“I would highly recommend Rebecca to look after your kitties. She sent updates on how they were with pictures. There was no issues with administration of medication to one of my cats. The house was clean and tidy on my return. I would 100% rebook Rebecca! ”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs since I was 11 years old. Growing up with my own dog taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each dog's unique personality and needs. In addition to caring for my own dog, I've also looked after friends' dogs, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and providing companionship while their owners were away. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I'm reliable, patient, and attentive, and I enjoy spending time outdoors, making walks both fun and engaging. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby for company, I'm happy to adapt to their routine and needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I work a standard 9–5 schedule, primarily from home, which gives me flexibility throughout the day to provide care and attention to pets. I can often adjust my schedule to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, or sitting requests, and I'm generally available during evenings and weekends as well. I always aim to work with owners to find arrangements that suit both their needs and their pet's routine. If caring for pets in my apartment, I ensure the environment is safe, clean, and comfortable at all times. The space is kept free of hazards such as exposed food, toxic items, or anything that could be unsafe for curious dogs. Doors and windows are secured to prevent any chance of escape. Because I work from home, I’m able to supervise pets throughout the day and provide regular attention, toilet breaks, and companionship. I also live near suitable walking areas, which allows for safe and consistent exercise. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and can accommodate crate routines or specific house rules where needed to help pets feel comfortable and settled in a familiar structure.

About: Hi there! I’m a certified veterinarian from Mexico who recently moved to Ireland in June 2026. Back home, my life always revolved around animals—from dogs and cats to rabbits and fish. Right now, my beloved cat is staying with my parents, and because I miss her and the daily joy that pets bring into a home, I decided to join Pawshake. For me, this is not just a job; it is a way to fill my heart while providing the absolute best care for your best friend. 🩺 Professional Veterinary Background I have always been deeply committed to animal welfare, which led me to study Veterinary Medicine. I graduated in 2020, and since then, I have worked continuously in veterinary hospitals and clinics. What this means for your pet: I have extensive experience in animal health, monitoring behavior, and recognizing subtle signs of stress or discomfort. Specialized Care: If your pet is a senior, has chronic medical conditions, or requires specific medication (oral, injections, etc.), they will be in the safest hands possible. I am fully trained to handle medical needs with the utmost gentleness and precision. 🕊️ My Lifelong Bond with Dogs Throughout my life, I have given my heart to four beautiful dogs, most of whom were rescued from the streets. They taught me everything I know about unconditional love, patience, and senior pet care: Pirata: A beautiful French Poodle mix who was gifted to me by my grandfather when I was just 3 years old; he lived a long, happy life until the age of 18. Buba: A sweet Labrador who was with us until she was 12. Dokho: A brave companion who lived to be 15, whom I lovingly cared for through his heart and liver failure. Pam: A Labrador who completely changed my life and passed away two years ago at age 12 due to chronic kidney disease. Losing Pam was heartbreaking, and because I knew I wanted to travel and explore the world, I chose not to get another dog of my own until I fully settle down. Caring for your pet will truly bring that missing joy back into my life. 🏡 What I Offer I will treat your pet exactly as if they were my own—with unconditional love, respect, and deep professional attention. Whether it is a high-energy walk, keeping up with their strict feeding schedules, or simply providing a calm, affectionate presence so they don't feel lonely, I am here for them. Since I am highly organized and communicative, you can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your furry family member is being looked after by a professional who genuinely cares. I can't wait to meet your pet and give them a home away from home! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or special requirements. 🐕✨ My weekly routine is highly structured and predictable, making it easy to provide consistent, quality care. I study in the mornings, which keeps my schedule very stable. Once my classes are over, I organize my time so that I have my afternoons completely free to be at home, relaxing and keeping the pets company. Since I love exercising and going for daily walks, I absolutely enjoy incorporating dog walks into my active routine—it's the perfect match! This way, I can ensure the dogs get plenty of outdoor exercise and fun, while still enjoying a calm, attentive, and cozy environment once we are back home. In my home: I live in a cozy, smaller apartment, so I make sure to compensate for the space by keeping the dogs active outdoors. If your pet stays with me, I will adjust my schedule to take them out for more frequent walks and exercise. This way, they can burn off their energy outside and enjoy a calm, relaxed, and comfortable environment once we are back home. In the owner's home: If you prefer me to care for your pet in their own home, my absolute priority is to respect and maintain their exact daily routine. I know how important stability is for pets, so I will strictly follow their usual feeding, walking, and playtime schedules. This ensures they feel completely comfortable, safe, and happy in their familiar environment, making your time away as stress-free as possible for them.

