About: Hi! Hope you and your pet are well :) My name is Marcela, I am a Brazilian- Italian living in Cork, I have 26 years old and I love animals. As an experienced pet care provider, I have worked with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, and birds. I'm not only comfortable with different breeds and species but also skilled in administering medication, ensuring your pet's health and safety at all times. Whether it's a playful puppy, a curious cat, or a talkative bird, I know how to cater to their specific needs and personalities. My love for animals started when I was a little girl, and that passion has given me the chance to build amazing relationships with different pets over the years. These experiences have provided me with valuable knowledge and countless animal friends along the way. I offer personalized, loving care for your furry or feathered family members, treating each pet as if they were my own. Walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of cuddles are all part of the experience. I understand that every pet is unique, and I adapt my care to ensure they feel safe, loved, and well-attended. You can trust that your pet will receive the best care possible, no matter their size or temperament. Let's make your pet's day brighter! This summer I'll have a very flexible schedule and will be available every day. I enjoy spending time with animals, so pet sitting fits perfectly into my routine. I'll be able to provide plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and care based on each pet's needs. I primarily provide care in the pet owner's home, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I carefully follow their usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed and instructed), and lots of attention and companionship. I also send regular updates and photos to keep owners informed and give them peace of mind while they're away.

About: I've spent my whole life around dogs, from raising Shepherds as a kid to recently caring for friends, neighbors, and families pets and volunteering at an animal shelter. That hands-on experience means I genuinely understand how they think and what they need. I can read a dog's body language, recognize when something's off, and respond calmly and confidently in any situation. What your dog gets with me: someone who shows up on time, every time, and treats your pup with the same care I'd give my own. I'm currently a Microbiome Science master's student at UCC. During the week, I am available after 5 PM and on the weekend am available all day Whether I'm visiting your home or welcoming your pet into mine, your pet's safety and comfort always come first. I follow the owner's routine closely, feeding schedules, walking routes, any rules they've set, because consistency is what makes them feel secure in an unfamiliar situation.

About: I have loved and cared for animals since childhood, growing up surrounded by various pets. This lifelong passion has given me years of experience handling dogs, cats, and small animals. As a proud owner of a wonderful dog named Margot, I deeply understand how important consistency, safety, and affection are to a pet's well-being.
To ensure your pet stays completely comfortable, I offer exclusive services directly at your home or in your local area, including energetic dog walking and dedicated home visits. This means your furry friend can maintain their familiar routine in their own safe environment without any unnecessary stress.
My services are entirely tailored to your instructions. Each visit or walk includes fresh water, feeding schedules, plenty of interactive playtime, and comforting companionship. When out on walks, I always map out calm, secure routes, keeping a close eye on your dog's body language and comfort levels.
Whether you need regular walks for a playful pup or home visits for a quiet cat who prefers their own space, I treat every animal with the same devotion as my own. As I currently work part-time with flexible hours, pet care fits perfectly into my weekly schedule. I have specifically structured my routine to ensure maximum availability during the day, making it incredibly easy to adapt to your pet's specific needs. Whether it is a lunchtime walk, a mid-afternoon check-in, or feeding schedules, my flexible setup allows me to be highly responsive and completely dedicated to your pet whenever they need me. I offer pet care exclusively at the owner's home and within their local area, as I do not board pets in my own home. When doing home visits or house sitting, I focus entirely on maintaining your pet's familiar routine to keep them stress-free. This includes strictly following feeding and medication schedules, replenishing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes or bowls, and providing plenty of companionship and interactive playtime. For outdoor care, I tailor daily walks to your dog's specific energy levels and temperament, ensuring they are always kept on a secure leash. I carefully map out calm, safe routes in the neighbourhood and pay close attention to their body language to ensure they return home happy, thoroughly exercised, and completely relaxed.

About: I am a very cheerful, empathetic, and responsible person. I've been surrounded by pets my entire life, I have my own dog and have always taken care of him with all the love and attention in the world. My family also fully trusts me to look after their dogs whenever they travel or need a hand. I completely understand how important our furry friends are as family members, so your dog will get plenty of fun walks, lots of cuddles, and a completely safe environment. As a student, I have the flexibility to give them the care and company they deserve, treating them exactly as if they were my own. Since I am a student, my schedule is highly flexible. I have plenty of free time to dedicate to playing, walking, and keeping your dog company. I am fully available on weekends, and during the week I can easily organize my study time to ensure your pet gets all the attention, bathroom breaks, and care they need throughout the day. Since I offer my sitting services at the owner's home, your dog gets the best of both worlds: staying comfortable in their familiar environment, while still enjoying plenty of fun outdoor walks, exercise, and playtime. Safety and trust are my absolute priorities. I am highly responsible, always keep a close eye on the pets in my care during our walks, and strictly follow your specific routines, feeding schedules, and household rules. About: I am an animal lover and I'm not afraid to admit that my dog is my best friend. I enjoy the outdoors and with an energetic Jack Russell who loves his walks and spins in the car are a must. Dogs give us nothing but love so the least I can do is show them love & care when they stay in my home. I live with my semi retired uncle who loves having the company of a dog in the house and I also rent a room to students so the dogs staying with me will never be on their own too long. I have a front garden & enclosed back garden. I also live close to walkways so they will have plenty of exercise. I run a calm and comfortable house. Dogs in my care can come to relax and chill out or play and run around with my little terrier. I give the dogs the run of the downstairs areas of my home so they will not be confined to small spaces or just one room.

