“Béirin had a great time with Gérard, was well looked after and was very excited going in each day. Geard was very flexible and accommodating with anything I needed and was very quick on communication and also sent lovely photos and videos of Béirin having a great time playing with the other dogs, would highly recommend!”

“Jaine was amazing with our dog Ella, who can be quite difficult to mind as she is a very anxious/nervous dog with people she doesn’t know. Jaine has so much patience and kindness. Can definitely recommend!”

“Lorrayne and Francine looked after my 3 month old puppy Romy this week. They were fantastic with him and kept him entertained for the full day. He got taken out on a walk, they played with him and he even got to mingle with other dogs. He had a great day and he will be visiting them again soon.”

About: Fortunately, I grew up with the best of friends (pets) and a deep love and respect for animals; I’ve been vegan for nine years to stay true to my values. I have a natural instinct to look after animals. I work part-time, so I can play with your pets, feed them or even give them their medicine (if needed). At the weekend, I could look after them and take them for a walk. Your baby won’t be short of love and attention. If you need care in your own home, I will follow all the guidelines to ensure your pets feel comfortable and safe And I’ll look after them as if they were my own.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been a natural part of who I am. I grew up in the countryside in Chile, where we were lucky to have four German Shepherds and one Dachshund—so I learned from a young age how to understand, respect, and care for different personalities and energy levels. Over the years, I also had the opportunity to care for Dobermans, a breed I truly love. I looked after them for three years at my family home, gaining experience with larger, more active dogs that require structure, attention, and confidence. When I became independent, I was gifted a brown Dachshund, who I have cared for since she was just 3 months old—she is my little princess. Although I don’t currently live with my dogs, they remain a very important part of my life. Friends and neighbors have also trusted me to care for their dogs, including Chihuahuas, Border Collies, Dobermans, and Dachshunds. This has given me valuable experience with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels, allowing me to adapt to each dog’s unique. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. 🐶💛 Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work remotely in the afternoons, which means I have my mornings and early afternoons fully available to dedicate to dog walking and pet care. I usually start my day early, so I can easily adapt to different schedules depending on each dog’s needs—whether that’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or spending a few hours keeping them company. Since I already have a structured routine, incorporating pet care is something I truly enjoy rather than something I have to fit in. I’m also flexible during the week and can organize my schedule in advance to ensure each pet receives the time, attention, and care they need. For longer stays or in-home care, I’m happy to adjust my routine to make sure pets feel comfortable and well looked after. I always adapt my care depending on each pet’s routine, personality, and the service required, whether it’s in my home or in the owner’s home. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I live in an apartment with a secure inner courtyard and a terrace, so they can enjoy fresh air in a safe environment. I maintain a calm and clean space, follow their usual feeding schedule, and ensure they get enough exercise, playtime, and affection. When I care for pets in their own home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding, walks, medication if needed, and any specific habits they have. I also make sure they feel accompanied, respected, and stress-free in their familiar environment. In both cases, I pay close attention to their behavior and needs, making sure they are happy, safe, and well cared for at all times. I also like to keep owners updated with messages or photos, so they feel reassured while they are away.

About: I love animals of all kinds. Growing up I always wanted to have a dog but my parents would not let me 🤭 Now as an adult I love taking care of other people’s animals ❤️ I love to walk everyday, so when I’m taking care of a pet I will take them with me on fun days outside. I work part-time in a flexible schedule, so I organize my routine based on the pets I'm taking care of. I've been taking care of both dogs and cats for 2 years. I live in a comfortable flat with my wife, with a small garden in the back and a fence. I have an organized home and a cleaning person who helps me from time to time
“We have left Lennon with Chiara and Gianmarco a few times now and couldn’t be happier with the service. They are very good with Lennon he always comes home happy. Would recommend them to anyone that wants a great service. We have Lennon booked in a few more times.”

