About: Hi! Hope you and your pet are well :) My name is Marcela, I am a Brazilian- Italian living in Cork, I have 26 years old and I love animals. As an experienced pet care provider, I have worked with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, and birds. I'm not only comfortable with different breeds and species but also skilled in administering medication, ensuring your pet's health and safety at all times. Whether it's a playful puppy, a curious cat, or a talkative bird, I know how to cater to their specific needs and personalities. My love for animals started when I was a little girl, and that passion has given me the chance to build amazing relationships with different pets over the years. These experiences have provided me with valuable knowledge and countless animal friends along the way. I offer personalized, loving care for your furry or feathered family members, treating each pet as if they were my own. Walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of cuddles are all part of the experience. I understand that every pet is unique, and I adapt my care to ensure they feel safe, loved, and well-attended. You can trust that your pet will receive the best care possible, no matter their size or temperament. Let's make your pet's day brighter! This summer I'll have a very flexible schedule and will be available every day. I enjoy spending time with animals, so pet sitting fits perfectly into my routine. I'll be able to provide plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and care based on each pet's needs. I primarily provide care in the pet owner's home, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I carefully follow their usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed and instructed), and lots of attention and companionship. I also send regular updates and photos to keep owners informed and give them peace of mind while they're away.

“Courtney is great with our dog Lucy, Lucy doesn’t take too well to many people but Courtney put in the time with her and now they are best friends. She gets really excited when Courtney comes round. Always on time and never bay problems ”
“Diarmuid is great with our dog Nacho. Nacho is very nervous of new people and Diarmuid has been very patient with him, making sure Nacho is not afraid and building his trust. We will definitely be working with Diarmuid again.”

About: Hi! I’m Erin, a reliable and caring animal lover with hands-on experience caring for my own dogs, a pug and a cocker spaniel. Growing up with dogs, hamsters and birds has given me a deep understanding of different personalities, energy levels, and routines. 🐶 I’m passionate about being a pet sitter because I love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I adapt my approach to each dog’s needs, whether that’s a calm, relaxed walk or something more active and engaging. 🦮 Walks typically last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on what suits your dog best. When caring for multiple pets, I ensure each one gets individual attention and is handled safely and calmly. My experience with dogs means I know how to stay calm and respond effectively in unexpected situations, from minor scrapes to vet visits. 🚗 I'm based in Douglas, and I have a full, clean driving license. I pride myself on being dependable and attentive, and I provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. 😁 I'm happy to answer any questions and provide more info - drop me a text any time! I currently work part-time, so I’m available for dog walks, home visits, and pet sitting. I’m available after 4:30pm Tuesday to Friday, and fully available Saturday to Monday. I currently don’t care for pets of any kind in my home at the moment, due to my two dogs individual needs right now.
About: I have two gorgeous dogs at home, Maple and Roxy. A Bernese mountain dog and a border collie. My mother is a dog trainer and I really enjoyed walking my dogs and helping her train them. I’m living in Cork city now and I miss walking my dogs and spending time with them. They’re amazing animals who can always brighten my day and I’d love to go for walks and look after them for you! I’m currently working part time in retail so have plenty of time for walks and drop in visits! I live very centrally to the city. I have experience with a highly reactive border collie (my dog roxy) and understand anxiety in dogs especially in regards to other dogs. I can also give dogs food in slow feeders or snuffle mats if needed.

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet. I provide reliable, attentive, and loving care, with regular updates and photos for peace of mind. 🐾 Caring for dogs is part of my everyday life. I have three large dogs of my own, so daily walks, feeding, exercise, and playtime are already built into my routine. This makes it easy for me to provide reliable and attentive care for other pets as well. 🐾 In a pet owner’s home, I make sure pets maintain their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and relaxed. I spend quality time with them, provide companionship, playtime, fresh water, meals, and regular walks.
About: I grew up with dogs, specifically a Jack Russell with attitude, and a Golden Labrador that was friendly, fun and stubborn. As an adult I have had cats, who gave come with their own personalities. I love dogs and cats of all sorts and love to see their personality shine through exercise and attention. I have lots of flexibility with my current job and looking to add some cat time!. I'm free most weekday mornings and early afternoons. Availability for some weekends. Cats have lots of personality - I like to adapt to their needs from the cats who never want to interact with you to those that want cuddles and playtime.

About: 📢 Contact me with your pets' needs. I'll be delighted to check my calendar and see how I can fit them into my schedule! 💚 I've grown up with cats and dogs, between my house and the grandparents. I am attentive and aware each is different and may have different requirements. I am working part time and live in the city centre so can help you out to ensure your baby is looked after when you're not there! My cats are indoor only. I have a strict feeding schedule and ensure they have both cuddle and playtime with me. I have created an engaging environment for them with a cat wheel, toys that suit them etc. I am particularly attentive to cleanliness as cats enjoy a neat environment.

