“It was our first time to leave Lennon with a sitter and we couldn’t off been happier. He was well looked after by Chiara and Gianmarco. We got plenty of video and picture updates, which was great to see Lennon so happy playing with there two dogs. We were very happy with them and have booked again and I know Lennon will be well looked after.”

“I can’t recommend Gerard highly enough! He’s so kind and caring, and my dog absolutely loves staying with him. It’s such a relief knowing my dog is happy, well looked after, and having fun. I really appreciate the photo updates during the day — they always make me smile! Everything is always easy, reliable, and stress-free.”

“Liam and Floki had a great time at Lorrayne’s loving home. You can easily tell that they are dog lovers. My dog Liam is really nervous around new people, they had the patience and care to get him to trust them. Lorrayne sent pictures and videos to update us all the time. I definitely recommend and would repeat :)”
“I had never left Rosie with a sitter before, Esther really put my mind at ease. She sent me regular updates, with pictures and videos which were brilliant. She treated Rosie like she was her own dog. I will definitely be booking her in again with Esther, and I couldn’t recommend her enough”

“Riley had the best 2 days with Caroline. She is the best dogsitter we have used on this website. She looked after him so well and she sent updates and photos during the day. Riley came home exhausted both days after playing with all of his buddies. She has a huge garden which is enclosed and loads of toys for the dogs. Riley had the best time playing ball in the garden. I would highly recommend Caroline for dogsitting. She is very friendly and it is obvious that she really loves dogs as they are all treated like one of her own.”

“Gigi’s stay with Bernadette could not have been better. We both received a fantastic welcome and it was obvious from the first minute that Bernadette and Thomas were 100% doggie people. We had only adopted Gigi 4 weeks ago and were worried that leaving her for the day would set her back however on collecting her she was in fabulous form having had a walk in the local park and the freedom of exploring their lovely enclosed garden. All in all she had a fabulous time and is looking forward to her next visit.”

“Breniely took great care of Finn and is a reliable dog sitter. She gave him lots of walks and attention and Finn was a big fan. She has worked as a vet in her previous career, so I knew Finn was in great hands.”

About: You can call me Tyra! I have a lifetime of hands-on experience, from growing up with dogs to working summers at my sister’s professional pet salon. I’ve cared for any fluffy babies ranging from high-energy puppies to gentle seniors, and have multiple experiences with pet sitting. I offer not just love and attention, but the trained eye to notice when something’s off because to me, they are family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine: I can work from home, so I’m around throughout the day for regular walks, playtime, and attention. Living near the heart of Dublin City Centre, I have easy access to dog-friendly paths and green spaces, making daily walks a joy for both me and the pups I care for. Whether it’s a quick stroll or a long outing, I love weaving pet care seamlessly into my everyday life. When caring for pets in my home, I aim to create a calm, cozy environment where they can feel safe. Through routine walks, play, and cuddles, I keep a consistent schedule for feeding, bathroom breaks, and downtime. Always tuned in to their individual needs and personality.
“My dog Hogan had the best time with Adaline. The fact that he dragged me to Adaline’s house and went running in to them says it all. Very happy with Adeline’s care. I can tell he was very well looked after. Can highly recommend Adeline.”

About: I'm an experienced house and pet sitter. With how busy schedules can be I strive to use different tools and approaches to help enrich your pets' lives. I love going on long walks, especially to the beach, playing fetch and teaching tricks! I am educated on dog and cat care with a passion to keep learning. I focus on quality enrichment aiming to be a positive and patient person for your pets. Pet care fits my lifestyle perfectly, as a Dublin creative most of my responsibilities are fortnightly which leaves me with free full days and nights. I currently live in a pet friendly apartment building with a big back yard for playing and a five minute walk from Herbert Park and 20 minute walk from Merrion Square Park.
About: I only take one dog at a time so your baby gets all the attention and love they need. Love is all we need. 🫶 I’m Jessica, and I absolutely love dogs! I’m super caring and will do my best to keep your pup happy. I have over 15 years of experience with dogs and had two of my own. Django, my Schnauzer, had a heart condition that required special care, so I have experience handling medication and responding to emergency situations. Nola, my rescue dog, suffered severe abuse from her previous owner, which led to panic attacks. Her episodes are managed with CBD oil, a cozy blanket, soothing words, and lots of cuddles. Because of this, I’m also well-versed in helping anxious dogs feel safe and secure. I always visit Nola, she’s been with my sister. (you can see photos of Django and Nola in my photo gallery!). My apartment is 60 meters square (please see some photos of my place in my photo gallery), is very central, near Jervis, with easy access to great walking spots. There’s a green area just a minute away behind The Church Bar, perfect for quick outings. If your dog is energetic, I’m happy to go for up to five walks a day. Otherwise, we can enjoy a cozy day full of cuddles.
“Silvana was very friendly and was available to mind Bailey during a busy time of year. She took great care of our dog who was in great form when we picked her up in the evening. Highly recommend for anyone looking for someone reliable to mind their dog!”

