About: I’ve been the family pet sitter for years with 2 of my own dogs, Bucky 6 and Sasha 4. Looking to earn some extra cash so thought why not do it doing something I love, looking after someone else’s babies 🥰. I have my own home with a large garden and I work from home so dogs are walked during my lunch break and again in the evening for a quick run around the local park. Outside of that your doggo can relax on the couch with my two and get lots of cuddles 🥰 I work from home for majority of the week - the longest your dog will be alone is 4 hours at a stretch. I walk a lot, so your dog will get adequate exercise depending on their needs. I usually take my dogs out a lunch time and in the evenings for a quick run around the park too. I have a large fenced garden. I also have a crate that I have made cosy so if your dog needs their own space they can sleep in the crate but also happy for them to sleep on the couch. I want your dog to feel at home, this is not a kennels.
“Wally was in love with Imelda’s dogs and had the time of his life! I was updated regularly with cute photos and videos of them together and it was clear he was in good hands 😊 highly recommend ”

About: Hi 👋 I’m Amy! I’ve been caring for dogs for over 8 years, starting with our family dog, Cleo. I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs while they’ve been away, including stays of up to two weeks, so I understand how important it is for owners to know their dog is in loving, reliable hands 🩷 I work from home, which means your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day. I also have a friendly Corgi, Winnie, who loves other dogs, so your pup would have to be okay with another dog in the house 🐶 I’ll always stick to your dog’s usual routine, whether that’s feeding times, walks, medication or crate training. I’ll also send plenty of photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is happy, comfortable and being treated like one of the family 🏡🩷 I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention and supervision throughout the day. They’ll be part of our daily routine with walks, playtime, enrichment and lots of cuddles. Dogs are never left alone for more than 2 hours, and that’s only occasionally if we need to pop out. I’m available for both weekday and weekend boarding and I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness are my top priorities. I have a secure, fully enclosed garden for supervised play and a friendly Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Winnie, who loves the company of other dogs. As Winnie is crate trained, we’re happy to accommodate other crate-trained dogs and follow their usual routine. I’ll also stick to your dog’s feeding schedule, walking routine and any medication or special instructions. To provide every dog with a calm, stress-free stay, we only board one family’s dog(s) at a time. I’ll keep you updated throughout their stay with regular photos and videos, so you can relax knowing they’re being cared for like one of the family.

“Luna stays with Courtney regularly now, and I'm really happy with the service. Easy drop off, convenient location for me, Courtney sends me updates, and most of all, Luna is minded well.”
About: I am an animal lover and I'm not afraid to admit that my dog is my best friend. I enjoy the outdoors and with an energetic Jack Russell who loves his walks and spins in the car are a must. Dogs give us nothing but love so the least I can do is show them love & care when they stay in my home. I live with my semi retired uncle who loves having the company of a dog in the house and I also rent a room to students so the dogs staying with me will never be on their own too long. I have a front garden & enclosed back garden. I also live close to walkways so they will have plenty of exercise. I run a calm and comfortable house. Dogs in my care can come to relax and chill out or play and run around with my little terrier. I give the dogs the run of the downstairs areas of my home so they will not be confined to small spaces or just one room.

“Ludmila is a complete angel! It was our first time leaving Millie with someone like this and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Ludmila is clearly a natural dog person and has a gift with animals. Millie can be a bit nervous but took to Ludmila very quickly and didn’t want to leave when we came back to collect her! Ludmila took amazing care of Millie, sent lots of photos and updates and we could see that Millie was at ease and enjoying Ludmila’s company as well as socialising with some new dogs! Ludmila was also very obliging as it was quite last minute due to unexpected health issues with a family member. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ludmila or to leave Millie there again! Thanks a million Ludmila-can’t wait for Millie’s next visit”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and caring for dogs has been a natural part of my life for many years. I currently run a small home-based dog boarding service, where I provide a safe, loving and cozy environment for small-breed pups and dogs. Each dog is treated like family, with lots of cuddles, playtime and attention to their unique needs. I understand how important routine and comfort are for dogs, especially when they’re away from home, so I make sure to follow your pup’s/dogs schedule closely, from mealtimes and walks to play sessions and nap times. I also keep owners updated with photos, videos and messages so you can feel at ease while your furry baby is with me. Timea was great! I was anxious leaving my pup for the day but timea reassured me via pictures and videos. He seemed to really enjoy his time, always paying or sleeping! I got a full breakdown of his day, how he behaved or what they got up to! Would highly recommend Timea if your looking for someone to mind your pet!

Milo had such a great time staying with Qing! She is friendly, kind, and truly caring. Milo clearly enjoyed his stay and was very well taken care of. Qing kept me updated with lots of photos, walked him regularly, and made sure he was well fed. I felt completely at ease knowing Milo was in such good hands. I will definitely book with Qing again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving sitter for their fur baby.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your working day. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalised environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-to-one attention, and same-day collection and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose 'can host' section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socialising needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters 'Doesn't own a dog' and 'Only accepts one pet at a time' to find the right care.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they 'Accept multiple clients' or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Many sitters on Rover can help with collection and drop-off! You can find the cost of collection and drop-off in their profile under 'See additional rates'.
If you found a day care close to your home in Cork, you can also explore dog walking as an add-on service, which allows your sitter to collect or drop off your dog from their home to yours. Add your location to the search field to find sitters near you and message them directly about transport alternatives.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
