About: I have experience caring for and walking dogs for family members, friends, and neighbours. Over time, I have helped with regular walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and looking after dogs while their owners were away or unavailable. I understand that every dog has its own personality, routine, and individual needs, so I always take the time to follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I am responsible, patient, attentive, and committed to making sure every dog in my care feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after. I also believe in keeping owners updated so they can have peace of mind while their pet is with me. I have flexibility in my weekly schedule and can arrange pet care around confirmed bookings. I am available for walks, drop-in visits and companionship, and I will always agree on suitable times with owners in advance. I make sure every pet receives proper attention and is never rushed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. When caring for pets in their own home, I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines and any special requirements. I make sure doors and gates are secure, use leads responsibly, keep the environment clean and comfortable, and provide regular updates so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe and well cared for.

About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life! I love cats and dogs and would be delighted to help you with your animal's needs! Unfortunately I no longer have my own pets and I thought Rover would be a good way to introduce some furry friends back into my life! I have also volunteered at the CSPCA animal shelter in the past which involved caring for dogs and cats and dog-walking daily! I am currently a final year student so I would be available to care for your pet Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings! I am also available to house sit at weekends should your pet need care while you are away! I unfortunately am not able to offer care for your pet in my own home as my garden isn't secure enough and I wouldn't want your lovely pet to be at risk! I am an extremely trustworthy person and should you choose me to mind your pet I would do so with a lot of care, attention and kindness!

About: Hey there! My name is Ciana, 28, and I'm both experienced and qualified with animals. I have obtained a level 6 QQI in Canine Training & Obedience, Canine Training Instruction, and also worked as a stable hand for many years caring for horses, dogs, and farm animals. Through my work in a stable I've obtained standard qualifications in animal First Aid and Red Cross (just in case!) I absolutely adore dogs and cats and am constantly surrounded by them, and friends who are out of town frequently leave their animals in my company, and I'm glad to have them! 🐶 I only do sitting when I am totally available! So your dog will never be on their own, and as such can enjoy their time with me without having to be alone in an unfamiliar environment 😊 Your dog will be staying in a lovely safe estate with many green spaces, and will be walked along the scenic greenway running from Passagewest to Monkstown or Mahon. I have a fenced in garden so they will have the freedom to explore off-leash, and no part of my house is off limits 😊

About: I have always grown up with dogs and cats, in total I have had 5 dogs, 7 cats, and a rabbit, and so learned to be responsible with pets from a very young age. Currently my dog Roxy lives with me and is my pride and joy - my goal is to ease your mind and look after your loved pet with the same care I give to Roxy. I am available to stay at your dwelling overnight or during day time, as my remote work provides ample flexibility. This also includes availability to drop in for toilet breaks and/or designated walks. I have experience looking after all types of dogs/cats, from young to old, anxious to hyper and you can trust in me to keep your minds at ease with your loved pets! I work remotely and so I can adjust my work routine to the needs of your pets. My communication style is very proactive and revolves around careful planning with the intention to suit you and your pets schedule(s) with minimal disruption. I would care for your pet in your home in the manner in which you require, which includes toileting, crating, food schedules, walks, medication, etc. My goal is to minimize disruption to your loved pet's routine and maintain a familiar-as-possible schedule for them. I would communicate very closely with you to ensure all logistics are captured prior to the day of minding your pet so that the day itself runs as smoothly as possible. It is up to you if you would be happy to have Roxy join (with a crate) to keep your loved one with some extra company!

About: I am an animal lover and I'm not afraid to admit that my dog is my best friend. I enjoy the outdoors and with an energetic Jack Russell who loves his walks and spins in the car are a must. Dogs give us nothing but love so the least I can do is show them love & care when they stay in my home. I live with my semi retired uncle who loves having the company of a dog in the house and I also rent a room to students so the dogs staying with me will never be on their own too long. I have a front garden & enclosed back garden. I also live close to walkways so they will have plenty of exercise. I run a calm and comfortable house. Dogs in my care can come to relax and chill out or play and run around with my little terrier. I give the dogs the run of the downstairs areas of my home so they will not be confined to small spaces or just one room.

About: I have loved and cared for animals since childhood, growing up surrounded by various pets. This lifelong passion has given me years of experience handling dogs, cats, and small animals. I deeply understand how important consistency, safety, and affection are to a pet's well-being.
To ensure your pet stays completely comfortable, I offer exclusive services directly at your home or in your local area, including energetic dog walking and dedicated home visits. This means your furry friend can maintain their familiar routine in their own safe environment without any unnecessary stress.
My services are entirely tailored to your instructions. Each visit or walk includes fresh water, feeding schedules, plenty of interactive playtime, and comforting companionship. When out on walks, I always map out calm, secure routes, keeping a close eye on your dog's body language and comfort levels.
Whether you need regular walks for a playful pup or home visits for a quiet cat who prefers their own space, I treat every animal with the same devotion as my own. As I currently work part-time with flexible hours, pet care fits perfectly into my weekly schedule. I have specifically structured my routine to ensure maximum availability during the day, making it incredibly easy to adapt to your pet's specific needs. Whether it is a lunchtime walk, a mid-afternoon check-in, or feeding schedules, my flexible setup allows me to be highly responsive and completely dedicated to your pet whenever they need me. I offer pet care exclusively at the owner's home and within their local area, as I do not board pets in my own home. When doing home visits or house sitting, I focus entirely on maintaining your pet's familiar routine to keep them stress-free. This includes strictly following feeding and medication schedules, replenishing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes or bowls, and providing plenty of companionship and interactive playtime. For outdoor care, I tailor daily walks to your dog's specific energy levels and temperament, ensuring they are always kept on a secure leash. I carefully map out calm, safe routes in the neighbourhood and pay close attention to their body language to ensure they return home happy, thoroughly exercised, and completely relaxed.

About: I grew up on a farm in Portugal surrounded by animals since the day I was born. My father is a vet, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I learned early how to handle animals with love, confidence and responsibility. Back in Portugal, I was part of an animal rescue institution where I helped save abandoned animals, cared for them at home, and found responsible new owners. Since moving to Ireland, I’ve continued looking after pets — from minding my friends’ cats to taking daily care of my boyfriend’s two dogs, which I walk, feed, play with and treat like my own. Animals are truly my comfort place, and I bring years of real, hands-on experience with pets of all kinds. I work from home, which means your pet will have company and attention throughout the entire day. I can easily fit walks, playtime and feeding into my routine. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays, and I’m very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first with me. I live in a clean, warm and tidy home where every animal is treated like family. I have a fully fenced garden where dogs can play safely, as well as an outdoor kennel for pets who prefer fresh air or need their own space.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Carrigaline

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Carrigaline on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or toilet breaks occurred, for doggy day care, home visits, and dog walking services. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Carrigaline pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carrigaline choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
