until the end of their life with various health requirements, I feel as if I have a group grasp on caring for all needs :) I have always loved dogs, and would only be delighted to mind yours :) Having moved to Dublin in 2023 to pursue a degree in Midwifery, as I am currently living in the city centre, I am unfortunately not in the position to have a dog of my own at the moment. My schedule is always changing, meaning I am more flexible to care for your pet :) I am more than willing to adapt to whatever requirements or requests you have in regards to your pet and its unique needs. I am used to both young and old dogs, laid back and energetic sorts!

About: Fortunately, I grew up with the best of friends (pets) and a deep love and respect for animals; I’ve been vegan for nine years to stay true to my values. I have a natural instinct to look after animals. I work part-time, so I can play with your pets, feed them or even give them their medicine (if needed). At the weekend, I could look after them and take them for a walk. Your baby won’t be short of love and attention. If you need care in your own home, I will follow all the guidelines to ensure your pets feel comfortable and safe And I’ll look after them as if they were my own.

About: I have looked after many different pets since 2014! Back then, I went around the neighborhood pet sitting and doing daily walks! Now, I am available for many different forms of pet care whether its near or far. I have experience with larger dogs (huskies primarily) small dogs, cats, etc! I am comfortable adjusting to any pets needs and learning exactly the best way to care for them individually. I currently do not work and do only a little bit of school on the side. I recently moved to Dublin so I am still settling in, and have plenty of time to care for your pets and any of their needs. I will give your pet any attention and/or space that they require, especially because I know some pets are very anxious when strangers are in their safe space. Essentially, I will do whatever is needed so they are the most comfortable during their care.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was a child, so being around dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that means going for walks, playing or simply keeping them company. I’m responsible, caring and attentive, and I’ll always treat your dog with the same care and affection I would give my own. About: I’m a lifelong cat lover who grew up surrounded by furry companions. Back in Brazil, I had two wonderful cats who were my daily joy and I miss them deeply. Every chance I get, I find myself cuddling a cat 🤣. I understand their moods, respect their space, and enjoy giving them affection and attention. I’m even planning to adopt one soon, so looking after someone else’s feline feels like a treat as much as a responsibility. I work from home Tuesday to Thursday so depending on the location I can pop in for visits during the day. Im also available on weekdays after 5pm and on weekends I provide a quiet and stress free environment and respect their personality. Maintain a clean litter area and also spend time playing if they want!

About: Hi, my name is Jossan, from Brazil. I'm a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Dublin. I've had dogs my entire life, so being around animals feels completely natural to me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets, whether it's going for walks, playing, feeding them, or simply keeping them company while you're away. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I'll always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I'm responsible, patient, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Your furry friend will receive plenty of attention, affection, and care. I look forward to meeting you and your pet and making sure they have a happy, stress-free experience while you're away. I'm good on giving medication as well. My goal is not only to care for your pet but also to give you complete peace of mind while you're away, knowing they're in safe and loving hands. I recently moved to Dublin and have plenty of free time to make your life easier while also giving your pet some quality time. I love all kind of animals 🥰 I will play a lot with your pet and give it all the attention it deserves, including a walk to the park. Picking up poop is among my responsibilities.

We were lucky enough to book Kylah to housesit our dog for over a week. She is completely at ease with & genuinely loves animals. He got all the walks, love & attention. Kristina minded our dog Willow in our home for 5 days and nights recently. She was kind enough to come and meet us in advance of our trip as we were nervous leaving our dog with someone we hadn't and Willow had never met before. We shouldn't have had any concerns though as Willow took to her like a duck to water and we were very happy heading off that she was in good hands. Kiristina send us updates and photos every day and even stayed on later than we had originally asked her because I had mixed up the flight times for our journey home. She even laundered the bed linen which was so kind of her. I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks Kristina.

FAQs for House Sitting - Dublin

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Dublin on Rover is €32.2 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 805 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dublin. Enter your Eircode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when contacting them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking rubbish out on scheduled bin collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Dublin walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dublin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
