About: Hello, my name is Samuel, I'm great with all animals and I connect with them on a profound level. I pay close attention to details and always prioritize the well-being of any animal in my care. They hold a special place in my heart, and I wholeheartedly devote myself to their happiness and comfort. Rest assured that I will provide the best care for your beloved pets. I genuinely cherish the time spent with them. They will receive the utmost love, attention, and nurturing they deserve. At this moment, I am available full time. I am available for last minute calls when needed, but would love to establish a customer base At this moment I'm unable to provide home sitting services. About: I have grown up with dogs! I mind friends, family and neighbours dogs regularly. I walk local dogs regularly. I also volunteer to transport rescues from the pound. I do this once or twice a month. Any time with a dog is a good time 💕 I’m currently working until 3pm every day during the week . I have most school holidays off so can be available at anytime during the holidays. Some weeks I can be a bit more flexible! I am available anytime at the weekends 😊 I am happy to mind dogs in their home. I can walk any dogs as long as they are ok on the lead! I’m happy give any medications necessary 😊 I love to play, cuddle and give lots of love💕
“Barbra exceeded all my expectations when I urgently needed a dog sitter for my beloved Rylee. As a cautious dog mom, leaving her with someone other than family was a big step for me. Rylee, who can be challenging with other dogs and prone to anxiety, was not only well taken care of but thrived under Barbra's attentive care. The frequent updates, complete with pictures detailing meals, walks, and cuddle sessions, provided immense reassurance. Barbra's ability to keep me informed allowed me to relax during my trip, knowing Rylee was safe and content. Remarkably, Rylee quickly warmed up to Barbra, demonstrating an immediate comfort rarely seen. I am genuinely grateful for the exceptional care Barbra provided – she's unquestionably the best choice for pet care. I wont leave Rylee with anyone else.”

About: I’m mad about dogs and all animals, I come from a farm and have been taking care of animals my whole life, from dogs to cats and cattle I have two dogs in my home house and also take care of my elderly neighbours dog. I bring them for walks and teach them simple tricks to keep them entertained Right now I’m renting in the town so I don’t have dogs in my current house but at home on the farm we have fences to keep the dogs safe
About: My name is Grace, and I’ve always had a love for animals. I’ve been surrounded by pets since I was a child—everything from dogs, cats rabbits, horses and farm animals ( some rescues), I don't really have a preference. While I’ve always had animals in my life, I’m currently unable to commit to owning one full time due to work-related travel. That’s what makes pet sitting such a enjoyable opportunity for me. I am reliable and caring and have a good understanding of how different personalities have different needs- whether they are full of energy and love to play or rather someone calm to keep them company. I understand how important it is for pets to get attention and feel as comfortable as possible while they're person is away. I work Monday to Friday but my schedule is relatively flexible and my mornings and evenings are open. I would love the excuse to get out and about before and after work. I have no pets of my own currently as they stayed in my home house. I can accommodate any walks, check-ins or cuddles as needed
About: I grew up with big dogs — my dad loved Caucasian Shepherds. As an adult, I always wanted a dog, but working full-time made it tricky, so my partner and I got a cat instead. After we split up, the cat stayed with him, and I’ve been missing having an animal around ever since. Now I love taking care of my friends’ dogs when they go on holidays. Pet sitting and dog walking is a great way for me to spend time with animals and get to know different breeds. I believe every one is different, just like people. It’s all about being patient and finding that connection. I’m currently studying and free most of the day — feel free to share your preferred schedule, and I’ll do my best to fit in. I can play with, feed, clean up after, change litter boxes, and brush your pet’s fur. I’m happy to send you videos so you can see how they’re doing. If you’re busy, I can also take your pet to vet appointments. Most importantly, I’ll follow your instructions and make sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I recently moved to Kilkenny to improve my English, but don't worry—I speak 'Dog' perfectly! 🐶 My background is in Interior Design and working at The Disney Store, which means two things for you: I am extremely detail-oriented and I have very high standards of responsibility. I am an active person who loves long walks in nature. I don't just "watch" pets; I engage with them. Whether your dog needs a 5km run or just a gentle stroll and a belly rub, I adapt to their energy. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and I am happy to follow strict instructions regarding diet or medication. I currently have full availability 7 days a week, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. Since I am not tied to a 9-to-5 office job right now, I can offer your pet my undivided attention. I never rush walks and I can be flexible if your plans change last minute. Your pet becomes my priority for the day. Your home is safe with me. As a professional Interior Designer, I have a deep respect for people's homes and spaces. I guarantee to leave your house exactly as I found it—clean, tidy, and secure. Safety First: I always keep dogs on a leash unless we are in a secure, fenced area. I will send you daily photo updates and GPS maps of our walks so you have total peace of mind knowing your furry friend is happy and safe.
“Lorna stayed overnight to look after our cat, Simba, and we couldn’t have been happier knowing he was in her care. She was attentive, caring, and kept us updated throughout our time away with messages about how Simba was doing, which gave us great peace of mind. Lorna also treated our home with the utmost respect, leaving everything exactly as we left it. We wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to look after Simba again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter.”

About: I currently have two cats that I care for every day, including feeding them, cleaning their litter trays, grooming them, playing with them, and making sure they are happy, comfortable, and healthy. I also had two small dogs for many years, which gave me experience caring for dogs and understanding their needs. I am comfortable handling and caring for dogs of different sizes. I have also spent time looking after ponies that were borrowed from a local farmer and kept on our land. My role involved providing them with fresh water, checking on them, and keeping them company while they were in our care. I really enjoy being around animals and take pride in making sure they feel safe, cared for, and well looked after. I work fully remotely, giving your pet plenty of attention. I'm available before work, at lunch, after work, and weekends for walks, playtime, feeding, and cuddles. Your pet's safety comes first. I have a spacious, secure home with separate areas for pets, barred windows, secure doors, and can provide essentials if needed.

About: I'm a huge animal-lover with lots of experience with dogs, particularly senior dogs. I have given animals medication (one of my dogs was diabetic and another had heart failure in old age). I have volunteered at several animal shelters and completed a Fear Free animal training certificate along with hands on animal training with the SPCA. I am responsible and reliable with a genuine love of animals. I'm currently working part-time so I am am typically available most weekdays to look after your pet. I am based in Urlingford but am willing to travel if required. I will follow your instructions and advice while looking after your pet, while giving them a safe and caring environment while you are away from home.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Kilkenny
Samuel was amazing. My dog adored him and they connected immediately. He kept me updated with lots of pictures and details of the days. We were late home by 2 days due to cancelled flights and Samuel dropped all other plans to look after our pup. Couldn't recommend him more. I felt totally at peace for our entire holiday knowing our dog was in such good hands 💙🩷

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