About: I spent many summers taking care of my family's dogs; I used to have a Labrador, but currently I have a cat who thinks he's a dog—he's really not afraid. I love cats and dogs. Currently I work the night shift from 3 PM to midnight. I have free time to walk your pet or visit them in the morning or early afternoon. I live in a building on the third floor, I have a park nearby to walk in, and my house is safe because I don't have access to the street.
About: My name is Timi, originally from Hungary, but I grew up in Spain. I live here in Cork for 7 years and got the citizenship. I live with my 17 year old son. I work from home with a very flexible work schedule. I grew up with a German Shepherd and a Labrador and two house cats. I worked in three big pet shops in Budapest. We were selling hamsters, birds, bunnies, different type of lizards, tarantulas, snakes, turtles, tortoises, mice, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, chameleons, chinchillas, chipmunks, and other small pets. We also had grey parrots, and I made friends with a cockatoo. I had an Irish Setter that I loved very much. Then, I had a Basset Hound, a Chinese soft-shell turtle, and a Persian cat at the same time. Later, while working in the pet store, I took in a pregnant hamster that had 15 pups. I also had dwarf hamsters and guppies. I went to the Budapest Zoo two times a year where I could feed the elephants by handing them an apple or a carrot. It was an amazing experience. I also visited a country side zoo where I could pet lion cubs for a short time, and a Zoo cafe where you could hold onto different small pets. I moved to Spain where I had 10 budgies in an aviary on the balcony, and rescued a rosy-faced lovebird and a yellow-collard lovebird. They fell in love with each other and became a couple. I have a cat here in Cork. I made friends with a robin who was coming to my hand for two years. He was also coming into my room to eat. I have some magpie friends who are coming to my window to ask for dry cat food. I can take your dog for a walk if you live in my area or do daily visits and feed your cat or dog. Unfortunately, I can't host any animals in my home anymore because animals are not allowed inside the rental. I also would be happy to feed your hamster, bird, reptile, or any other small animal you have and clean their space. I have experience with most of them due to working in pet shops for many years. I am available any time. I can send you photos and updates about your pet anytime. I am working from home Mon-Thu 5 pm, Fri 4 pm. I can also walk your dog on any weekend or bank holiday if you live in Cork City or around, Ballinlough, or Douglas. I feed your pet, clean their plates and their place, clean the cat toilet, rub them, play with them, brush them, and give them lots of love.

About: At a young age I started working with farm animals (mostly horses, goats and sheep). A few years ago I pet-sat a full year for a dog breeder / behaviourist which thought me a lot about dogs specifically. I have always had good instincts when it comes to most animals and have had a few of my own. Being in a new country makes me miss having dogs or cats around. I'm a full-time student in a new country. During weekdays I have around 8 hours of class. Usually from morning until 3/4 pm after that and during the weekends my schedule is very flexible. I live in student accommodation and cannot care for dogs in my house at the moment. I'll be more than happy to take them out for long walks or to care for them in their own houses.

About: I have been surrounded by animals for most of my life and have always had a special love for dogs and cats. Growing up, my family had several dogs and cats, which gave me experience caring for pets of different personalities, sizes, and needs. As the owner of a Border Collie, I developed a strong understanding of the importance of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent care. We regularly went on long walks, played in parks, and enjoyed outdoor activities together. This experience taught me how to handle energetic dogs, recognize their needs, and ensure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for. I am comfortable with dog walking, feeding, providing companionship, playtime, and following owners' instructions regarding routines and special requirements. I understand that pets are family members, and I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect. I am happy to provide boarding, walks, and care at any time that works best for you. I provide attentive, responsible, and loving care for pets either in my home or in the pet owner’s home, always following the specific instructions given by the owner. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed by maintaining their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any medication if needed. I also pay close attention to their behavior and well-being, making sure they are happy and stress-free while their owners are away. For dogs, I enjoy regular walks, exercise, and interactive play to keep them active and engaged. For cats, I ensure a calm environment, clean litter boxes, fresh water, and gentle interaction according to their personality and comfort level. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, care, and affection, always prioritizing their safety and happiness.

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and farm animals, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. As an adult, I’ve continued sharing my life with both dogs and cats, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m a biologist, and I’ve even had the chance to help with rabies vaccination campaigns in Africa alongside specialized veterinarians for several years. Friends and family often trust me to take care of their pets when they need a hand. I love going for walks, playing, and just hanging out with animals, it never feels like work to me! I am currently learning academic english in UCC and I am able to work after classes. I am available from 2pm onwards on Mondays and Tuesdays and the whole day on Fridays and weekends. I am free to overnight if needed. I am very flexible. I prefer to care for pets at the clients home; I live in a house that already have 3 dogs and bringing a extra pet will not be suitable. I will follow all the instructions from the client conscientiously on how the pet needs to be cared. Each pet have their own ways and it is very important to embrace their needs and personalities.

About: Lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for small and medium breeds. My pet care philosophy focuses on patience, love, and ensuring every walk is a fun adventure. I am also free in the mornings before 12:00 PM and in the evenings after 5:00 PM—perfect for an energetic morning stroll to start the day or a relaxing evening walk before bedtime. I offer house sitting services, so your pup can stay safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. I am a calm, peaceful person, and for me, this isn't just work—I truly love and cherish the companionship of animals.
About: Since I was 12, I’ve been walking a Jack Russell several times a week. Over the years, I've also cared for my friends' dogs while they were away. Now that I’ve moved from the Netherlands to Cork, I really miss being around dogs, so I’m looking forward to meeting yours! I started studying at UCC this September, so the walks/visits will be scheduled around my college timetable. I'm fully available on most fridays, saturdays, and sundays. I'm happy to visit your house to walk your dog, play with them for a bit, or stay longer if needed. I'll make sure they get the attention and exercise they need.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and Walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
