About: I grew up surrounded by dogs in my family. Since I moved abroad 5 years ago was not able yet to have a dog here in Ireland due also to no full time availability as I work on site 5 days a week and don’t want to leave a dog alone all day. Free mostly evenings or weekends. Free to give some love and help to give some walks. Might be flexible into other days/request upon review I want the dog to feel safe and happy. Dogs see souls like humans being can’t. Dogs are honestly the real humans best friend.

About: Providing flexible and regular dog walking and sitting (dogs from one family only per walk and stay ❤️) in Donabate and surrounding area. New to this app (profile approved as of Aug 14 2026), but have nice reviews in the Donabate Facebook Group. Life long love of dogs. I'm full time at home and my three children are in school so I have plenty of time to provide one one one attention to your dog. I can walk doggies solo between 9am and 1pm or so midweek, and also at flexible times at the weekends. After school midweek the children may be walking with me 🤗. I provide stays in my home in a family environment also. I have a medium sized well fenced back garden with grass. We don't own a pet of our own yet, but am well experienced with dogs, and I grew up in a house with a champion trained dog who did Kennel Club competitions! Your dog will become a part of our family during their stay. Sleeping arrangements depend on what the dog is used to, and they are welcome upstairs in our house. Dogs are also allowed on the couches if that is what they are used to. Our estate is adjacent to an estuary park so there will always be plenty of walks.

Pet care is not just a task in my routine, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize every day. Whether pets stay in my home or I’m caring for them in their own home, I always do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I live in a house with a private backyard, so when pets stay with me, they enjoy a clean and cozy environment, plenty of playtime, and relaxing moments in the sun. About: Hello! ♡ My name is Marguerite, and these are my two dogs, Barley Boo & Tedi Bear. Up until I had these two loves in my life, I was terrified of dogs because my sister and I had a bad experience with a dog when we were very young. When I had my two children, even though I was terrified of dogs, I understood what they meant to families, and I was always hearing how good dogs are for children. When my baby was 4, Tedi Bear came into our lives. Two and a half years later, during COVID, we had 5 pups – one of the best experiences of our lives, and of course we ended up keeping Barley Boo! I still can’t believe how differently I feel about dogs these days, and how strong my love for Barley Boo and Teddy Bear is. I’ve never been comfortable leaving my dogs in a kennel. I’m very lucky to have a wonderful dog minder, Mick, who I completely trust, but he is always booked up months in advance. For a long time now I’ve been saying that I really need to find a way to work with dogs. And then I thought, why not? So here I am with Boo & Bear - The Dog Brigade! I am currently completing a dog training course with Creedons College in Cork. By the end of the course, I will be a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. I don’t intend to stop there either; I fully intend to educate myself and learn as much as I can into the canine world just stopping there. I know what it feels like to leave your dogs when you have to go to work, go away on holidays, or simply can’t be with them. For me, the ultimate feeling of trust is leaving your children with your Mammy. That’s the feeling I want every dog owner to have when they leave their dog with The Dog Brigade. I want you to be able to walk away and think: “They’re okay. They’re happy. They’re loved. I don’t need to worry.” Because at The Dog Brigade, the love we have for Boo & Bear is the love we will have for yours. Whether you need someone to look after your dog while you're at work, somewhere wonderful for them to stay while you're on holiday, help with a new puppy, a great adventure for the day, or even someone to bring your best friend along to an important family occasion — I’m here to make life easier for you and more exciting for them. The Dog Brigade is our full-time venture, so we’re here for your doggos 7 days a week! Days with us are all about walks, adventures, playtime and plenty of cuddles, with lots of rest time in between. Whether you’re working, travelling or just have a busy day, you can relax knowing your best friend is safe and happy ❤️. At The Dog Brigade, your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness come first. Your dogs are welcomed into our home as part of the family, with plenty of time to rest and relax between walks and adventures. We care for your best friends just as we care for our own – with love, patience, attention and, most importantly, a safe and happy environment 🙌🦮❤️. For us, the ultimate feeling of trust is leaving your children with your Mammy. That’s the feeling I want every dog owner to have when they leave their dog with The Dog Brigade.

