About: 📢 Contact me with your pets' needs. I'll be delighted to check my calendar and see how I can fit them into my schedule! 💚 I've grown up with cats and dogs, between my house and the grandparents. I am attentive and aware each is different and may have different requirements. I am working part time and live in the city centre so can help you out to ensure your baby is looked after when you're not there! My cats are indoor only. I have a strict feeding schedule and ensure they have both cuddle and playtime with me. I have created an engaging environment for them with a cat wheel, toys that suit them etc. I am particularly attentive to cleanliness as cats enjoy a neat environment.

About: I grew up constantly surrounded by pets including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and more so I have always been connected to animals and have been pet-sitting for a long time. I am comfortable with a wide range of sizes and breeds. Beyond their basic needs, I am also comfortable administering routine medication, accommodating to each dog’s special needs, and reinforcing any preexisting training during our time together. I am currently writing my master's thesis, so I have plenty of time to keep your cats company! Since my schedule is flexible, I am able to easily move things around to best fit your and your pet’s needs. Having grown up with many pets from a young age and having experience pet-sitting a variety of dogs + cats, I am able to easily spot possible hazards and know how to create a comfortable environment for them. From timid to extroverted dogs, I know how to read their body language, respect their boundaries, and nurture a good relationship with them.

About: I've spent my whole life around dogs, from raising Shepherds as a kid to recently caring for friends, neighbors, and families pets and volunteering at an animal shelter. That hands-on experience means I genuinely understand how they think and what they need. I can read a dog's body language, recognize when something's off, and respond calmly and confidently in any situation. What your dog gets with me: someone who shows up on time, every time, and treats your pup with the same care I'd give my own. I'm currently a Microbiome Science master's student at UCC. During the week, I am available after 5 PM and on the weekend am available all day Whether I'm visiting your home or welcoming your pet into mine, your pet's safety and comfort always come first. I follow the owner's routine closely, feeding schedules, walking routes, any rules they've set, because consistency is what makes them feel secure in an unfamiliar situation.

About: My name is Timi, originally from Hungary, but I grew up in Spain. I live here in Cork for 7 years and got the citizenship. I live with my 17 year old son. I work from home with a very flexible work schedule. I grew up with a German Shepherd and a Labrador and two house cats. I worked in three big pet shops in Budapest. We were selling hamsters, birds, bunnies, different type of lizards, tarantulas, snakes, turtles, tortoises, mice, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, chameleons, chinchillas, chipmunks, and other small pets. We also had grey parrots, and I made friends with a cockatoo. I had an Irish Setter that I loved very much. Then, I had a Basset Hound, a Chinese soft-shell turtle, and a Persian cat at the same time. Later, while working in the pet store, I took in a pregnant hamster that had 15 pups. I also had dwarf hamsters and guppies. I went to the Budapest Zoo two times a year where I could feed the elephants by handing them an apple or a carrot. It was an amazing experience. I also visited a country side zoo where I could pet lion cubs for a short time, and a Zoo cafe where you could hold onto different small pets. I moved to Spain where I had 10 budgies in an aviary on the balcony, and rescued a rosy-faced lovebird and a yellow-collard lovebird. They fell in love with each other and became a couple. I have a cat here in Cork. I made friends with a robin who was coming to my hand for two years. He was also coming into my room to eat. I have some magpie friends who are coming to my window to ask for dry cat food. I can take your dog for a walk if you live in my area or do daily visits and feed your cat or dog. Unfortunately, I can't host any animals in my home anymore because animals are not allowed inside the rental. I also would be happy to feed your hamster, bird, reptile, or any other small animal you have and clean their space. I have experience with most of them due to working in pet shops for many years. I am available any time. I can send you photos and updates about your pet anytime. I am working from home Mon-Thu 5 pm, Fri 4 pm. I can also walk your dog on any weekend or bank holiday if you live in Cork City or around, Ballinlough, or Douglas. I feed your pet, clean their plates and their place, clean the cat toilet, rub them, play with them, brush them, and give them lots of love.

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and farm animals, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. As an adult, I’ve continued sharing my life with both dogs and cats, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m a biologist, and I’ve even had the chance to help with rabies vaccination campaigns in Africa alongside specialized veterinarians for several years. Friends and family often trust me to take care of their pets when they need a hand. I love going for walks, playing, and just hanging out with animals, it never feels like work to me! I am currently learning academic english in UCC and I am able to work after classes. I am available from 2pm onwards on Mondays and Tuesdays and the whole day on Fridays and weekends. I am free to overnight if needed. I am very flexible. I prefer to care for pets at the clients home; I live in a house that already have 3 dogs and bringing a extra pet will not be suitable. I will follow all the instructions from the client conscientiously on how the pet needs to be cared. Each pet have their own ways and it is very important to embrace their needs and personalities.

