About: Hi, I'm David and based in Ballincollig. I've always had a huge love for dogs and owned one of my own over 11 years but he sadly passed away in April. Jackson was a friendly half-Lab, half Pitbull who taught me how much joy and loyalty dogs bring to your life.
I'm a very active person and while I have the most experience with medium to bigger sized dogs, I am open to walking all kinds. I'm reliable, patient and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I'll treat each dog with the same care and attention I gave my own.
Available for walks around Ballincollig, I am happy to walk dogs whether they are vaccinated or not and I am usually available for longer walks if that suits your dog. I also drive so I can come to meet you if that is more suitable. Really looking forward to spending time with dogs again! I work from the office 2–3 half days per week, so I have good flexibility throughout the week. Mondays and Fridays are particularly suitable for me, as well as weekends. I’m also available for one-hour dog walks around lunchtime on most weekdays, as well as evening walks on most days depending on my work schedule. I’m happy to arrange a regular schedule or accommodate occasional walks where possible. I’ll always do my best to work around your dog’s routine and make sure they get the exercise, attention and care they need. I have a safe and secure home environment, including an enclosed back garden with full fencing, providing a secure space if a dog is ever in my care at home. I understand how important trust is when it comes to looking after pets, and I always prioritise safety, supervision, and consistency. I’m calm, responsible, and attentive with dogs, and I will treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they are comfortable, secure, and well looked after at all times.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for my own Labrador, Riley, who is 12 months old. I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day needs of a young, energetic dog, including walks, feeding, playtime, training, enrichment and plenty of cuddles. Riley has also given me experience with positive-reinforcement training, particularly lead walking, recall, basic commands and helping a young dog learn to stay calm around distractions. I’m comfortable managing different energy levels and making sure dogs get plenty of exercise while also having time to relax. I love being around dogs and would treat every dog in my care with the same patience, attention and affection that I give Riley. I work from home, so I’m around for most of the day and can give your dog plenty of attention, company and regular breaks. I’m happy to fit walks, playtime and rest around your dog’s usual routine, and I’m flexible with their individual needs. I have a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time. I have my own friendly Labrador, Riley, who loves having doggy company and playing with other dogs. I don’t currently use a crate, but I have crate-trained Riley so I’m very comfortable following a dog’s existing crate routine if they’re used to one. I’ll always follow your instructions and make sure your dog feels comfortable and settled while staying with me.

About: I’ve always loved animals and have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have a 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier, so I’m very familiar with daily walks, feeding, playtime, grooming, and making sure dogs get plenty of love and attention. I regularly look after my neighbour’s dog and cat, including walking the dog, feeding both pets, and spending time playing with them. I’ve also pet sat for my cousin’s dog and cat for four days while they were away, making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own. I have a flexible schedule and can provide pet care throughout the week, including weekends. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already part of my daily routine. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and pet sitting, and I’ll always make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a friendly 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and loved. I will always follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. Whether caring for pets in your home or taking them for walks, I will treat them as if they were my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and affection.

About: I’ve loved animals, especially dogs, since I was a child. Growing up in Brazil, I often saw dogs living on the streets and always wished I could bring them home and give them the care and affection they deserved. I don’t have a dog of my own in Ireland yet, so pet sitting is a lovely opportunity for me to spend time with animals while also earning some extra income. I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making them feel safe, comfortable and loved. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, and I’m happy to follow your instructions carefully. For me, looking after a pet is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be around animals that constantly teach us about love, loyalty and companionship. ❤️🐶 My spacious living room and secure grassy backyard provide a safe, stimulating environment for pets. With full-time availability since leaving my previous job, I can dedicate consistent attention to their daily routines, ensuring trust and comfort in my Cork home. In my home, I prioritize safety and comfort by providing a spacious living area for relaxation and a secure grassy backyard for exercise. Since I have full-time availability after leaving my previous job, I can maintain consistent routines, offer individualized attention, and ensure pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared-for in a calm domestic environment.

About: I've had dogs my whole life and currently have two of my own, so I'm very used to their daily care and needs. Over the years, I've also looked after dogs for neighbours, friends, and family, including walking, feeding, and spending time with them. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from energetic dogs that need plenty of exercise to older dogs who prefer a slower pace. I'm reliable, patient, and always focused on making sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I'm also happy to send photo updates after walks for peace of mind. I have a flexible routine that allows me to fit pet care into my week consistently. I'm most available from Thursday to Sunday, with good flexibility for both lunchtime and evening walks. I can plan my schedule in advance to make sure each dog gets reliable and unhurried attention. As a dog owner myself, I'm already used to daily walks and building my routine around them, so taking on additional walks fits naturally into my week. When caring for pets, their safety and well-being are my top priority at all times. I always follow the owner's instructions closely, including feeding routines, walking habits, and any specific needs or preferences. During walks, I ensure dogs are kept secure on leads unless otherwise agreed, and I avoid unsafe areas or situations. I pay close attention to each dog's behavior and comfort level so they feel relaxed and safe. As I also have dogs of my own, I'm very aware of how important routine, trust, and consistency are. I treat every dog as if they were my own and aim to provide a calm, positive experience for them on every walk. I'm also happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel reassured while their pet is with me.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, I see them as another family member. I’ve trained my own puppy not to pee indoors while also looking after my childhood dog in his senior years. I not only have a deep love for dogs, I also have the patience, attentiveness, and compassion needed to care for them at every stage of life. I am currently a college student with plenty of hours to spare. I am only available Monday-Wednesday as I am not in college on Thursdays and Fridays. I am not from cork so I head home on a Wednesday evening. While I am in cork I don’t have my dogs and would love to spend a couple of hours with pets while I am here as I miss being around my dogs. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar space. I follow the owner’s routine closely, giving plenty of walks, playtime, and of course lots of cuddles. My goal is to keep pets happy and cared for while giving owners peace of mind that their furry friend is in good hands.

The average cost for Dog Walking in Ballincollig on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per walk (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Walking easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Walking.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Ballincollig. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Ballincollig after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.

Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
