“We left Ollie with Aline for a full day to get him prepared for an over night stay! Ollie loved it and Aline was very reassuring which was great as it was our first time leaving him for that long! Thanks Aline”

“Ludmila is a complete angel! It was our first time leaving Millie with someone like this and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Ludmila is clearly a natural dog person and has a gift with animals. Millie can be a bit nervous but took to Ludmila very quickly and didn’t want to leave when we came back to collect her! Ludmila took amazing care of Millie, sent lots of photos and updates and we could see that Millie was at ease and enjoying Ludmila’s company as well as socialising with some new dogs! Ludmila was also very obliging as it was quite last minute due to unexpected health issues with a family member. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ludmila or to leave Millie there again! Thanks a million Ludmila-can’t wait for Millie’s next visit”

About: I am an animal lover and I'm not afraid to admit that my dog is my best friend. I enjoy the outdoors and with an energetic Jack Russell who loves his walks and spins in the car are a must. Dogs give us nothing but love so the least I can do is show them love & care when they stay in my home. I live with my semi retired uncle who loves having the company of a dog in the house and I also rent a room to students so the dogs staying with me will never be on their own too long. I have a front garden & enclosed back garden. I also live close to walkways so they will have plenty of exercise. I run a calm and comfortable house. Dogs in my care can come to relax and chill out or play and run around with my little terrier. I give the dogs the run of the downstairs areas of my home so they will not be confined to small spaces or just one room.
“Valentina and Marisa are fantastic. I couldn’t be happier with their service. They are very reliable and have a genuine love for dogs. I highly recommend Valentina and Marisa for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter ”
“Wally was in love with Imelda’s dogs and had the time of his life! I was updated regularly with cute photos and videos of them together and it was clear he was in good hands 😊 highly recommend ”

About: Hi, I'm David and based in Ballincollig. I've always had a huge love for dogs and owned one of my own over 11 years but he sadly passed away in April. Jackson was a friendly half-Lab, half Pitbull who taught me how much joy and loyalty dogs bring to your life. I'm a very active person and while I have the most experience with medium to bigger sized dogs, I am open to walking all kinds. I'm reliable, patient and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I'll treat each dog with the same care and attention I gave my own. Available for walks around Ballincollig, I am happy to walk dogs whether they are vaccinated or not and I am usually available for longer walks if that suits your dog. I also drive so I can come to meet you if that is more suitable. Really looking forward to spending time with dogs again! I work from the office 2–3 half days per week, so I have good flexibility throughout the week. Mondays and Fridays are particularly suitable for me, as well as weekends. I’m also available for one-hour dog walks around lunchtime on most weekdays, as well as evening walks on most days depending on my work schedule. I’m happy to arrange a regular schedule or accommodate occasional walks where possible. I’ll always do my best to work around your dog’s routine and make sure they get the exercise, attention and care they need. I have a safe and secure home environment, including an enclosed back garden with full fencing, providing a secure space if a dog is ever in my care at home. I understand how important trust is when it comes to looking after pets, and I always prioritise safety, supervision, and consistency. I’m calm, responsible, and attentive with dogs, and I will treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well looked after at all times.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover and caring for dogs has been a natural part of my life for many years. I currently run a small home-based dog boarding service, where I provide a safe, loving and cozy environment for small-breed pups and dogs. Each dog is treated like family, with lots of cuddles, playtime and attention to their unique needs. I understand how important routine and comfort are for dogs, especially when they’re away from home, so I make sure to follow your pup’s/dogs schedule closely, from mealtimes and walks to play sessions and nap times. I also keep owners updated with photos, videos and messages so you can feel at ease while your furry baby is with me. Whether it’s daily walks, overnight stays, daycare or just keeping your pup company, I promise to give them the same love and care that I give my own. 🐾💛✨ I’m a full-time mum and also a proud pet parent myself, so I’m home and available to care for your furry baby throughout the day. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine—I love having dogs around and making sure they get the attention, playtime and cuddles they deserve. I have a fully fenced yard and a gentle, friendly Bichon Frise called Frosty who loves company. I mostly board small breeds so everyone feels safe and cared for. Pets are always supervised and I follow each owner’s instructions closely—whether it’s feeding schedules, walks or special needs. My goal is to create a warm, stress-free environment so your pup/dog feels right at home🐾🐶
About: Hello Everyone 👋 I hope you are well! We are here to dog sit, dog board or just mind the doggies and go for a few walks, whatever is needed! We both love pets in general. I had a toy poodle for 16 years, unfortunately he passed away a few years ago due to old age and blindness. Gerry had bigger dogs all his life. Dogs are great best friends and companions. We both really miss the presence of a dog around and would love to mind and look after more dogs. Where we are living, we have a nice garden enclosed with gates and plenty of walks nearly by and green surrounds, great for a doggie getaway! We are available for dog walks and sitting and dog boarding so please take a look at my profile. We would be available generally on the weekends but if you have dates in mind just let me know and I will check 😊

“Rooney went to stay with Courtney for a few hours as a test for an overnight in a couple of weeks. Rooney settled in very well with Courtney and the rest of the doggies there and I would have no problem with her returning. ”

About: I am Brazilian, we used to live in apartment blocks, and dogs require a lot of attention and they have a lot of energy. I used to walk my neighbours dogs since I’m 15. I also served as an overnight sitter when they went on holidays. My schedule is very flexible! I can try fitting in your routine and we can make it work :) I’m always free at night time during the week and majority of mornings too! Free on Saturday mornings and Sunday Afternoons. At home, my dog Cookie is part of the family. I like to ask the dog’s/owner’s schedule, so the pet doesn’t really get impacted with the change in the routine. I like to give a lot of attention and show that I’m present to the pet at the moment. Lots of walks, maybe movie nights, biscuits and play time.
“Fantastic service, we have used Ciana a number of times to look after our dog Pepper and will continue to do so in the future. She is genuinely a dog lover and you can be assured that your dog will be in good hands with Ciana, plenty of walks, fun and cuddles. ”

Overall, I aim to provide a calm, reliable presence so your dog feel safe, and you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. It was my first time leaving Rio with dog sitters, and I was honestly quite nervous — he’s still a puppy. I spent a long time looking for people I could trust with him, and I’m so glad I found you! You clearly love dogs, and seeing how you were with Rio really put me at ease. After meeting you and doing a trial stay, I felt comfortable booking him in while we’re away. Thank you for taking care of our boy ❤️

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your working day. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalised environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-to-one attention, and same-day collection and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose 'can host' section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socialising needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters 'Doesn't own a dog' and 'Only accepts one pet at a time' to find the right care.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities or supervised play with compatible dogs. Every sitter on Rover has their own routine and some may offer flexible activities suited to your dog. 80% of sitters in your city can provide daily exercise during dog boarding bookings.
These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the booking so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Many sitters on Rover can help with collection and drop-off! You can find the cost of collection and drop-off in their profile under 'See additional rates'.
If you found a day care close to your home in Midleton, you can also explore dog walking as an add-on service, which allows your sitter to collect or drop off your dog from their home to yours. Add your location to the search field to find sitters near you and message them directly about transport alternatives.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
