“I found Geraldine to be very professional and accommodating of my dogs needs. He has some dietary requirements and she freely took all instructions and Zeus loved his stay. WE got regular images and feedback on how he was doing during his stay and there was plenty of communication before, during and after his visit to ensure everything went smoothly. Would use again”

About: I used to have a dog for several years who was extremely excited for walks, I've also looked after a family member's dog when they were away for vacation several times. I love taking care of extremely hyper dogs who want to play all day or run around. Currently a student on summer break, nothing else planned or scheduled. As such, I will be able to provide full care for your pet. During the school year I'll be adjusting my schedule but I still plan on looking after pets during the full year! I will do my very best to ensure the safety and care for your pet and if needed, house. I will accommodate any special request that your pet may need. I will communicate any question or issue that may happen. If your pet is boarding in my house, I should note I live with my parents, but they will not be assisting with care and assistance. I will be taking full responsibility. I will answer any questions you may have about me.

About: Hi! My name is Igor, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I understand that every dog has its own personality, routine, and comfort needs, so I always provide patient, attentive, and loving care to help pets feel safe, relaxed, and happy while their owners are away. I have experience handling dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels, including shy dogs, highly active dogs, senior dogs, and pets that may feel anxious in new environments. I know how important it is to stay calm, observant, and patient to help dogs adapt comfortably and build trust. I am also comfortable following feeding schedules, reinforcing routines, administering basic care instructions, and monitoring behavior closely to ensure every pet remains safe and comfortable. I provide multiple walks per day depending on the dog’s energy level and needs, with walks usually lasting between 20–45 minutes. I also include playtime, companionship, rest periods, and mental stimulation throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone for long periods, and I always make sure they receive attention, supervision, and affection. I keep owners updated regularly with messages and photos so they can feel reassured and connected while away from their pets. In my home, dogs have a calm, clean, and safe environment where they can relax comfortably. I carefully manage introductions between dogs when needed and always prioritize safety, hygiene, and emotional comfort. I prefer caring for vaccinated pets to help maintain a healthy environment for all animals. My goal is to create a positive, stress-free experience where every dog feels welcomed, protected, and treated like family. About: I have owned and taken care of an array of different pets, for example guinea pigs, canaries, cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish. My family has always loved animals and I've been raised around them all my life. I've taken care of pets of friends and family for years. My own kitty is a senior cat now and I have had her since she was 2 months. As I am a leaving cert student, I have the entire summer off. I am free any and every time to care for your pet and provide them with whatever they need! There are two children under the age of 12 in my home and they have also been around animals their entire lives and are extremely gentle. My home is spacious with a large, walled garden and plenty of quiet spaces inside the house aswell. My home is located around many parks in which pets can be taken for walks.
“Our small dog was well looked after at Anna's. She sent regular pics and videos of the fun he was having, and it was good to know he was enjoying his stay. Anna was super helpful and accommodating.”

About: I've had various experiences with dogs and cats as pets. I've been around dogs since I was young, and all my ex-girlfriends had cats. :) I'm working on a work-from-home project for a company in Brazil, and I only work at night here, having the whole day free. I live in an apartment and I also have a garden area. I also live next to People Park, which is a great area for walking dogs.
“This was Rua's second time staying with Melissa and the way he jumped out of our car and into her arms when we arrived says it all. He was delighted to be back and see her and his doggy pals! Melissa was lovely and responsive as always. 11/10 recommend. ”

“We left our 4 year old for 2 weeks with Brendan, he is by far the best sitter we’ve had. Sent us daily updates, pictures videos of walks playtime. He even bathed her when she got dirty in the fields. Arya got along super well with his beagle Bran. Definitely going to book again! Thank you for everything Brendan!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sandra and her family! They looked after my dog for one night, and I could tell right away that he was in great hands. Not only did they make him feel at home, he had so much fun playing with their dog Nala – it was like they were best buddies from the start! Sandra sent me regular updates and pictures, which put my mind completely at ease. I loved seeing how happy and comfortable Bear was, and it made me confident that he was getting the best care possible. I’m so grateful for her kindness and care. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and attentive pet sitter. Thank you again for everything! ”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Limerick
Our dogs seemed to absolutely love their stay with Isabela and Ciaran. They were looked after as if they were Isabela and Ciaran’s own dogs. I thought the dogs may not want to come back home. They were very good to keep in contact and share pics and videos. I would very highly recommend them and will most definitely be rebooking.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Limerick ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Many boarding sitters in Limerick can stay with their dogs most of the day, but it’s common for them to step out for short periods. Since every sitter’s schedule is unique, it’s important to agree on expectations before the stay begins. Adding the number of hours your dog can be alone to their profile will also help you find the right match.
If you are worried about your dog being alone, ask a sitter how they make a dog feel settled in a new environment. This can help your dog feel more comfortable.
If your dog cannot be left alone for more than a few hours, you may want to look for sitters who offer 24/7 care. Sitters who offer constant care are more likely to take on dogs who need frequent attention.
Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
