“Lyndsey is a very caring and considerate pet sitter. She made our Elmer feel right at home and with regular updates kept our minds at ease. Her family and own pets were also very easy going. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’m a stay at home Mom, I spend a lot of time at home, we have a big house in the country side of Ballincollig, your pet will always have company ;) I grow up with animals, when I was younger I moved to Spain with my two dogs. When I meet my husband and moved to Ireland my dogs came with us. They are like children for us. My beloved Dog died recently, he was with me for 15 years. I cared for him in the last few months of his life, he was a senior dog in need of different care. My other dog is 10 years old now, she will be so happy to host new friends! My Son is 7 y old now and knows to treat animals with kindness and respect. Having a senior dog and a younger one helped him understand how different animals needs can be. I am looking forward to hosting your pet :) I’m a stay at home Mom, I spend most of my day at home. My dog needs a lot of company since her best friend died, so I try to let her alone the bare minimum. I have a big garden with a natural fence, our dog doesn’t go behind the fence she’s been trained to stay always close to us, I have a big dog pen set outside for the safety of ur dog. They can play outside supervised by me, but they will sleep indoors. I have set up a room for the dogs, so they are nice and warm.
“Daniela is absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of Sandy, and I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. Daniela was caring, attentive and clearly loves dogs. Sandy was happy, relaxed and well looked after when I picked her up. I couldn’t recommend Daniela highly enough and will definitely be using her again. Thank you so much, Daniela! ❤️🐾”
About: Harbour Hound B&B isn’t your usual dog‑boarding setup, we’re a non‑mixing environment, taking one dog at a time, or two from the same household, so every guest gets proper one‑to‑one care. Our guest has their own cosy bedroom for the duration of their stay. Dogs here sleep independently in their room, and they’ll also have short periods of downtime while I get on with normal mum things like cooking dinner or tidying up. Because of that, it’s important that your dog is comfortable settling on their own and doesn’t become anxious or stressed by this. We welcome: Dogs who can rest independently in a closed room. If you’d like to get a feel for how I work, you can see videos and updates on my social media. FB: Harbour Hound B&B Instagram: harbour.houndbnb It is usually where I work from. As a stay‑at‑home mom, I have the time and flexibility to offer calm, focused, one‑to‑one care throughout the day. Every dog is welcomed like part of the family and taken straight out for a walk to help them settle in comfortably. I do step out for short periods for normal household tasks, but dogs are never left alone for long. We’re a nature‑loving family, and daily walks are a big part of our routine , they bring us peace and keep the dogs happy. We have two dogs of our own who are well loved members of the family. They enjoy their own space, so to ensure every dog feels safe and relaxed, we keep guest dogs in a separate area of the house with their own room and routine. This setup allows for one on one attention and a calm environment tailored to each dogs needs. Each guest gets their own private upstairs suite (aka our spare room), access to a memory foam bed and zero competition for cuddles. Please have flea treatments & vaccinations up to date

“Julie took wonderful care of Matrim while we were away. As he's a senior dog, we were a little nervous about him staying with a younger pup, but Julie handled everything brilliantly and made sure he had plenty of quiet time to rest. She was quick to respond throughout, sent lovely photo updates. Matrim came home happy and well-rested. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and highly recommend Julie!”

“Pauliana took great care of Enzo over the weekend (2 nights). Quick to reply. Easy to arrange drop off and collection. Enzo seemed really happy while he was there (Pauliana sent lovely photos). Would 100% recommend”

“Isadora was amazing throughout Fleur’s stay. It was our first time leaving Fleur and she completely put my mind at ease about it from the start. Fleur and Blue got on very well which was great. Isadora sent updates everyday on she was getting on! If you’re looking for a cat sitter, I would highly recommend her 😊”

“I left Mt Oreo with Imelda 2 days and she was fantastic with my him! She walked him and she always sent me pics of him. Her dogs were lovely with my dog also. Any complaints, I am very happy with Imeldda's work and I will definitely book another day with her. Highly recommended 👌 ”

About: Hi, I'm David and based in Ballincollig. I've always had a huge love for dogs and owned one of my own over 11 years but he sadly passed away in April. Jackson was a friendly half-Lab, half Pitbull who taught me how much joy and loyalty dogs bring to your life. I'm a very active person and while I have the most experience with medium to bigger sized dogs, I am open to walking all kinds. I'm reliable, patient and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I'll treat each dog with the same care and attention I gave my own. Available for walks around Ballincollig, I am happy to walk dogs whether they are vaccinated or not and I am usually available for longer walks if that suits your dog. I also drive so I can come to meet you if that is more suitable. Really looking forward to spending time with dogs again! I work from the office 2–3 half days per week, so I have good flexibility throughout the week. Mondays and Fridays are particularly suitable for me, as well as weekends. I’m also available for one-hour dog walks around lunchtime on most weekdays, as well as evening walks on most days depending on my work schedule. I’m happy to arrange a regular schedule or accommodate occasional walks where possible. I’ll always do my best to work around your dog’s routine and make sure they get the exercise, attention and care they need. I have a safe and secure home environment, including an enclosed back garden with full fencing, providing a secure space if a dog is ever in my care at home. I understand how important trust is when it comes to looking after pets, and I always prioritise safety, supervision, and consistency. I’m calm, responsible, and attentive with dogs, and I will treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well looked after at all times.
“We were very happy with the care Michelle took of Teddy. From the first meeting she made everything so easy - she thought of everything and we knew Teddy would be in good hands. Michelle sent lots of pictures and videos while we were away, Teddy settled in very well and was in great form when we collected him. Thanks Michelle, we will definitely be back again!”

“Larry had such a great stay with Ross. He was kept super entertained and we were kept up to date throughout his stay with pictures and videos. Ross is very accommodating in times to drop and collect Larry too which was very helpful for us. When we went to collect Larry, he tried to follow Ross back into his home - think that says it all! Thank you!”

“Ciana is a great dog minder, my 5 years old dog loved her since the beginning! My dog spent a day and a night, Ciana kept me updated with pictures, they had beautiful walks together and I couldn't ask for more. Surely we'll call her back when we'll need it!”
“Lucy and Linus love spending time at Maizy's place and always come home rested and well looked after, like they'd been at a spa! Maizy is always highly communicative and sends us regular photos and updates, which really puts our mind at ease! 11/10, always happy to leave our two with them while we are away!”

“I had such a great experience with Simon looking after Jack. He was caring, reliable and clearly loves dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands, and Jack came home happy and well looked after. I would definitely recommend Simon and would happily have him mind Jack again! 🐾”

Murphy really enjoyed his week long stay at Renata’s. He is a nervous, rescue dog and he instantly took a liking to Renata. She understood his needs and was very caring towards him. She ensured we were kept updated throughout his stay with daily videos and photos. He was a very happy boy when we picked him up. We recommend Renata as an excellent dog sitter who will look after your pup with love and care.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Dog Boarding in Glanmire on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Cork ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Some boarding sitters stay with the dogs in their care for most of the day, while others may step out for work, errands or other commitments. Each sitter’s schedule and the amount of time your dog may be left alone will vary, so it is important to agree expectations before the stay begins.
Before booking, tell the sitter how long your dog can comfortably be left alone and confirm their typical schedule during the stay. Adding the maximum number of hours your dog can be left alone to their profile can also help sitters decide whether they are the right match.
Boarding does not automatically include round-the-clock supervision. If your dog needs someone present at all times, ask whether the sitter offers constant care or 24/7 care. This may require a separate arrangement and may not be included in the sitter’s standard boarding rate.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
