Don’t allow the pets on the sofa etc. if you have a schedule for walks and feeding times it will be followed. Rest assured your pet will be in loving hands!

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and my mum is a vet specialising in animal behaviour, so I learned a lot from her. I fully raised my own dog for 8 years, with my mum's guidance, and took him everywhere with me, including trips around Poland and various classes. I've also helped friends train their dogs and teach them tricks. Right now I live with two dogs and help with their care, training, play and exercise. I'm also very comfortable with cats of all ages, including seniors and cats on medication. I work under 30 hours per week, so I have plenty of time for pets. I'm free on weekdays between 9:30 and 12:00 and again after 16:00, and I'm also available on weekends. I'm happy to be flexible and adjust visits to your pet's routine. I always make sure your pet feels safe and relaxed: I watch for signs of stress, discomfort or pain and adjust to their needs. I stick to the owner's routine for feeding, walks and medication, keep the home tidy, and send regular photo updates. If anything seems wrong, I contact the owner and, if needed, the vet right away (I don't own a car, but I have a driving licence, 5 years of driving experience and drive daily for work, so I can safely transport pets).
“Emilia was super punctual and reliable, she was there on time and Verso loved her. I could see them playing, she was very tender with him, gave him his space and approached him carefully, it was super sweet. I'll definitely recommend Emilia, thank you for looking after our love one.”

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was 15 when I adopted my first dog. Since then, I've looked after my own pets and the pets of my family and friends when they're traveling. Here in Dublin I clean a house with two cats, and they are lovely. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets and provide what they need. I'm available weekly mornings and evenings, I'm available some afternoons, on weekends I can in the early morning. I always follow the guidelines given by the pet owners, as each animal has its own particular needs. I am a patient and loving pet sitter committed to providing the highest level of care, comfort, and safety.

“Tania is an excellent cat sitter. She looked after aki so well during my holidays. Tania communicates well and gave updates of my cat everyday. Aki loves Tania. I felt so peaceful leaving aki under her care. She took care of her like her own cat. Booked her again 2 time already. Highly recommend Tania 👌 ”

About: I'm Irish, 34 + a lover of animals. It's this love for animals which had me spend a lot of time on farms in recent years has had me pet sit a lot. I also like to have the quiet of a place to myself and to be in new environments. So, I have become very experienced with pet sitting + have a strong track record with 39 out of 40 5-star reviews on Trusted House Sitters. I take seriously the responsibility of looking after people's animals, as well as their home. My healthy + steady lifestyle is one that is well suited to pet sitting, with the animals experiencing the benefits of that. The daily routines (waking early, dog walks etc) then fit in well for me. It has been interesting to meet many different characters + breeds along the way + it definitely has a heart opening effect. I am self-employed + study a bit online, fitting everything in with the requirements of the pet sits I do. ( I am also available for paid garden work/yard work/odd jobs/admin, so feel free to enquire). Because I like to live in a clean and tidy space, you can expect your home to be returned to you like that. I don't drink alcohol or smoke so that wouldn't be in the picture. Ready to do a good job. Currently I am available daily and have a flexible schedule to work with, meaning that there is nothing that would clash with the pet sitting. I maintain the routine that the dogs and/or cats are familiar with, while providing a calm environment for the pets in the comfort of their own home.
“Ya is absolutely a fantastic sitter, she was sending me photos and videos, making me feel calm- it was my first time leaving Peppa. Ya was making food for Peppa, playing with her, cleaning her litter box. Ya stayed in my place, she left it spotless. I can’t recommend Ya high enough, she is trustworthy and very responsible. I’ll definitely will be contacting Ya again hoping she’ll look after Peppa when I’m away🩷”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and have loved animals for as long as I can remember! Since moving for Uni I have missed my dogs so much so I am so excited to take care of some new adorable fur babies and help out you and your families! I go to Uni full time but also live on campus so I am able to take care of your pets at any time I am not in classes! I am available full days on weekends and all evenings and early mornings throughout the week! Afternoons depend on the day and when I have my coursework however it is flexible and is never more than a few hours from around 11-3:30. As I have had dogs for so long as well as taken care of animals more formally through agencies such as this I feel extremely comfortable with most breeds and sizes! I also have experience with puppies as one of my dogs has had multiple litters herself. Along with that I have taken care of elderly dogs who required additional care as well, things like diaper changes and pill administration are tasks that I am comfortable with!

About: I have around two years of experience caring for my own cat and dog. Living with pets has taught me to be patient, gentle and attentive to their individual personalities and needs. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for, and I am happy to follow each owner's routine and instructions. I currently work part-time, so I have flexibility in my schedule for pet care. I am available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting, and I can discuss specific times with each owner. I have a secure fenced yard where dogs can enjoy some safe outdoor time and play. I also have a variety of balls and toys for playtime. I always follow each owner's instructions about indoor and outdoor. Make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and supervised.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had many years of hands-on experience looking after dogs, including managing daily routines, exercise, play, socialisation and general care. I’ve also been closely involved in a dog’s professional training, which gave me valuable practical knowledge about canine behaviour, communication, boundaries, basic obedience and positive reinforcement. This experience taught me how important patience, consistency and calm communication are when caring for dogs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and larger breeds, and I enjoy keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. I also understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, so I always adapt my approach to their individual temperament, energy level and routine. I know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog with someone else. I treat every dog in my care with patience, attention and affection, while following their usual routine and their owner’s instructions as closely as possible. My goal is simple: for every dog to feel safe, happy and comfortable while they’re in my care. I study English Monday to Friday from 3:45pm to 5pm, so I’m available before and after my classes. I’m also very flexible on weekends and can adapt to different pet care schedules depending on the service needed. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment for pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of care, exercise and companionship.

I’m available for boardings during the njght and at weekends and on weekdays anytime between 8am and 3pm. If scheduled in advance, I can also stay overnight for one or few nights :) I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, medication, and routines. I make sure the home environment is secure by checking doors, gates, and any potential hazards before and after walks.
About: I’ve had pets all my life, and that has taught me to treat them as my best friends. I've worked as a pet sitter in Brazil and I’ve been working with, in Dublin for 2 years. I speak English fluently and I've got all the skills to make sure pet owners have a smooth and easy-going experience. I think the most important thing for a good pet sitter is to love animals and understand their individual needs. They need our care and attention, and should be treated as our best friends. Over the last 2 years working as a pet sitter in Dublin, most of the animals I looked after were cats. I get on very well with them and know how to respect each one’s temperament and personality; I believe this is important when it comes to cats. I'm pretty flexible, so we can figure out the best timetable and payment methods that work for you. I’m sure I can be your next permanent pet sitter, making your life as a tutor easier. Roberta I’m pretty flexible, so I prefer to talk about time and everything in advance, to make sure the tutors have a smooth, easygoing experience. I always heard the tutors instructions carefully and adapt all to the needs of each pet. I reckon that each pet has very specific needs, so it’s more important to me to heard the tutor so I can adapt myself to provide an easy and trustworthy experience.

Working a hybrid job means I can provide companionship and supervision during the day when I’m working from home, as well as lunchtime and evening walks. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I take the time to get to know each pet, stick to their usual routine, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work a hybrid job, which means I’m available to care for your pets during the day when I’m working from home. The average cost for Cat Sitting in Ashbourne on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.
Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Ashbourne pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitter’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity verification, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or smart doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
