About: Hi there! I'm Sergio, a passionate dog lover living in Cork. I grew up surrounded by pets and have years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Why choose me to care for your dog? Personalized Care: I treat every dog as if they were my own family, making sure they feel safe, calm, and happy. Active Walks: I love staying active and exploring local parks like Cork Lough, Holland park, Tramore Valley park. Your dog will get plenty of exercise, playtime, and fresh air. Safety & Updates: Your peace of mind is my priority. I will send you regular photo and video updates throughout our time together so you always know how your pup is doing. Services I offer:Dog Walking: Energetic 30 or 60-minute walks tailored to your dog’s pace and needs.House Visits & Daycare: Feeding, fresh water, companionship, and belly rubs while you are at work or away. I have a flexible schedule and am always happy to arrange a free Meet & Greet before taking on a job. Feel free to message me with any questions My routine is very organized and flexible. I study English in the mornings, which leaves me completely free and available every day of the week starting from 1:00 PM onwards. This allows me to dedicate my afternoons and evenings fully to pet care, ensuring I can offer timely drop-ins, house sitting, or energetic afternoon walks My approach depends on the service: for walks, I keep dogs safe on leash in green areas; for house sitting, I follow their exact home routine and keep them company; and for drop-ins, I check in, feed them, and play with them.

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I can remember! But when my uncle asked me to house and dog sit for a few weeks over the summer, my love for dogs only grew fonder. We spent time on long and short walks, playing in the garden and building a strong connection. I’m currently on summer holidays from college and I was looking for something fulfilling to fill my time. I’m fully flexible right now and when I go back to college, I would love to dog walk to break up my study periods and to help me get outside more! I’m very attentive and will ensure that your dog is taken care of under my watch! I’ll make sure that their needs are fully met and that both me and your dog have a great time!

About: I’ve loved animals, especially dogs, since I was a child. Growing up in Brazil, I often saw dogs living on the streets and always wished I could bring them home and give them the care and affection they deserved. I don’t have a dog of my own in Ireland yet, so pet sitting is a lovely opportunity for me to spend time with animals while also earning some extra income. I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making them feel safe, comfortable and loved. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, and I’m happy to follow your instructions carefully. For me, looking after a pet is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be around animals that constantly teach us about love, loyalty and companionship. ❤️🐶 My spacious living room and secure grassy backyard provide a safe, stimulating environment for pets. With full-time availability since leaving my previous job, I can dedicate consistent attention to their daily routines, ensuring trust and comfort in my Cork home. In my home, I prioritize safety and comfort by providing a spacious living area for relaxation and a secure grassy backyard for exercise. Since I have full-time availability after leaving my previous job, I can maintain consistent routines, offer individualized attention, and ensure pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared-for in a calm domestic environment.

About: I’ve owned dogs ever since I was about 6 years old! I currently have 2 dogs who I walk constantly and who I have trained from the puppy phase (alongside my mom). I absolutely adore dogs and just want to look after them and keep them company. I’m currently in UCC doing my Masters which is 2 days per week, alongside working Fridays and Saturdays so I’m free 3 days out of 7! I’m always walking my dogs anyways, so I’m used to controlling strong dogs. It’s essential to provide a safe, loving environment for a pet. I believe I’m a gentle, caring person (especially towards dogs!) and I take pride in how I care for my own dogs, which would translate to how well I would look after yours!

About: I have always grown up with dogs and cats, in total I have had 5 dogs, 7 cats, and a rabbit, and so learned to be responsible with pets from a very young age. Currently my dog Roxy lives with me and is my pride and joy - my goal is to ease your mind and look after your loved pet with the same care I give to Roxy. I am available to stay at your dwelling overnight or during day time, as my remote work provides ample flexibility. This also includes availability to drop in for toilet breaks and/or designated walks. I have experience looking after all types of dogs/cats, from young to old, anxious to hyper and you can trust in me to keep your minds at ease with your loved pets! I work remotely and so I can adjust my work routine to the needs of your pets. My communication style is very proactive and revolves around careful planning with the intention to suit you and your pets schedule(s) with minimal disruption. I would care for your pet in your home in the manner in which you require, which includes toileting, crating, food schedules, walks, medication, etc. My goal is to minimize disruption to your loved pet's routine and maintain a familiar-as-possible schedule for them. I would communicate very closely with you to ensure all logistics are captured prior to the day of minding your pet so that the day itself runs as smoothly as possible. It is up to you if you would be happy to have Roxy join (with a crate) to keep your loved one with some extra company!

About: I grew up with dogs my whole life and can't imagine life without them! I adore dogs and think they're the best companions and so would do my absolute best to care for yours! I have previous experience in dog walking/sitting for other people which I've done at home and when living abroad. I also have personal experience with my own dogs, one of which I cared for from when he was a puppy to when he reached 16 years old! My family has also had the addition of all the energy and care that is needed for them. I'm currently studying at home and so would love to break up my days by looking after your dog(s)! As I am studying and currently not working my availability is very flexible :) I will give your dog constant attention and ensure they have regular toilet breaks as well as at least one good walk a day. Depending on how long or when I care for them I will also ensure they are fed as instructed.

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet. I provide reliable, attentive, and loving care, with regular updates and photos for peace of mind. 🐾 Caring for dogs is part of my everyday life. I have three large dogs of my own, so daily walks, feeding, exercise, and playtime are already built into my routine. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable and attentive care for other pets as well. 🐾 In a pet owner’s home, I make sure pets maintain their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and relaxed. I spend quality time with them, provide companionship, playtime, fresh water, meals, and regular walks.

“Thanks to Erin for looking after Bailey so beautifully. I left a few instructions for Erin on Baileys care and she followed every one, he is not the best of eaters and he even put on a little weight which is great. I would highly recommend Erin for pet sitting and hope to get her to sit again in the future :)”

About: I am Brazilian, we used to live in apartment blocks, and dogs require a lot of attention and they have a lot of energy. I used to walk my neighbours dogs since I’m 15. I also served as an overnight sitter when they went on holidays. My schedule is very flexible! I can try fitting in your routine and we can make it work :) I’m always free at night time during the week and majority of mornings too! Free on Saturday mornings and Sunday Afternoons. At home, my dog Cookie is part of the family. I like to ask the dog’s/owner’s schedule, so the pet doesn’t really get impacted with the change in the routine. I like to give a lot of attention and show that I’m present to the pet at the moment. Lots of walks, maybe movie nights, biscuits and play time.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own Labrador, Riley, who is 12 months old. I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day needs of a young, energetic dog, including walks, feeding, playtime, training, enrichment and plenty of cuddles. Riley has also given me experience with positive-reinforcement training, particularly lead walking, recall, basic commands and helping a young dog learn to stay calm around distractions. I’m comfortable managing different energy levels and making sure dogs get plenty of exercise while also having time to relax. I love being around dogs and would treat every dog in my care with the same patience, attention and affection that I give Riley. I work from home, so I’m around for most of the day and can give your dog plenty of attention, company and regular breaks. I’m happy to fit walks, playtime and rest around your dog’s usual routine, and I’m flexible with their individual needs. I have a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time. I have my own friendly Labrador, Riley, who loves having doggy company and playing with other dogs. I don’t currently use a crate, but I have crate-trained Riley so I’m very comfortable following a dog’s existing crate routine if they’re used to one. I’ll always follow your instructions and make sure your dog feels comfortable and settled while staying with me.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Glanmire

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Glanmire on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or toilet breaks occurred, for doggy day care, home visits, and dog walking services. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Glanmire pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glanmire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
