About: I’ve been caring for pets with love and dedication for over 10 years. I’ve worked mainly with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra attention. I handle walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship, always making sure they feel safe and happy. Families who’ve trusted me often highlight my responsibility, empathy, and the bond I naturally form with every animal. I study in the mornings, so I have lots of free time to give your pets the care and attention they deserve. I’m available to start from 1:30 PM every day. I don’t have a yard at my place, but there’s a park nearby where I take the pets for walks. I have a dog, so they always have company and playtime. I follow the owner’s instructions for food and care, and I make sure the pets are comfortable, safe, and happy.

About: I have grown up around all breeds of dogs from small Terrier Chihuahua cross rescues, Pekingese, Staffs to large Rottweilers, Olde English Bulldogs and Labradors. I love all dogs and seeing them have a good time wether that comes from long treks out Plassey or having cuddles and belly rubs. I am confident around all dogs and would not be a shy person in general. With my own dogs I enjoy little bits of training and tricks and rewarding them for being the best boy or girl! I am currently out of work so my schedule is completely open and I could think of a lot worse things than to be enjoying giving belly rubs and getting tail wags from a new furry friend. I would always like to have a meet and greet in a neutral place or somewhere the dog would be comfy and not feel like I am invading it's space and have a good positive greeting to get them comfortable with me. I am willing to bring the dogs on new adventures or around their usual place depending on what would suit the dog better. I will cater to each dog as needs be.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. Growing up, my mother worked in a pet shop, which taught me from an early age how to understand and respect animal behavior. I am a proud owner of two dogs—a Pinscher and a small mixed-breed—so I know exactly how much attention, patience, and love small and energetic dogs need. I have practical experience caring for cats and dogs of various sizes, ensuring they are always safe, well-fed, and happy. I manage my own schedule, which gives me great flexibility to care for your pets throughout the week. I have plenty of time dedicated to daily walks, structured playtime, and making sure your dog or cat never feels lonely. Whether you need morning visits, afternoon walks, or weekend sitting, I can easily adapt my routine to fit your pet's needs. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I offer a calm, secure, and pet-friendly environment where your animal can feel completely at home. I pay close attention to safety during walks and always follow the owner's specific instructions regarding feeding and routines. To give you peace of mind, I will send regular photo and video updates so you know exactly how well your pet is doing.

About: I have been around pets all of my life and have so much experience with them. I grew up with my cocker spaniel dog Bella who is 10 now. In Amsterdam I walked dogs and looked after peoples pets for a year. When I came back to Ireland I continued pet sitting. I also adopted my cat Winston last year. I work 4 days a week, no later than 5pm. I can stay in your home full time as I work in the city centre. If you can book on a day I am off work, then your pet has me all day! I’m unable to look after pets in my own home as it is too small but I am happy to travel/stay to your home where your pet is comfortable in their own space! Anything I can do to make your pet happy please let me know.

About: I have owned and taken care of an array of different pets, for example guinea pigs, canaries, cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish. My family has always loved animals and I've been raised around them all my life. I've taken care of pets of friends and family for years. My own kitty is a senior cat now and I have had her since she was 2 months. As I am a leaving cert student, I have the entire summer off. I am free any and every time to care for your pet and provide them with whatever they need! There are two children under the age of 12 in my home and they have also been around animals their entire lives and are extremely gentle. My home is spacious with a large, walled garden and plenty of quiet spaces inside the house aswell. My home is located around many parks in which pets can be taken for walks.

About: I'm a big animal lover with experience in minding pets when families are away. I'm here to give your four legged member of the family company and care when you are away!
I am flexible with hours and available 7 days a week. I am available for short walks or for walks up to an hour and am happy to switch up routes. I love walks in nature and engaging in play when out and about. When with your pet I will always be contactable. If you want updates and pictures, I am more than happy to oblige! All pets have different personalities, and I am happy to work around different feeding routines, walking accommodations, or any other quirks your pet may have.
Since losing my own dog last year, I have missed the comfort (and often chaos!) of having a little creature around to care for and entertain. Pets are more than animals, they are our family. You can rely on me to treat your pet well and ensure they are having a great time while you are not there.
All pets must be up to date on their vaccines. I do not work with animals with a bite history for my own safety. All personalities and energy levels are welcome, I don't mind a hyperactive pet or a nervous one. Don't hesitate to reach out and I look forward to meeting you and your pets :) I recently finished my undergraduate degree and have moved home. Before beginning my professional career, I’d love to go back to one of my favourite things, pet minding! I am available 7 days a week and am flexible with hours. I have a closed garden and live nearby a park which is animal friendly. I will work around you and your pets needs to ensure a top quality visit.

About: Over my 30 years I have taken care of cats, dogs, and birds. I love animals and am a very active person. I would love to have a walking buddy! I can’t have a pet in my current accommodation, so I have lots of love to give your animal! I have a flexible job so I am available anytime. I don’t like leaving animals for long on their own, so I will prioritize frequent visits. I understand it can be scary to trust your pet or home with a stranger— I will make sure to send updates and treat your home with the same respect as my own.

About: I have had pets since I was a kid. And as an adult, I've taken care of dogs and cats of my family, friends and neighbours. They always used to call me to help them. Currently I'm taking an english course at Ned Collage on afternoons, Monday to Thursday. I have free time at mornings, after 5:30 pm, and full availability fridays and weekends. I try to adapt the care in relation with the place. If it's a house with yard, we go out to play. If there isn't, we could go to walk for a close park. Or maybe stay home, if pets prefer it.

