About: I am patient and calm and i had loved being around animals since i was a little kid. I’ll be so happy to make company to your pet and give them love and attention. I had a senior cat and a senior dog so I have experience with giving pills and special medication with kindness and affection. I am currently studying on the morning during the week, so I have the rest of the day and all of the weekends free to stay with your pet! Unfortunately, the real estate agency does not allow pets in my house, but I will be happy to take care of your pet in your house providing attention, affection, food, bath if necessary, walks, playing games and everything he needs with a lot of love!

About: Hi, I’m Charlotte! Every summer, I house-sit and care for my auntie’s five dogs, and her kitten, as well as minding my own dog This has given me extensive hands-on experience with multi-pet households, varied energy levels, and sensitive personalities. I’m completely comfortable administering oral medications, sticking strictly to feeding routines/ dietry needs (like coeliac pets). I'm very versatile, giving nervous/elderly pets the quiet, patient care they need to feel safe or giving younger dogs the energetic and hands-on attention/play time they need. For exercise, I typically offer tailored 30-to-60-minute walks depending on your dog’s stamina. I also know how important it is to handle alone time carefully; I keep any brief absences to a minimum (if applicable) and always make sure pets are well-exercised, relaxed, and settled before I leave the house. Whether your pet needs active outdoor time, gentle special care, or just warm companionship, I treat every animal like family. I'll always keep you updated with regular photos and notes so you have complete peace of mind while you're away! I’m a student living right in Maynooth, which gives me great flexibility! Since I live locally, I can pop home or do drop-ins between lectures during my longer midday breaks. I have full availability in the mornings and evenings for home visits and dropins. I also drive, making travel to and from your home quick, easy, and reliable. Safety and proper structure are my top priorities. I have extensive experience managing complex household dynamics, including caring for my auntie’s farm pets. This involves safely managing and separating multiple groups of dogs, keeping track of strict individual dietary needs, and comfortably handling multi-pet environments with both dogs and cats. Since I drive, I can easily manage drop-ins and home visits safely and efficiently, ensuring every pet feels secure, properly fed, and well cared for in their own environment.

About: Hello! My name is Olivia Smith, I have experience in dog/ cat sitting, and as a pet owner myself I know how tough it can be to leave our four-legged friends at home, which is why I cater my sitting services to each pet. Whether it be frequent playtime with energetic cats, or some extra attention with senior dogs. I love all animals and know each one can have their own quirky personality and do everything I can to make their time without their person as easy as can be. I have plenty of availability during the weekdays, so even if you need someone to pop in during the day to give some extra snuggles, i’ll be able to help! I know everyone has different rules in their homes, so if you have any preferences or requirements please let me know. Each animal has their own routine and I would love to keep that routine consistent as much as possible for your pet’s enjoyment. I can do feedings, medications, walks, playtime and enrichment. If you need extra help around the house i’d be happy to tidy the kitchen or any areas where the animals might roam.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs since I was 11 years old. Growing up with my own dog taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each dog's unique personality and needs. In addition to caring for my own dog, I've also looked after friends' dogs, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and providing companionship while their owners were away. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I'm reliable, patient, and attentive, and I enjoy spending time outdoors, making walks both fun and engaging. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby for company, I'm happy to adapt to their routine and needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I work a standard 9–5 schedule, primarily from home, which gives me flexibility throughout the day to provide care and attention to pets. I can often adjust my schedule to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, or sitting requests, and I'm generally available during evenings and weekends as well. I always aim to work with owners to find arrangements that suit both their needs and their pet's routine. If caring for pets in my apartment, I ensure the environment is safe, clean, and comfortable at all times. The space is kept free of hazards such as exposed food, toxic items, or anything that could be unsafe for curious dogs. Doors and windows are secured to prevent any chance of escape. Because I work from home, I’m able to supervise pets throughout the day and provide regular attention, toilet breaks, and companionship. I also live near suitable walking areas, which allows for safe and consistent exercise. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and can accommodate crate routines or specific house rules where needed to help pets feel comfortable and settled in a familiar structure.

About: When your dog stays with us, they're getting two dedicated carers rather than one. My sister Bridget and I live together and are lifelong dog lovers with over 15 years' experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. We have experience with puppies, senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, and we're comfortable administering medication when required. We share our home with our own dog, Louie, and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with a beloved family member. Because there are two of us involved in your dog's care, they'll benefit from plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout their stay. We know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so we'll care for them as if they were one of our own: keeping them safe, happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine. My sister Bridget and I live together and both help care for the dogs staying with us, with flexible work schedules, there is almost always one of us home during the day. Your dog's safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We live in a quiet area with easy access outside and are fortunate to have several great parks and walking routes nearby. We never let dogs off lead unless we've discussed it with the owner and are completely confident in their recall. We're happy to follow your dog's existing routine and accommodate any preferences, quirks, dietary requirements, or medical needs to help them feel comfortable and secure while you're away.

“Kylah is a lovely young lady in every sense. She minded Bob, and was great sending update photos. I would highly recommend her, and look forward to our next minding session. Thanks Kylah x”

About: Have taken care of pets for many years mainly cats, hamsters and guinea pigs with from time to time minding dogs such as red setters, beagles and smaller dogs. Besides the "regular" kind of animals I have also minded fishes and I have a deep interest in sugar gliders and other exotic pets I'm a masters student, so I have plenty of time to mind, check-up or walk the pets. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests. The pets safety and well-being are my top priorities. If there are any medications or strict guidelines to follow be assured that I don't mind take extra time or steps to ensure the comfort and peace of mind of both owners and pets alike. There is a very big park/walking route that can be adapted to suit all levels of energy your pet may have. Generally I wouldn't not take cats and dogs at the same time, unless they were siblings and were coming together. I wouldn't take more than 3 dogs at a time. As for cats I can accommodate maximum 4 cats depending on their personalities and willingness to be around other cats. In regards to exotic pets, it would depend and the type of pet.
“Emma was fabulous with our two dogs who can be demanding at times! She waa flexible and accommodating. Always on time and provided the best care..I would highly recommended her and hope to avail of her services again in the future.”

I'll play with them, we'll go for walks, and we'll have a great time. I can care the pets in the owner’s home. I can go to your home on the weekends. Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
House sitters can stay overnight in your home and care for your pets according to the routine you agree on before the booking.
Depending on your pets’ needs, this may include feeding, walks, play, companionship, medication, providing toilet or litter-box care, and keeping their usual schedule. Some sitters may also agree to light household tasks, such as collecting mail, watering plants, or putting bins out, but these are not automatically included.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss the sitter’s overnight schedule, how long your pets can comfortably be left alone, arrival and departure times, update preferences, and all tasks you would like to arrange. Confirm the agreed responsibilities through the Rover app before booking.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maynooth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