About: Taking care of pets is much more than just a job for me — it’s something I do with all my heart. I have three dogs and a cat, so I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy to spend time with them, care for them, play, and make sure they’re happy and healthy. I have experience administering medicines and caring for both puppies and older animals, which makes me confident in handling pets of all ages. I can walk them for up to 30 minutes and send daily updates (three times a day for overnight care). My schedule is flexible, and I’m available every day if needed. I’m comfortable with pets of all personalities and behavior types. Caring for animals is a responsibility I take very seriously because every pet is part of a family, and I treat each one as if they were my own. I worked as a pharmacist in a veterinary pharmacy, my sister is a veterinarian, and my family now has more than 20 dogs — so a love for animals truly runs in our blood. Working with pets is more than a job for me; it’s something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. I’m fully flexible and can provide pet care anytime, anywhere in Dublin, including overnight stays during weekdays and weekends, ensuring your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. I can send photos and videos of visits or walks, administer medications, and follow all specific care instructions or rules to ensure your pet’s well-being.
About: I’m very empathetic and can pick up on dogs emotions as I’ve had a dog since I was 10 years old. I’m reliable and committed to understanding pet care. I notice different body language and routines and especially health needs. I’m very patient and attentive and I love animals and would love to do it as a job At the moment I do two days in college which are Thursday 9:30-1:30 and Friday 9:30-11:30am. I work doing events and it varies with hours a lot but I would like to do this job and fit it into my daily routine as it’s something more suited to my personality. I’ve been caring for my dog, a 14 year old parson russel terrier since I was 10 years old. Over the years ive handled everything from daily walks and feeding to understanding their changing needs as they’ve gotten older. I make sure he gets plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and love while keeping up with health concerns and vet visits. Caring for my dog Teddy who is now senior has taught me how to adapt to different routines and patience. I spend all of my time with my dog when I’m home and treat him like my bestfriend

About: I've had dogs since the day I was born! Never less than 4 in the house at all times, meaning I know a thing or two about how to take care of them :) I have been intermittently dog-sitting and dog-walking in Cork and Dublin, but am now looking to do it more regularly! I'm currently working part-time so I'll have plenty of time to care for your babies! When I do have work in the middle of the day, I'll communicate regularly about how and when I'll be able to see your dogs. I am comfortable with all sorts of dogs and have extensive experience with anxious/reactive dogs, meaning I can provide a safe environment for dogs of all sort.
About: We offer complete, reliable care with total respect for your home and your pets. We have extensive experience looking after all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to farm animals and exotics (including birds, rodents, and reptiles). We're fully confident in administering oral medications, strictly following routines, and I have a great 'green thumb' for keeping your plants thriving. Leave your home and your pets in safe, responsible hands! We’re available to look after animals all the day! We have full availability during weeks and weekends to feed, walk, and play with your pet. I will visit your home to care for your pet in the environment they already know and trust. I guarantee safety, respect for your routine, and lots of love.
About: I’ve adored dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up around them at home. Since childhood, neighbours and friends have trusted me to look after their dogs. This includes walking, feeding, and playing with them while they’re away. I really enjoy walking, sometimes covering up to 15km a day, so I’m always happy to give dogs the exercise they need. I pay close attention to each dog’s energy and routine, whether they’re a boisterous puppy needing a good run or an older dog who just wants calm company, and make sure they’re happy and comfortable the whole time I’m caring for them. I currently work freelance in film and TV, so my schedule varies but I’m often available on weekdays as well as weekends, especially with advance notice. This flexibility means I can offer generous, unrushed visits, including longer walks, since I really enjoy walking and often cover up to 15km a day. I don’t currently own any pets of my own, so your pet would have my full attention with no other animals to compete for it. I live close to several parks, which is ideal for regular walks and giving dogs plenty of space to run and explore safely.