I pay particular attention to pet care and house rules and hope to keep the joy alive while you're away! I have all the time in the world to care for your pet and/or home! I am currently in between jobs so my days and nights are generally open to bookings. I take pet care and house rules very seriously. I live in a row house with a fenced backyard for your fur baby to explore and take in fresh air off leash.
About: Hi, I’m Suzanne, a dog lover living with my husband in Dublin 9, just a short drive from the airport. What inspired me to become a pet sitter was my own journey as a dog parent. I had a sweet Dachshund who lived to 16 years old and even traveled all the way from Brazil with us, so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can fully trust to care. That’s exactly the kind of care I offer — with love, patience, and attention to every detail. My goal is simple: to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. • 👩💻 Attention throughout the day, as I usually work from home • 🐾 Walks full of sniffing, exercise, and fun • 🍽️ Patience with picky eaters — I’ll make sure meals are comfortable • 🛁 Gentle bath time if they need a little refresh • 💕 Plenty of cuddles, play, and affection — I’ll treat your dog as part of the family 🏡 A peaceful home with a calm routine, where your dog will feel safe and relaxed • 🌳 A spacious, secure garden for fresh air and playtime
“Maham was absolutely lovely with our Jack Russell Sean. She minded him for a full day while I went to a conference. She sent me photos and updates through the day, and we picked him up happy. Highly recommend her and we'll request her dogsitting again next time we need it.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs belonging to friends and family, mostly small and medium-sized breeds. They trust me to look after their pets in my home, where I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I enjoy taking dogs for walks in the park, playing with them in the garden, and keeping them active and entertained. I make sure to follow their feeding routine, provide regular toilet breaks, and meet any specific needs they may have. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I am available throughout the week and on weekends for dog boarding, pet sitting, and dog walking. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, walks, or simply having company throughout the day, I can provide a caring and attentive environment. I am happy to welcome dogs into my home or help by taking them for walks if you have a busy schedule and need an extra hand. When caring for dogs in my home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. When dogs stay with me overnight, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible. A typical day includes their meals at the appropriate times, regular toilet breaks, and plenty of playtime and exercise. I enjoy taking dogs to the park for walks and outdoor activities, and at home they can relax or play in my fully fenced garden. If you prefer your dog to stay within a secure home environment, I can provide plenty of fun and stimulation in the garden instead. Every dog is different, and I always adapt to their individual routine, personality, and needs to ensure they are happy and comfortable.

Lorrayne and her partner took such great care of Sam! Sam was absolutely knocked out after the day they had playing. They also took millions of picas and kept you up to date with what they were up to throughout the day. I highly recommend Lorrayne and would book her again for sure 💖

We’ve been having a great experience with Chiara as our pet sitter. Our dog Zoe is always in very good hands with her. Chiara is extremely reliable, caring, and always very available whenever we need help. Her boyfriend is also wonderful with Zoe, and together they make her feel comfortable and loved. We especially appreciate that they always send us photos and updates, which gives us a lot of peace of mind when we are away. We can truly tell that Zoe is happy and well cared for with them. Highly recommended!

Silvana minded our dog Charlie in her home for 1 week. We came back to a very happy well looked after dog. Nothing was too much trouble. We also got update texts and photos mid week which I really appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Silvana.

Peach has been going to Gustavo’s for a few weeks now and we couldn’t be happier! She’s always happy to go and always so relaxed and well cared for when we pick her up. Gustavo is a delight to deal with, amazing communication and we’re so happy to have him mind our pup.

Melida was absolutely wonderful with our little Wendy, an 8 month old cocker spaniel full of energy. Her dog Joy is such a sweet munchkin as well. Wendy and Joy played all day and then cuddled. Melida took loads of photos and videos of Wendy throughout the day. Will be booking her whenever we can. Wendy absolutely loves the pair and was so excited to go back!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your working day. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalised environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-to-one attention, and same-day collection and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose 'can host' section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socialising needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters 'Doesn't own a dog' and 'Only accepts one pet at a time' to find the right care.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they 'Accept multiple clients' or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Many sitters on Rover can help with collection and drop-off! You can find the cost of collection and drop-off in their profile under 'See additional rates'.
If you found a day care close to your home in Dublin, you can also explore dog walking as an add-on service, which allows your sitter to collect or drop off your dog from their home to yours. Add your location to the search field to find sitters near you and message them directly about transport alternatives.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
