About: I would rescue animals such as dogs and cats and foster them to new homes, as well as growing up surrounded by pets. I take a lot of pride in keeping an eye on animals, going as far as buying and using GPS trackers for my own animals. I work part time currently until summer hours kick in, meaning I have plenty of time during weekdays and evenings to visit furry friends, bring them for walks, take them out for toilet runs and play with them. In my own house we have a walled yard with a gate that’s always closed shut for the dogs, my cats have tracking GPS collars so we are able to monitor their locations 24/7 but have a curfew of 6 pm at the latest. At others houses I ensure any possible exits are closed off and will stay with the animal at all times.

About: Ive had dogs ever since I was young, I have only had a cat a year so have only learnt. I have minded my families and friends pets since I was 16, I am now 19, when they needed, some for shorter periods and others for longer. I love all animals and take really good care of my own so I know I would be confident in ensuring others that I can do the same for them and their pets. I am done college now for the summer so I have a lot of free time, I work a part time job on the weekends, which requires me to be in early on weekends but I do finish early also. A usual shift for me is 6am - 2pm leaving me a whole afternoon to care, play and walk with pets. I care for others pets by making sure they are fed, have fresh water, and get regular exercise and attention. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding times, routines, and any special care if needed. I also keep their environment clean, ensure they feel safe and comfortable, and spend time playing with them. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress.

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover and have plenty of hands on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up having dogs of my own, so looking after pets and making sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for has always been a natural part of my life. I currently have a cat of my own and regularly help care for my grandparents’ cats and dogs, as well as my sister’s dog. I’ve also helped neighbours with pet sitting and looking after their animals when they’ve been away or needed an extra hand. Through this, I’ve had experience caring for different pets with their own personalities, needs and routines. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, keeping pets company and following their usual routines. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and settled when their owners aren’t around, so I always take the time to get to know them and make sure they get plenty of attention and affection. I’m reliable, patient and attentive, and I’m very happy to follow any specific instructions you have. I’d treat your pet with the same care and affection I give my own. As a secondary school teacher, I have a consistent weekly schedule and plenty of availability outside of school hours. I’m available for dog walking and drop in visits after 4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and from 1:30pm onwards on Wednesdays. At weekends, my schedule is much more flexible and I’m available throughout the day for dog walking, pet sitting, drop in visits and longer periods of care. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine wherever possible and can discuss individual needs and timings with you. I also have greater flexibility during school holidays and mid-term breaks. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and individual needs, so I always aim to make their time with me as comfortable and familiar as possible. I’m happy to follow any instructions provided by owners regarding feeding, walks, exercise, playtime and their usual daily routine. When caring for a pet in their own home, I’m very respectful of both the pet’s space and the owner’s home. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, companionship and playtime, as well as regular walks and toilet breaks where needed. I’m also happy to send regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and being well looked after. Safety is really important to me, so I’ll always follow instructions regarding leads, feeding, interactions with other animals and anything else I should be aware of. Most importantly, I’ll treat every pet I look after with the same care, patience and affection I would give my own.

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages and personalities and understand that every animal has their own routine and needs. Whether it’s energetic puppies who need lots of play and exercise, or older pets who prefer a slower pace and extra comfort, I’m happy to adapt my care to suit them. Working a hybrid job means I can provide companionship and supervision during the day when I’m working from home, as well as lunchtime and evening walks. I also offer overnight stays in your pet’s own home, helping them feel safe and relaxed in a familiar environment while you’re away. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I take the time to get to know each pet, stick to their usual routine, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work a hybrid job, which means I’m available to care for your pets during the day when I’m working from home. I can also offer lunchtime walks, evening walks after work, and overnight stays in your pet’s own home, where they can stay comfortable in familiar surroundings. Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to suit their individual routine and personality. Whether it’s walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll ensure they receive lots of love and attention. About: I have a regular job two days per week. Outside of those days, I am available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, both on weekdays and weekends. This gives me the flexibility to adapt my availability to the pet's needs and the owner's schedule. When caring for a pet in the owner's home, I follow the routine they are already familiar with. This includes feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning the litter box, playtime, companionship, and monitoring their overall wellbeing. I have two cats of my own, and I understand how important love, attention, and patience are in helping them feel safe and happy. I dedicate time to interacting with each cat according to their personality, whether that means playing, providing companionship, or simply respecting their space. I also have experience caring for cats with special needs and carefully follow any instructions provided by the owner. My goal is to ensure that every cat feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their owner is away.

About: I’ve had pets all my life, and that has taught me to treat them as my best friends. I've worked as a pet sitter in Brazil and I’ve been working with, in Dublin for 2 years. I speak English fluently and I've got all the skills to make sure pet owners have a smooth and easy-going experience. I think the most important thing for a good pet sitter is to love animals and understand their individual needs. They need our care and attention, and should be treated as our best friends. Over the last 2 years working as a pet sitter in Dublin, most of the animals I looked after were cats. I get on very well with them and know how to respect each one’s temperament and personality; I believe this is important when it comes to cats. I'm pretty flexible, so we can figure out the best timetable and payment methods that work for you. I’m sure I can be your next permanent pet sitter, making your life as a tutor easier. Roberta I’m pretty flexible, so I prefer to talk about time and everything in advance, to make sure the tutors have a smooth, easygoing experience. I always heard the tutors instructions carefully and adapt all to the needs of each pet. I reckon that each pet has very specific needs, so it’s more important to me to heard the tutor so I can adapt myself to provide an easy and trustworthy experience.

Chiara took a great care of my two cats for two days. Cats seem to be happy, no problems. I would definitely recommend Chiara as a pet sitter, and I would book her service again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Wicklow on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Wicklow pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitter’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity verification, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or smart doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