About: Hi there! My name is Daniel, and I am a caring, patient, and dedicated pet lover. I’ve always had a huge passion for all kinds of animals, and I currently have two lovely cats of my own at home! Because of that, I truly understand how important our furry family members are and how much love and attention they need. Whether your dog needs an active walk or some gentle companionship, you can count on me to be attentive, reliable, and patient with them. I treat every pet as if they were my own. Let’s make sure your four-legged best friend has a wonderful and safe time! I am a dedicated pet sitter with a flexible schedule, currently studying weekday mornings until 12:10 PM. This leaves my afternoons, evenings, and weekends completely free to give your pets the active care, attention, and exercise they need. As a true animal lover, I treat every pet like family. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk to burn off some afternoon energy or your cat needs loving drop-in visits while you are away, you can rely on me to be punctual, responsible, and attentive. I make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and well-cared-for!
About: I’ve had pets all my life, and that has taught me to treat them as my best friends. I've worked as a pet sitter in Brazil and I’ve been working with, in Dublin for 2 years. I speak English fluently and I've got all the skills to make sure pet owners have a smooth and easy-going experience. I think the most important thing for a good pet sitter is to love animals and understand their individual needs. They need our care and attention, and should be treated as our best friends. Over the last 2 years working as a pet sitter in Dublin, most of the animals I looked after were cats. I get on very well with them and know how to respect each one’s temperament and personality; I believe this is important when it comes to cats. I'm pretty flexible, so we can figure out the best timetable and payment methods that work for you. I’m sure I can be your next permanent pet sitter, making your life as a tutor easier. Roberta I’m pretty flexible, so I prefer to talk about time and everything in advance, to make sure the tutors have a smooth, easygoing experience. I always heard the tutors instructions carefully and adapt all to the needs of each pet. I reckon that each pet has very specific needs, so it’s more important to me to heard the tutor so I can adapt myself to provide an easy and trustworthy experience.
About: I’m a dedicated animal lover with a huge passion for pets! Back home in Brazil, I have three wonderful dogs of my own who mean the world to me. I offer reliable care, fun walks, and plenty of attention to keep every pet happy, safe, and comfortable. I treat every animal with the exact same love and dedication I give to my own! I study in the morning, so I am fully available every day from 12:00 PM onwards, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I have plenty of time to dedicate to walking, feeding, and playing with your pets! As a dog owner with years of experience caring for pets, safety and love are my top priorities. I treat every animal as my own, making sure they stay safe, supervised, comfortable, and happy in a calm and clean environment.
About: I have 25+ years of experience providing pet services and have been caring for animals all my life. Brought up with cats, horses, dogs, guinea pigs, chickens and cows, I am comfortable with the varying personalities and needs of every pet I take care of, including the administration of medication. Throughout my time as a volunteer in Africa, I had the honor of leading a vaccination campaign that benefited over 1,400 animals and 110+ farmers and their families. Working hands-on with livestock owners and veterinarians to improve animal health strengthened my belief in patience, attentiveness, and the importance of routine care for the holistic health of animals. I am also a keen gardener and beekeeper, which adds to my love of spending time outdoors and tending to living things. Growing up on a farm, I understand the importance of caring for animals. I will treat your animal(s) as if they were my own, with the love and care I would expect someone to do for mine. I’m able to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether it’s cuddle breaks or outdoor play in the yard, your pet will never feel alone or overlooked. Their needs are part of my schedule, not an afterthought—so you can feel confident they’re getting consistent love and care every step of the way. Your pets are happiest in the place they know best, so I’m happy to care for them in the comfort of their own home. I’ll keep their usual routines as consistent as possible, from mealtimes and walks to playtime, cuddles, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing with their favourite toys, or simply relaxing on the sofa, I’ll take the time to get to know their personality and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Staying in their own home also means they can enjoy their familiar surroundings, favourite sleeping spots, and all the little comforts they’re used to. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pets—by giving them the love, care, and companionship they’re accustomed to, right where they feel most at home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Rush. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.

Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
