About: I’ve been an animal lover since I can remember! But when my uncle asked me to house and dog sit for a few weeks over the summer, my love for dogs only grew fonder. We spent time on long and short walks, playing in the garden and building a strong connection. I’m currently on summer holidays from college and I was looking for something fulfilling to fill my time. I’m fully flexible right now and when I go back to college, I would love to dog walk to break up my study periods and to help me get outside more! I’m very attentive and will ensure that your dog is taken care of under my watch! I’ll make sure that their needs are fully met and that both me and your dog have a great time!

About: 📢 Contact me with your pets' needs. I'll be delighted to check my calendar and see how I can fit them into my schedule! 💚 I've grown up with cats and dogs, between my house and the grandparents. I am attentive and aware each is different and may have different requirements. I am working part time and live in the city centre so can help you out to ensure your baby is looked after when you're not there! My cats are indoor only. I have a strict feeding schedule and ensure they have both cuddle and playtime with me. I have created an engaging environment for them with a cat wheel, toys that suit them etc. I am particularly attentive to cleanliness as cats enjoy a neat environment.

About: I have loved and cared for animals since childhood, growing up surrounded by various pets. This lifelong passion has given me years of experience handling dogs, cats, and small animals. I deeply understand how important consistency, safety, and affection are to a pet's well-being. To ensure your pet stays completely comfortable, I offer exclusive services directly at your home or in your local area, including energetic dog walking and dedicated home visits. This means your furry friend can maintain their familiar routine in their own safe environment without any unnecessary stress. My services are entirely tailored to your instructions. Each visit or walk includes fresh water, feeding schedules, plenty of interactive playtime, and comforting companionship. When out on walks, I always map out calm, secure routes, keeping a close eye on your dog's body language and comfort levels. Whether you need regular walks for a playful pup or home visits for a quiet cat who prefers their own space, I treat every animal with the same devotion as my own. As I currently work part-time with flexible hours, pet care fits perfectly into my weekly schedule. I have specifically structured my routine to ensure maximum availability during the day, making it incredibly easy to adapt to your pet's specific needs. Whether it is a lunchtime walk, a mid-afternoon check-in, or feeding schedules, my flexible setup allows me to be highly responsive and completely dedicated to your pet whenever they need me. I offer pet care exclusively at the owner's home and within their local area, as I do not board pets in my own home. When doing home visits or house sitting, I focus entirely on maintaining your pet's familiar routine to keep them stress-free. This includes strictly following feeding and medication schedules, replenishing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes or bowls, and providing plenty of companionship and interactive playtime. For outdoor care, I tailor daily walks to your dog's specific energy levels and temperament, ensuring they are always kept on a secure leash. I carefully map out calm, safe routes in the neighbourhood and pay close attention to their body language to ensure they return home happy, thoroughly exercised, and completely relaxed.
“Diarmuid is great with our dog Nacho. Nacho is very nervous of new people and Diarmuid has been very patient with him, making sure Nacho is not afraid and building his trust. We will definitely be working with Diarmuid again.”

About: I am Brazilian, we used to live in apartment blocks, and dogs require a lot of attention and they have a lot of energy. I used to walk my neighbours dogs since I’m 15. I also served as an overnight sitter when they went on holidays. My schedule is very flexible! I can try fitting in your routine and we can make it work :) I’m always free at night time during the week and majority of mornings too! Free on Saturday mornings and Sunday Afternoons. At home, my dog Cookie is part of the family. I like to ask the dog’s/owner’s schedule, so the pet doesn’t really get impacted with the change in the routine. I like to give a lot of attention and show that I’m present to the pet at the moment. Lots of walks, maybe movie nights, biscuits and play time.

Currently I work the night shift from 3 PM to midnight. I have free time to walk your pet or visit them in the morning or early afternoon. I live in a building on the third floor, I have a park nearby to walk in, and my house is safe because I don't have access to the street.

About: I've been professionally walking dogs for over two years. I recently relocated back to Cork from Vancouver Canada, where I was working as a full-time dog walker, walking groups of 6 dogs at a time. I'm trained in dog behaviour and I'm 'Pet First-Aid' certified. I love dogs big and small and have no issues walking reactive dogs. Any questions, just ask :) I am available from 1.30PM daily, excluding Thursdays. I would love to book in some regular clients that I can see regularly and build a bond with. I am available to visit your home. Unfortunately I cannot offer dog or cat care in my home because I own a reactive dog who needs his space.
The median cost per walk for dog walking in Cork is €12

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and Walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
