I work from home for majority of the week - the longest your dog will be alone is 4 hours at a stretch. I walk a lot, so your dog will get adequate exercise depending on their needs. I usually take my dogs out a lunch time and in the evenings for a quick run around the park too.

I have a large fenced garden. I also have a crate that I have made cosy so if your dog needs their own space they can sleep in the crate but also happy for them to sleep on the couch. I want your dog to feel at home, this is not a kennels.

A typical day
Every morning starts with a slice of ham in my house, this is the best way to get them to take their medicine I find. When I log on my two hop on the couch after breakfast. 12 is lunch time which means a walk in the area, or sometimes we might head somewhere different weather dependant. After dinner we do a quick lap of the park before retiring to the couch for cuddles. Throughout the day I try to keep them occupied in other ways with treats wrapped in cloth or a kong. They go between the house and the garden during the summer time. The idea is to have your dog slot into their routine and have a cosy place to stay while you’re away.

I’ve been the family pet sitter for years with 2 of my own dogs, Bucky 6 and Sasha 4. Looking to earn some extra cash so thought why not do it doing something I love, looking after someone else’s babies 🥰. I have my own home with a large garden and I work from home so dogs are walked during my lunch break and again in the evening for a quick run around the local park. Outside of that your doggo can relax on the couch with my two and get lots of cuddles 🥰

Katie has looked after my dog, Jake, on many occasions, including overnight stays, long weekends, and while I have been away on holidays. While my husband and I were away for the weekend, Katie stayed in our home to mind our dog Apollo. It gave us great peace of mind, as he was dealing with separation anxiety at the time and is always more relaxed in his own environment. Apollo quickly warmed to Katie. He was playing and asking for belly rubs before we had even left the house. As a dog owner herself, she knew how to connect with him and build trust right away. She asked for a detailed overview of his routine, wanting to stick to it as closely as possible, along with his favourite toys and any quirks she should be aware of. While we were away, she sent regular updates, including photos and videos of Apollo enjoying himself and lounging about the house as he likes to do. Because of this, we were able to enjoy our time away without worrying about him. Katie also kept our home clean, tidy, and treated it with respect. Apollo gets excited every time he sees her now and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Katie to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet.