About: I spent many summers taking care of my family's dogs; I used to have a Labrador, but currently I have a cat who thinks he's a dog—he's really not afraid. I love cats and dogs. Currently I work the night shift from 3 PM to midnight. I have free time to walk your pet or visit them in the morning or early afternoon. I live in a building on the third floor, I have a park nearby to walk in, and my house is safe because I don't have access to the street.

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet. I provide reliable, attentive, and loving care, with regular updates and photos for peace of mind. 🐾 Caring for dogs is part of my everyday life. I have three large dogs of my own, so daily walks, feeding, exercise, and playtime are already built into my routine. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable and attentive care for other pets as well. 🐾 In a pet owner’s home, I make sure pets maintain their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and relaxed. I spend quality time with them, provide companionship, playtime, fresh water, meals, and regular walks.

About: I’ve loved animals since childhood, growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even chickens. My dream has always been to become a veterinarian, and this passion guides the way I care for every animal. In Brazil, I have a 2-year-old small dog who is lovingly cared for by my mother-in-law, another devoted dog lover. All the pets I’ve had throughout my life were adopted from shelters, because I believe every animal deserves a safe, loving home. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters, helping abandoned animals receive care, comfort, and attention.

I bring this same dedication to my work as a pet sitter. I adapt easily to each pet’s individual needs—whether they’re playful, shy, senior, or need extra care. I’m attentive to routines such as feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and potty breaks, always following the owner’s instructions to maintain consistency and comfort. During walks, I prioritize safety by choosing calm routes, keeping a secure leash, and watching for any stress signals.

For home visits or house sitting, I provide constant supervision, keep the environment clean, follow medication schedules if needed, and ensure pets feel relaxed and emotionally supported. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and at home while their family is away. Responsible, trustworthy, and compassionate, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I’m organized, responsible, and able to dedicate time and attention to feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and companionship. I’ve experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of patience, routine, and affection. I’m also a part-time student, so I attend school during the afternoons, but I still have flexibility to provide loving and reliable care before and after classes. I also keep pet owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel comfortable and confident while they are away. I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment for pets, always respecting their routine and personality. In a pet owner’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, playtime, and house rules to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I’m attentive, patient, and detail-oriented, making sure pets are supervised and well cared for at all times. I do not smoke or drink, and I treat every pet with kindness, affection, and responsibility, just like they are part of the family. I also do not have any other pets in my home, which helps provide a quieter and more comfortable environment for the animals in my care.

About: I am an animal lover and I'm not afraid to admit that my dog is my best friend. I enjoy the outdoors and with an energetic Jack Russell who loves his walks and spins in the car are a must. Dogs give us nothing but love so the least I can do is show them love & care when they stay in my home. I live with my semi retired uncle who loves having the company of a dog in the house and I also rent a room to students so the dogs staying with me will never be on their own too long. I have a front garden & enclosed back garden. I also live close to walkways so they will have plenty of exercise. I run a calm and comfortable house. Dogs in my care can come to relax and chill out or play and run around with my little terrier. I give the dogs the run of the downstairs areas of my home so they will not be confined to small spaces or just one room.

About: Hi! I’m Sofía, a huge animal lover from Mexico living in Cork. And when I say animal lover, I mean it from ants to whales 🐜🐋 Every single creature has my heart. I’ve had pets my whole life and I’ve done pet sitting before, so I truly understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your baby with someone new. That’s why I’d love to hear everything about them before we even start — their favourite games, their little habits, what makes them feel safe. The more I know, the better I can care for them! I’m available for morning visits and evenings from 6pm to 10pm. I can take them for walks (30 min to 1 hour), play with them, feed them, bathe them, give medication if needed, and honestly just give them all the love and attention they deserve. Park trips or any fun outing? Absolutely yes 🐶🌳 I’ll keep you updated every single day with photos and videos, and if you miss them too much, we can always do a video call so you can see your furry baby happy and thriving 🥰 I only care for vaccinated pets and I’d love to do a meet and greet first so we can all get comfortable together. Can’t wait to meet your pet! 💖 I am currently working part time near MTU, so I have plenty of availability during weekdays (mornings until 1:30PM & after 6PM) and weekends (full availability). I am the kind of person who treats pets as if they’re human so I’d introduce myself and make sure they seem comfortable with me. I like to make sure they are well feed and have enough water. Sharing photos and videos is a most to make sure I’m doing things the way you would and you also get to see your furry baby

I would highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog walker and pet sitter. Paula has looked after my dog, Cookie, on many occasions and there will be many more to come. She is absolutely fantastic with Cookie and has a natural way with dogs. Cookie adores her, and I always have complete peace of mind, knowing he is in her care. One thing I particularly like and appreciate is that Paula keeps in regular contact while I am away, sending daily updates and photos of Cookie. It is so reassuring to know, how he is getting on and to see how happy and settled he is in her care. I would not hesitate to recommend Paula to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring person to look after their pets. Any pet would be lucky to have Paula for company. Thanks John & Cookie

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cork choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
