About: I’ve had a dog since I was about 11 🩷 Loved to go on walks and play with her when I lived with my parents :) I’m not working at the moment, and I love to go on walks so having a little friend would make it even more fun. I always let my dog free roam, as she was a smaller breed but I have experience with crates and garden time as I used to take care of my aunts dogs.

About: Growing up on a farm, I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. We have three dogs at home who I absolutely adore, and since moving to the city I really miss having them around. I’d love to spend more time with dogs while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in safe, caring hands. As a nurse, I’m responsible, patient and dependable. I’m used to following routines, paying attention to detail and staying calm in any situation, all of which I bring to caring for pets. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch or simply having some company, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe and well looked after. I’ll care for every pet as if they were my own. I work as a nurse on a 12-hour shift pattern, so my availability changes each week. On my days off, I love being active outdoors, and spending time with dogs is exactly how I’d like to spend my free time! I’m very flexible and happy to arrange walks or pet sitting around my schedule. Just send me a message and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs. Your pet’s safety, happiness and routine will always be my priority. I’ll take the time to get to know their personality, needs and any instructions you leave, whether that’s feeding, medication, favourite walking routes or playtime. I’m calm, reliable and attentive to detail, so you can trust that your pet will be well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands.

About: I’ve had my first dog for over 10 years, and before my current pets I also had two other dogs and a cat. I truly love animals and have plenty of experience caring for them. Since my pets are not here with me in Ireland, I would be very happy to give love, attention, and care to your pets as if they were my own. At the moment, I work part-time for my own company, so I’m home most of the day and have plenty of time to give pets lots of attention, care, playtime, and company. I have a safe, clean, and comfortable home where pets can feel relaxed, cared for, and welcome during their stay. I always make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and a calm environment.

About: Over the past few years, I’ve cared for pets for friends and family, mainly cats and small to medium-sized dogs. My experience includes daily feeding, litter cleaning, playtime, and dog walking. I’m attentive to changes in behaviour, appetite, or mood, and I always prioritise pets’ safety and wellbeing. Pet care fits into my routine through pre-planned time blocks. I’m usually available for morning and evening visits on weekdays, and I have more flexibility during weekends. I always confirm time in advance to ensure consistency for each pet. When caring for pets in a pet owner’s home, I always prioritise safety, routine, and respect for the space. I carefully follow all instructions provided, including feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific preferences or restrictions. I make sure doors, windows, and gates are securely closed at all times, and I never leave pets unattended during walks or feeding. I keep the environment calm and familiar so pets feel relaxed and safe in their own home. I also treat the owner’s home with care and respect. I keep things tidy, clean up after each visit, and handle keys and access information responsibly. I’m happy to provide regular photo and text updates so owners can feel reassured while they’re away.

About: Hi, I’m Paula! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals and have spent over 20 years caring for dogs, cats, rabbits and birds. Throughout the years, I’ve also rescued animals whenever I could, including hand-raising orphaned kittens, feeding them every few hours and helping them grow strong enough to thrive. Those experiences taught me patience, dedication and just how much love and trust animals give in return. I also studied Veterinary Medicine for a period, which gave me valuable knowledge of animal behaviour, health and daily care. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, applying topical treatments, bathing pets and following special care routines for senior pets or those with medical needs. As a pet owner myself, I understand that pets are family. I know how difficult it can be to leave them with someone else, and that’s why I’ll care for yours with the same love, patience and attention that I give my own. Whether your companion barks, purrs, hops or chirps, my goal is always the same: to make them feel safe, loved and happy while you’re away. ❤️🐾 My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine whenever possible. I believe pets feel happiest when their daily routine stays as normal as possible, so I’ll make sure they get the care, attention and companionship they’re used to. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight care, I’ll be fully present and focused on making them feel safe, comfortable and loved. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I never take that responsibility lightly. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and medication to walks, playtime and any special routines. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality, because every animal is different. Some want to play all day, while others just want a quiet cuddle, and I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most comfortable. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you’ll always know how your furry family member is doing.

About: Hello! My name is Marcia, and with me, your pet gets real attention. I work exclusively as a Pet Sitter, which means I have 100% of my time and focus dedicated to your furry friend. I don't split my attention – he or she is my priority while under my care. Every animal is unique – with their own personality, fears, quirks, and way of loving. That's why I believe care should also be personalized. I respect the routine they already know, their schedules, their limits, and even their quiet moments. My experience comes from childhood: I grew up in my father's pet shop, surrounded by dogs and cats. Later, I cared for felines in their owners' homes and learned firsthand that trust is built through presence, patience, and lots of affection. My commitment is to offer safety, well-being, and warmth – so you can feel at ease and your pet feels welcomed with me. Because they deserve more than just a quick check-in. They deserve real care. And that's exactly what I offer. 🐾 I work exclusively as a Pet Sitter and have full availability during the week, weekends, and holidays. With me, you don't need to worry about schedules — the initial meeting and visits to your best friend happen on the days and times that are most convenient for you. I offer my services exclusively in the pet owner's home, as this provides the most comfort and safety for the animal. Before the first visit, I schedule a meet-and-greet to learn their routine, medications, and preferences. During each visit, I follow their routine to the letter — feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, and plenty of affection. I'm attentive to signs of stress and know when to give space or offer comfort. I keep the home safe and communicate daily with updates, photos, and videos. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own — with patience, respect, and genuine love.

As a student nurse in my final year , I am responsible, patient, and dependable, with experience remaining calm in different situations. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime or simply companionship, I will treat them as if they were my own and provide regular updates and photos for your peace of mind. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and Walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for last-minute bookings for Dog Walking. With 904 Walkers in Dublin, 35% respond to messages in under 5 minutes.

Many sitters keep their calendars updated in real time and you can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care in the next 24 hours, you can look for sitters with a 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
