Loving Pet Care with a Photographer

About Jaine Animals have always been a very important part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and have cared for them for many years. My three beloved dogs — Ted (a Pug), Amora (a Black Labrador), and Iron (an American Bully) — live with my parents in Brazil while I am living in Ireland. Being away from them has only made me appreciate even more how much our pets are truly part of the family. Over the years, I’ve looked after dogs with different personalities, ages, sizes, and energy levels. I understand that every dog has its own routine and unique needs. Whether your dog is playful, shy, energetic, or prefers a quieter environment, I will always care for them with patience, kindness, and respect. My goal is to make both you and your dog feel comfortable and confident while you’re apart. I’ll care for your dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, loved, and well looked after at all times. As a professional photographer, I also love capturing natural moments. During your dog’s stay, I’ll be happy to send you regular photo and video updates, so you can see how they’re doing and keep some beautiful memories too. I look forward to meeting you and your dog!

Jaine was WONDERFUL with my dog Tucker. He is a very anxious dog but he melted into her immediately upon meeting. I booked Jaine very last minute and she was so gracious to host Tucker for the few days I needed. She was extremely communicative, providing multiple pictures and videos throughout the day and checking in every morning. Will absolutely send Tucker to Jaine the next time we are in Dublin. He came back happy and healthy in Jaine's care ☺️ thank you!

Unfortunately, this was a pretty disappointing interaction. First, we agreed i would drop of my dog at 6am because I had an early flight. At 5:45am Jaine messages me to inform me that her husband planned a surprise for her and her sister in law will now be taking care of my dog. The SIL also spoke no english whatsoever. This gave me zero time to consider finding a replacement or any other options. I was placed in a desperate situation with no other choice but to leave my dog with someone not of my choosing who did not speak the language, so I could not talk with her about anything when I dropped my dog off (I was told I could text the Jaine and she would relay the messages). In the original booking I informed her that my dog can be dog reactive. I was also informed at 5:45am that there were 2 other dogs at the house currently that would be leaving that day. (Supposedly all the dogs would be locked in separate rooms) During the stay I only received updates about my girl when I texted first to see how she was doing. When I picked her up (not being able to communicate in person with the sitter), my dog desperately pulled me to go potty. Both 1 and 2. Since her listing states she takes the dogs out to potty every 1-2 hours, I am very concerned when she was last walked since she is an adult dog who can hold it for several hours. And a final trivial thing: the listing stated the sitter was a professional photographer so I would receive regular video and photo updates to "keep some beautiful memories". I received a picture of my dog standing awkwardly in a hallway and a 2 sec clip of her walking in a cemetery.... This is not how I expect someone to care for my dog "as if they were my own". I would not use this sitter again, nor recommend. When you entrust your loved one to a stranger, you are putting their little lives in someone else's hands and hoping for the best. The best is not what we received.

Jaine was absolutely amazing while looking after my dog Pip. As he is a small Chihuahua and only 8 months old I wanted to pick someone i knew i could trust. Jaine was so wonderful with him. She sent loads of photos and videos and kept me up to date on how he was getting on! I would recommend Jaine to anyone. She was so caring and amazing towards Pip💞

Jaine was amazing with our dog Ella, who can be quite difficult to mind as she is a very anxious/nervous dog with people she doesn’t know. Jaine has so much patience and kindness. Can definitely recommend!

Bucky had a genuinely great time with Jaine and I was happy to receive frequent updates. I will for sure leave Bucky in the hands of Jaine the next time I‘m out of town!

Schedule

I’m a photographer, and I also work from home editing photos, so I’m home almost all the time. I usually only leave the house to go to the gym and, a few times a week, to do some grocery shopping. Other than that, I’m literally at home all day, so the dogs always have company and supervision.

Safety, trust & environment

I have an extra skill as a photographer and I love photographing pets. So, in addition to taking care of your pet with all the love and affection, I can take beautiful photos of your friend! But nothing your dog/cat wouldn’t want — I value candid photos that showcase the true personality and joy of pets. I believe that capturing these authentic moments creates lasting memories for their owners. Plus, I always maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the animals, ensuring that they feel happy and at ease during our sessions.

A typical day

I really enjoy taking them for long walks in the morning, when the city is quieter. We usually go to larger parks where they have more space to explore, sniff around, and enjoy their walk. I find that this helps them burn off energy in a calm and enjoyable way before we head back home. I give the dogs plenty of attention throughout the day, keeping them engaged with toys, enrichment activities, and lots of interaction. If they have their own favorite toys at home, I always encourage their owners to bring them along so they can feel as comfortable and at home as possible. We also spend time playing both indoors and in the outdoor area, enjoying games like running, playing fetch, and tug-of-war, depending on each dog’s personality and preferences.

I don’t currently have any pets living with me in Ireland. My pets now live with my parents in Brazil. Because of that, I dedicate all of my attention and care to the dogs staying with me, making sure they receive plenty of love, supervision, and companionship throughout the day.