About: Have taken care of pets for many years mainly cats, hamsters and guinea pigs with from time to time minding dogs such as red setters, beagles and smaller dogs. Besides the "regular" kind of animals I have also minded fishes and I have a deep interest in sugar gliders and other exotic pets I'm a masters student, so I have plenty of time to mind, check-up or walk the pets. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests. The pets safety and well-being are my top priorities. If there are any medications or strict guidelines to follow be assured that I don't mind take extra time or steps to ensure the comfort and peace of mind of both owners and pets alike. There is a very big park/walking route that can be adapted to suit all levels of energy your pet may have. Generally I wouldn't not take cats and dogs at the same time, unless they were siblings and were coming together. I wouldn't take more than 3 dogs at a time. As for cats I can accommodate maximum 4 cats depending on their personalities and willingness to be around other cats. In regards to exotic pets, it would depend and the type of pet.

About: I have lifelong experience caring for pets, as I have always had animals at home, including both cats and dogs. Since I was young, animals have been part of my daily life, which helped me develop a deep sense of responsibility, affection, and respect for them. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have frequently looked after the animals of neighbors and friends, especially when they were traveling or busy. I am a caring, attentive, and patient person, always focused on the well-being, comfort, and safety of the animals under my care. My pet care skills include feeding, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, basic hygiene care, administering oral medication when needed, and giving lots of attention and affection. I am attentive to pets’ routines and behavior, and I make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable at all times. My schedule is very flexible. I work from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and I am available during all remaining hours of the day. I have full availability on weekends and I am also available on public holidays, special dates, and during holiday and vacation periods. I am available for overnight stays and extended care when needed. I am married, and during the period that I am available to care I can count on additional support, which allows me to provide even more attention and care to the pets. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for pets in my home. I live in a pet-friendly house with a garden, where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed. I have a 2-year-old neutered cat who is used to being around dogs and lives peacefully with them.

About: I'm Irish, 34 + a lover of animals. It's this love for animals which had me spend a lot of time on farms in recent years has had me pet sit a lot. I also like to have the quiet of a place to myself and to be in new environments. So, I have become very experienced with pet sitting + have a strong track record with 39 out of 40 5-star reviews on Trusted House Sitters. I take seriously the responsibility of looking after people's animals, as well as their home. My healthy + steady lifestyle is one that is well suited to pet sitting, with the animals experiencing the benefits of that. The daily routines (waking early, dog walks etc) then fit in well for me. It has been interesting to meet many different characters + breeds along the way + it definitely has a heart opening effect. I am self-employed + study a bit online, fitting everything in with the requirements of the pet sits I do. ( I am also available for paid garden work/yard work/odd jobs/admin, so feel free to enquire). Because I like to live in a clean and tidy space, you can expect your home to be returned to you like that. I don't drink alcohol or smoke so that wouldn't be in the picture. Ready to do a good job. Currently I am available daily and have a flexible schedule to work with, meaning that there is nothing that would clash with the pet sitting. I maintain the routine that the dogs and/or cats are familiar with, while providing a calm environment for the pets in the comfort of their own home.