About: Surrounded by animals my entire life (dogs, cats, and farm animals). My sister is a veterinarian in Brazil, which reinforces my commitment to animal welfare. I have always cared for my family's pets with genuine love and attention — walks, feeding, playtime, and affection. My home was a 'pet hotel' whenever my family traveled. I respect each animal's unique personality. I have two rescue dogs in Brazil who are my family. Ready to treat your pet as if it were my own. I work remotely, which gives me flexibility during the day to care for pets. I can provide walks, feeding, and companionship at times that work for you. I recently moved to Dublin and am establishing my routine, so I have availability to dedicate myself to pet care. My experience with multiple pets allows me to handle different needs — some require more attention, others prefer their own space. Your pet will receive quality time, regular walks, and genuine care. I offer flexibility in pet care. Having recently moved to Dublin, I can care for pets both at the owner's home and at mine (as needed and agreed). I'm experienced in hosting pets at my home — my family always used ours as a 'pet hotel' when traveling, and I treat each animal with the same care I give my own. I have two rescue dogs in Brazil (Sig and Jane, whom I'll bring to Dublin soon) and understand different animals' needs. If you prefer me to care for your pet at my place, I can provide walks, feeding, companionship, and playtime. If you prefer me to visit your home, I can do the same while maintaining your pet's routine. I work remotely, so I have availability to offer genuine attention in either setting
About: I’m a caring and responsible animal lover with many years of personal experience looking after pets. I currently have two cats and I also have a 14-year-old cat in Brazil, which has given me plenty of experience with daily pet care, different personalities and the needs of older animals. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs, including feeding, refreshing water, walking, playing, cleaning up after them and giving them plenty of attention and company. I understand that every pet has its own routine and personality, and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I’m patient, reliable and attentive, and I’m happy to send regular photos and updates so owners can feel relaxed knowing their pets are safe and well cared for. I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime and company. I can also accommodate different schedules when arranged in advance. When caring for pets in their own home, I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and respect both the pet’s routine and the home. I make sure doors and gates are secure, dogs are safely leashed during walks, and food, water and litter areas are kept clean. I’m patient and attentive, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away.

About: We’re a couple who share our home with Saiko, our chow chow, since December 2021. Raising a chow taught us patience, consistency and respect for a dog’s boundaries — they don’t hand you their trust, you earn it. Jérôme grew up with dogs from the day he was born, so between us there’s very little we haven’t handled: puppy energy, stubborn adolescents, senior dogs slowing down, thick double coats that need real brushing. Our flat is dog-proofed and dog-friendly, and we walk daily whatever the Irish weather does. Expect long walks, proper playtime, feeding and medication exactly as you instruct, and regular photo updates so you can actually relax while you’re away. Nervous, reactive or independent dogs are welcome — we’re used to reading body language rather than forcing contact. We both work full-time in Dublin, but our schedules are staggered — Maxime works often from home; Jérôme is working from home 3 week per month, so your dog is rarely alone. Saiko already sets the rhythm of the house: a long walk first thing, a break at midday, then a proper evening outing and playtime before we settle in. Your dog simply slots into that routine. Whatever the booking, you get photos and a short update every day. Our home is a flat in Dublin 1, dog-proofed after living with a chow chow: secure doors, nothing harmful within reach, and a quiet corner where a new dog can decompress with their own bed, bowls and blanket from home. We don’t have a garden, so exercise happens outside — we’re surrounded by parcs and walk at least three times a day, always on lead until we know your dog wel. Introductions are done slowly and on neutral ground. If your dog would rather keep their distance from Saiko, we keep them apart with a stair gate instead of forcing a friendship. Feeling, medication and routine are followed exactly as you write them, we never let a dog off lead without your say-so, and we have a local vet on file in case anything comes up.

About: Over 10+ years of experience taking care of pups; from puppies, adult, senior and rescued furry friends - I ensure each pup I welcome are given the utmost care and love. WFH and consult with the time, date and duration of the services I provide. Any pups we take care we are conscious of their routine and needs to ensure they are being looked after whilst fitting into our daily and weekly routine. I have a spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a balcony, and an enclosed courtyard for our furry friends to hang about for a quick play time. With 1 min walking distance to a large park, daily walks is super convenient, along with a 10 mins walk to the dog park. On leash always unless we are in the dog park and location in our walks will be on to ensure extra safety and care. Our apartment is very safe and newly built. If I am working, I normally have them around me so they do not get left alone, and I always have a pet camera for extra safety. This also applies for dogs we day sit, as we collect them in the time set and ensure to give them all the companionship and follow along their routine to create a sense of comfortability and normality during their stay. When walking the dogs, ensure my location is sharable to learn our whereabouts though I try to provide routine that suits the pups.
“Denise minded our 8 month old puppy Pippin for the day, and it went really well! Denise was really responsive and sent lots of pictures of pippin throughout the day. It was our first time using rover and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