Jana stayed overnight for a week in our home caring for our two cats, she was incredibly professional and accommodating. She did a great job caring for our cats and looking after our home while we were away on our first holiday since adopting them. We came home to two relaxed and happy boys and a spotless home. Couldn’t recommend her more!

About: I've had various experiences with dogs and cats as pets. I've been around dogs since I was young, and all my ex-girlfriends had cats. :) I'm working on a work-from-home project for a company in Brazil, and I only work at night here, having the whole day free. I live in an apartment and I also have a garden area. I also live next to People Park, which is a great area for walking dogs.

About: Hi! My name is Igor, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I understand that every dog has its own personality, routine, and comfort needs, so I always provide patient, attentive, and loving care to help pets feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away.

I have experience handling dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels, including shy dogs, highly active dogs, senior dogs, and pets that may feel anxious in new environments. I know how important it is to stay calm, observant, and patient to help dogs adapt comfortably and build trust. I am also comfortable following feeding schedules, reinforcing routines, administering basic care instructions, and monitoring behavior closely to ensure every pet remains safe and comfortable.

I provide multiple walks per day depending on the dog’s energy level and needs, with walks usually lasting between 20–45 minutes. I also include playtime, companionship, rest periods, and mental stimulation throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone for long periods, and I always make sure they receive attention, supervision, and affection.

I keep owners updated regularly with messages and photos so they can feel reassured and connected while away from their pets. In my home, dogs have a calm, clean, and safe environment where they can relax comfortably. I carefully manage introductions between dogs when needed and always prioritize safety, hygiene, and emotional comfort.

I prefer caring for vaccinated pets to help maintain a healthy environment for all animals. My goal is to create a positive, stress-free experience where every dog feels welcomed, protected, and treated like family. I provide multiple walks per day depending on the dog’s energy level and needs, with walks usually lasting between 20–45 minutes. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and am very comfortable caring for animals. I also love cats and enjoy spending time with pets of all personalities. I’m patient, responsible, and used to caring for others - I helped care for my nana with dementia for 3 years, which taught me attentiveness and routine. As an older sister, I’m naturally dependable and calm in busy situations, and I’ll make sure pets are safe and well looked after. I currently work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care throughout the day. From July onwards, I’ll be working 9–5, but I’ll still be available before and after work, as well as on weekends and holidays. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual routine and will follow all feeding instructions carefully to make sure they’re comfortable and cared for properly. I’m also comfortable giving oral medication if needed. I love being active, so I’m happy to take dogs on walks, or even jogs depending on their energy level and needs. I’ll always make sure pets feel safe, calm, and well looked after in their own environment. As I’ll mainly be caring for pets in the owner’s home, I’ll treat the space respectfully, keep everything tidy and follow any household routines or instructions closely.

Samantha was the BEST pet sitter I could have asked for. I left in a rush and the house was sorta messy but I came home to a nice clean house and HAPPY pets! She provided updates while I was away and I never felt worried once. I even had new kittens and she was so great with having them out with the pups and keeping everyone safe and cared for. I could not recommend her enough. She is thoughtful and will love your pets as much as you! :) I even made a mistake during booking and did one day shorter than I meant to and Samantha had no problem staying the extra night. If I could give 10 stars, I would. :)

Elena looked after our St Bernard Paddy in our own home. She kept us constantly updated with photos and videos and you could tell he was being absolutely spoilt! He connected with her straight away and it was extremely reassuring to know that he was in such good hands while we were away. We would highly recommend Elena and we will definitely use her services again.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds since I was young and have always been surrounded by them. With three of my own, I understand different personalities, from energetic young pets to older companions needing patience and extra attention. Neighbours, family, and friends consistently rely on me because I’m attentive, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in every animal’s wellbeing. I’m currently in college and working part time but my hours are small. My schedule can shift every week but if you need someone to help a specific day every week, then i can make sure I'm always free that day <3 I provide care in the pet owner’s home to keep pets comfortable in their own familiar environment. I stick closely to their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided. I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while maintaining the cleanliness and security of your home. Regular updates can also be provided for peace of mind.

About: I’ve had plenty of experience dog sitting for friends and family over the years, caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while their owners are away. My routine works well for dog sitting because I’m naturally an early riser and enjoy starting my mornings with time outdoors and staying active. This means I can give dogs attention, walks, feeding, and company before heading to work. Although I work 8-hour shifts during the day, I’m available again in the evenings to spend quality time with them, including walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their owner’s home. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I understand how important consistency is for animals, so I make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise throughout the day. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and ensure pets feel relaxed in their familiar environment. I keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel reassured while they are away.

About: I consider myself very good around pets, particularly cats, whether they're playful kittens or senior cats. I take pride in being calm, patient, and reliable when it comes to animals; this goes hand-in-hand with my ability to read animals pretty well! I'm currently a Master's student at the University of Limerick! This means that I have a fairly flexible schedule, allowing me to squeeze in pet care at any time of day, without being stuck in a classroom. I rarely have plans on weekends and holidays, so I have excellent availability if you need your pets taken care of. I'm very familiar with all aspects of cat care, from maintaining a spotless litter box to keeping your cats entertained through play. I've raised two kittens myself and treat every animal as if they were a member of my own family, because I understand how stressful it is to leave a pet. My goal is to give owners peace of mind.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when contacting them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking rubbish out on scheduled bin collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Limerick walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Limerick choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