About: I'm a part-time writer who's originally from the USA but has lived in Ireland for close to four decades. I grew up in a house full of dogs, from collies to Saint Bernards, and learned to handle various dogs as a paperboy. Today I live in Drumcondra in central Dublin with partner Dawn and 16-year-old son Harry. Our home is missing our beloved Fonzie, our rescue dog of 17 years, who passed away in 2024. I've been thinking about taking up dog walking/boarding ever since, in part because I'm an avid walker (and no longer an avid writer!). On my near-daily walks I'm always talking to fellow hikers with dogs, and it just seems a missed opportunity not to have a dog with me, too. So I'm open to tailoring walks that really suit your dog, even daylong adventures with a picnic somewhere nice in the middle. If your dog would be staying overnight, or longer, it'll be even better, because my partner Dawn is the true dog fanatic in the family. It'll be nonstop cuddles once she's home. One key commitment from me is that your dog will feel at home, in a family environment, and will never be left alone. That includes nighttime, when I'll be sleeping in the living room nearby your dog (who I am betting will get a particularly good night's sleep, despite the unfamiliar environment, given all the exercise!). Because of our experience caring for Fonzie, who had mobility issues in his final years, I've also got a soft spot for looking after older dogs. I certainly won't be pushing your dog to walk more than he or she wants. We'll make sure the activity level/duration is appropriate for age, breed and overall health, following your own instructions closely. I'm a freelance writer, with the freedom to pick (or skip) assignments given that I'm approaching retirement age and frankly more interested in getting out for my own daily walk! If your dog is with me, I won't be getting distracted by work. We'll just walk somewhere nice and meet some other dogs along the way. In my home, your dog will be encouraged to sleep on a dog bed in the living room, but I'm not precious. We do have a comfy and well-worn leather sofa that Fonzie certainly preferred and your dog will be welcome to it, if the dog bed doesn't appeal. I'll stay overnight in the living room with your dog. I'll want to keep my visitor company and ensure there's no wimpering. For any quick potty breaks, we have parkland directly outside our home, so we'll go out at night and first thing in the morning, get some food, and then perhaps head out for a longer walk with snacks in the backpack. If you need me to look after your dog overnight in your own home, I'll simply follow whatever your instructions are. I'm a man of simple tastes, so you won't need to make any special accommodations for me.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had many years of hands-on experience looking after dogs, including managing daily routines, exercise, play, socialisation and general care. I’ve also been closely involved in a dog’s professional training, which gave me valuable practical knowledge about canine behaviour, communication, boundaries, basic obedience and positive reinforcement. This experience taught me how important patience, consistency and calm communication are when caring for dogs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and larger breeds, and I enjoy keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. I also understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, so I always adapt my approach to their individual temperament, energy level and routine. I know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog with someone else. I treat every dog in my care with patience, attention and affection, while following their usual routine and their owner’s instructions as closely as possible. My goal is simple: for every dog to feel safe, happy and comfortable while they’re in my care. I study English Monday to Friday from 3:45pm to 5pm, so I’m available before and after my classes. I’m also very flexible on weekends and can adapt to different pet care schedules depending on the service needed. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment for pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of care, exercise and companionship.

About: Dogs trained into my environment as soon as they arrive. I take senior dogs and can administer injections and oral medication. **Absolutely NO young Un-neutered males** Hi, I am an experienced pet owner, I currently have one 16 year old cat who is dog and cat friendly. I got him and his sister as rescues from the DSPCA when they were just 1 year old. I had been fostering dogs with the DSPCA for a few years but no longer do that now. I offer special care for older dogs, I can give injections and medications from that experience. I have a good sized back garden, there are 3 local parks (2 have dog parks in them) and pets are allowed anywhere in the house. Generally I will take your dog out for two long walks per day and two pee strolls depending on their needs and capabilities. Your cats will do whatever they want, like all cats, they will have the run of upstairs and have a dedicated room for their beds and food.

To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Trim choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