About: I spent many summers taking care of my family's dogs; I used to have a Labrador, but currently I have a cat who thinks he's a dog—he's really not afraid. I love cats and dogs. Currently I work the night shift from 3 PM to midnight. I have free time to walk your pet or visit them in the morning or early afternoon. I live in a building on the third floor, I have a park nearby to walk in, and my house is safe because I don't have access to the street.

About: I’ve loved animals since childhood, growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even chickens. My dream has always been to become a veterinarian, and this passion guides the way I care for every animal. In Brazil, I have a 2-year-old small dog who is lovingly cared for by my mother-in-law, another devoted dog lover. All the pets I’ve had throughout my life were adopted from shelters, because I believe every animal deserves a safe, loving home. I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters, helping abandoned animals receive care, comfort, and attention.

I bring this same dedication to my work as a pet sitter. I adapt easily to each pet’s individual needs—whether they’re playful, shy, senior, or need extra care. I’m attentive to routines such as feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and potty breaks, always following the owner’s instructions to maintain consistency and comfort. During walks, I prioritize safety by choosing calm routes, keeping a secure leash, and watching for any stress signals.

For home visits or house sitting, I provide constant supervision, keep the environment clean, follow medication schedules if needed, and ensure pets feel relaxed and emotionally supported. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and at home while their family is away. Responsible, trustworthy, and compassionate, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I’m organized, responsible, and able to dedicate time and attention to feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and companionship. I’ve experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of patience, routine, and affection. I’m also a part-time student, so I attend school during the afternoons, but I still have flexibility to provide loving and reliable care before and after classes. I also keep pet owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel comfortable and confident while they are away. I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment for pets, always respecting their routine and personality. In a pet owner’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, playtime, and house rules to help pets feel comfortable and secure. I’m attentive, patient, and detail-oriented, making sure pets are supervised and well cared for at all times. I do not smoke or drink, and I treat every pet with kindness, affection, and responsibility, just like they are part of the family. I also do not have any other pets in my home, which helps provide a quieter and more comfortable environment for the animals in my care.

Paula was incredible with my dog, a 1 year old Belgian Malinois cross. My dog is quite picky with people and can be a bit of a handful. Paula had her eating out of her hands within seconds. I couldn't believe how Pepper responded to her. It was like she knew her for months. Paula is one of those rare individuals that understands animals and whos calmness is picked up by them. I wouldn't hesitate to book Paula again or reccomend her to anyone considering hiring her.

About: My name is Timi, originally from Hungary, but I grew up in Spain. I live here in Cork for 7 years and got the citizenship. I live with my 17 year old son. I work from home with a very flexible work schedule. I grew up with a German Shepherd and a Labrador and two house cats. I worked in three big pet shops in Budapest. We were selling hamsters, birds, bunnies, different type of lizards, tarantulas, snakes, turtles, tortoises, mice, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, chameleons, chinchillas, chipmunks, and other small pets. We also had grey parrots, and I made friends with a cockatoo. I had an Irish Setter that I loved very much. Then, I had a Basset Hound, a Chinese soft-shell turtle, and a Persian cat at the same time. Later, while working in the pet store, I took in a pregnant hamster that had 15 pups. I also had dwarf hamsters and guppies. I went to the Budapest Zoo two times a year where I could feed the elephants by handing them an apple or a carrot. It was an amazing experience. I also visited a country side zoo where I could pet lion cubs for a short time, and a Zoo cafe where you could hold onto different small pets. I moved to Spain where I had 10 budgies in an aviary on the balcony, and rescued a rosy-faced lovebird and a yellow-collard lovebird. They fell in love with each other and became a couple. I have a cat here in Cork. I made friends with a robin who was coming to my hand for two years. He was also coming into my room to eat. I have some magpie friends who are coming to my window to ask for dry cat food. I can take your dog for a walk if you live in my area or do daily visits and feed your cat or dog. Unfortunately, I can't host any animals in my home anymore because animals are not allowed inside the rental. I also would be happy to feed your hamster, bird, reptile, or any other small animal you have and clean their space. I have experience with most of them due to working in pet shops for many years. I am available any time. I can send you photos and updates about your pet anytime. I am working from home Mon-Thu 5 pm, Fri 4 pm. I can also walk your dog on any weekend or bank holiday if you live in Cork City or around, Ballinlough, or Douglas. I feed your pet, clean their plates and their place, clean the cat toilet, rub them, play with them, brush them, and give them lots of love.

About: Since I was 12, I’ve been walking a Jack Russell several times a week. Over the years, I've also cared for my friends' dogs while they were away. Now that I’ve moved from the Netherlands to Cork, I really miss being around dogs, so I’m looking forward to meeting yours! I started studying at UCC this September, so the walks/visits will be scheduled around my college timetable. I'm fully available on most fridays, saturdays, and sundays. I'm happy to visit your house to walk your dog, play with them for a bit, or stay longer if needed. I'll make sure they get the attention and exercise they need.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Cork on Rover is €17.25 per Visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 125 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Cork. Enter your Eircode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or toilet breaks occurred, for doggy day care, home visits, and dog walking services. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Cork pet parents with similar pet households.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cork choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