I live right next to Phoenix Park, so your dog will enjoy lovely walks, plenty of fresh air and lots of attention during their stay. About: I only take one dog at a time so your baby gets all the attention and love they need. Love is all we need. 🫶 I’m Jessica, and I absolutely love dogs! I’m super caring and will do my best to keep your pup happy. I have over 15 years of experience with dogs and had two of my own. Django, my Schnauzer, had a heart condition that required special care, so I have experience handling medication and responding to emergency situations. Nola, my rescue dog, suffered severe abuse from her previous owner, which led to panic attacks. Her episodes are managed with CBD oil, a cozy blanket, soothing words, and lots of cuddles. Because of this, I’m also well-versed in helping anxious dogs feel safe and secure. I always visit Nola, she’s been with my sister. (you can see photos of Django and Nola in my photo gallery!). My apartment is 60 meters square (please see some photos of my place in my photo gallery), is very central, near Jervis, with easy access to great walking spots. There’s a green area just a minute away behind The Church Bar, perfect for quick outings. If your dog is energetic, I’m happy to go for up to five walks a day. Otherwise, we can enjoy a cozy day full of cuddles.

Gabriella took amazing care of our dog. She kept me updated throughout the day on how he was doing and handled the fact that he's a bit nervous around other dogs really well so he could still enjoy the park. She asked lots of questions about him so she could provide the best care and it would be a good match for everyone involved

Bernie and Thomas were absolutely amazing with my little pup. They attended to all his needs and gave him plenty of cuddles, playtime and lovely walks—the very things my little dog loves most! He felt so comfortable, safe and happy with them that he barely even flinched when I returned to collect him; he was far too content to bother with me! The love, care and affection they show to pets that are not their own is incredible. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you both so much we will definitely be back whenever I need another minding.
Marianne was the perfect dog sitter! She was right on time and so friendly and kind, both over text and in person. Saorla was really well looked after and I felt completely comfortable leaving her with Marianne. I didn’t have to worry at all and knew she was in very safe hands. Marianne sent me some lovely pictures of Saorla as well, which was really nice. Saorla was happy and nicely tired out by the time I got back. I’d definitely recommend Marianne and would happily book her again!

Denise was amazing. We will 100% be back. Séamus was nervous/excited after I left him and had a little bit of diarrhoea and Denise gave him a lil wash and kept me updated throughout the day. He was fine after the initial 10 mins and he's home now absolutely knackered. Thanks Denise he was so well looked after, appreciate it 💜
Martha was very responsive and flexible in looking after our rescue. She was open to a meet and greet and very receptive to our dog’s specific needs. Martha offered good flexibility according to our dog’s activity level (e.g. we could pay a little extra for an extra walk), and kept us updated on how he was doing throughout the day. We will happily book Martha again to look after Cloud!

Lorrayne was amazing with Kiwi and we couldn't have been happier! We were kept updated throughout the day with lots of photos and videos (which we really appreciated) and it was so reassuring to see Kiwi relaxed and having a great time while we were away. It's very clear that Lorrayne genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own - Kiwi got plenty of attention and was clearly very comfortable with Lorrayne. We'd have no hesitation recommending Lorrayne to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Thanks again for looking after Kiwi so well - we'd be delighted to have you mind her again!

I can’t recommend Marisa enough- she minded my Reya for a few hours when i was in work. She provided updates throughout the day with pictures and videos which was just lovely - it’s so nice to now know I can leave Reya with someone reliable , will definitely be booking again 🫶🏼

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your working day. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalised environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-to-one attention, and same-day collection and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose 'can host' section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socialising needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters 'Doesn't own a dog' and 'Only accepts one pet at a time' to find the right care.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they 'Accept multiple clients' or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Many sitters on Rover can help with collection and drop-off! You can find the cost of collection and drop-off in their profile under 'See additional rates'.
If you found a day care close to your home in Dublin, you can also explore dog walking as an add-on service, which allows your sitter to collect or drop off your dog from their home to yours. Add your location to the search field to find sitters near you and message them directly about transport alternatives.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
