About: I've been petsitting for the last 9 years. I started back home where I co-founded a petsitting company. I've looked after cats, dogs, birds, and even rabbits. I offer cat visits, dog walking, and in-house live-in petsitting. I work a full-time job, but I'm fully remote so I'm quite flexible with day sits and overnights. I'm also able to administer medication to both cats and dogs, and even have experience with diabetic felines (checking glucose through blood tests and administering tailored doses of insulin according to owner guidelines). I'm also super communicative with plenty of video and photo updates to share throughout the day! I work fully remotely during office hours between 9am and 5pm, with flexibility where needed. This allows me to provide constant companionship, structured feeding, and regular breaks throughout the day. I don’t work on weekends, and my partner takes care of our cats while I am away at petsits (he's also a cat lover!). I don't just respect your pet, I respect your home. I follow instructions as provided, maintain strict safety routines, and always leave your space perfectly clean and secure. I also avoid leaving personal belongings that could be a hazard, such as hair ties or small jewellery, lying around

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages and personalities and understand that every animal has their own routine and needs. Whether it’s energetic puppies who need lots of play and exercise, or older pets who prefer a slower pace and extra comfort, I’m happy to adapt my care to suit them. Working a hybrid job means I can provide companionship and supervision during the day when I’m working from home, as well as lunchtime and evening walks. I also offer overnight stays in your pet’s own home, helping them feel safe and relaxed in a familiar environment while you’re away. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I take the time to get to know each pet, stick to their usual routine, and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I work a hybrid job, which means I’m available to care for your pets during the day when I’m working from home. I can also offer lunchtime walks, evening walks after work, and overnight stays in your pet’s own home, where they can stay comfortable in familiar surroundings. Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to suit their individual routine and personality. Whether it’s walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll ensure they receive lots of love and attention. Fresh water, regular toilet breaks, and updates for owners are all part of the service, so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe hands.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had many years of hands-on experience looking after dogs, including managing daily routines, exercise, play, socialisation and general care. I’ve also been closely involved in a dog’s professional training, which gave me valuable practical knowledge about canine behaviour, communication, boundaries, basic obedience and positive reinforcement. This experience taught me how important patience, consistency and calm communication are when caring for dogs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and larger breeds, and I enjoy keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. I also understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, so I always adapt my approach to their individual temperament, energy level and routine. I know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog with someone else. I treat every dog in my care with patience, attention and affection, while following their usual routine and their owner’s instructions as closely as possible. My goal is simple: for every dog to feel safe, happy and comfortable while they’re in my care. I study English Monday to Friday from 3:45pm to 5pm, so I’m available before and after my classes. I’m also very flexible on weekends and can adapt to different pet care schedules depending on the service needed. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment for pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of care, exercise and companionship.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my cat received over the last four days. Mayara did really great. The updates, attention, and genuine affection shown throughout the stay were outstanding. I definitely recommend Mayara.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Newbridge on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Newbridge pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitter’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity verification, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or smart doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
